Yeah, I know what you mean. By the time she shows up, it's pretty late to be adding first gen characters. Swordmaster is one of the better standalone classes in the game, though, and she can ever Galeforce. If you wanted to use Say'ri, you'd not likely regret it. She's pretty decent.

Also, you guys and the people from the Robin thread ought to hang out in the Fire Emblem thread in the Lighthouse forum sometime. It gets a little lonely over there, but we discuss it all. We even started a FE13 draft run recently. Too late to join, but you could start your own if you could get 5 people interested! Each person gets 6 characters plus Chrom/MU, not including kids.

Not knowing about supports, when around Chapter 2 the game literally stops after you beat it to yell SUPPORTS UNLOCKED and waits for you to acknowledge this before moving on ...

Also, Say'ri. Sigh. Say'ri. Victim of really bad writing, i.e. the most poorly written arc in the game.

About half the people in the resistance are spies and the dynasts not allied with Walhart or Yen'fay are turncoats who'd leap to join the winning side."

This is the funniest thing I've seen all day. And so true.

Additionally, the Valm chapters were really boring and poorly thought out, though that probably has to do with the fact that it was basically pitting you against generic enemies while there's subtle world-building and blatant foreshadowing going on so the endgame will have meaning.

No. I think that meeting would just be too darn complicated. I'd be mess wondering about timelines and butterfly-effects. What if my newfound notion of what my child is to become changes how I'd treat infant them, Or their future mother? What if he/she lets on too much about the future and inadvertently causes me to ruin it and stop him/her from existing entirely?

Maybe the whole "time tries to flow on course" thing would kick in. Maybe not. But I've watched WAY too much scifi for that crap. I like to just keep time travel strictly speculative and out of my hair.
