Hmmmm yeah.....i don't think it will be THAT difficult. First things first though. Have to get the actual list in order, get the theme picked out and then go from there.

We could also do a 4chan thing, where everyone pulls out a meme they like and that is the position. I.E. pedobear, ****-monger, ect.

lol sry, this is just an easy place to vent my frustrations about how far away your city is. I blame Texas more than anything else, bigger is NOT always better.
And the drive isn't bad if I go nuts on the caffeine, its just a long time to be sitting in my car.

We are leaving at 7 on sunday be there around 9. Be ready for a full day of smash!! We are gathering at phil's place right ? We are bringing at least 1 fulls setup. Ginko/Turdox are still maybes at this point.This is still my take on the PR. I will just list these names in simple format for now.

Hmm, I don't know if I'd put you in 2nd though b/c everyone else has been in more local tournaments than you Tyson. We are basing ranking on tournaments but skill level factors in as well.

The point of a PR is to rank your best players to least. Tournament placing and skill typically go hand in hand. Just like in Houston, Roy_R doesn't attend all the hobo's but when he does get a chance to go to one he consistently places well, thus was always on the PR.
So you're saying how many tournaments you attend weighs heavily??
Also, you could add ADHT to the list, it had all the amarillo guys and lubbock people in it too. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it all ( cause its not at all) I was just curious. If that's what everybody general thinks then hey by all means i understand. No biggy =)

We were going to follow UTD Zac's system where tournament results are the prime factor for ranking people. I have no problem putting you in second Tyson. You obviously deserve it but I'd rather get everyone's input before doing it like that.

Oh right, Zac's system bases it off head-to-head. Which is good, and yeah the system does reward people for going to more tourneys( which is a good thing) One of the reasons the system works well is it doesn't punish people either for not attending ( like in my case)
If you look at Dojo in the Texas power rankings, he hasn't been to a tournament in forever, yet he still has his place at #2 and will stay their until someone plays in enough tourneys and gets enough points to pass him.
You guys do whatever you see fit, i don't care where i am on it. As long as i am on it. 806 is my Home =)

Tyson, I have a few questions for you. Depending on your answers will determine if we can put you on our permanent PR or Not.
1.) Where do you live? (not where you are from lol)
2.) Do you still play smash? (sorry, but sometimes your retired and sometimes your active)
3.) Money Match lol?
The reason I ask this is because:
As many of us think that the main point of a power ranking list is to name who is best, who the top dog is, and who is the "Best on the Block", you start to miss the true purpose of the list. Which is.......

The only problem I would find by putting Tyson on the Power Ranking is that, imagine if you we put him in the Number 2# spot. Tyson goes back to where ever he goes to college. Now Kyle is here chasing after 2nd spot...that he is never going to get because Tyson is long gone. How does that spark the competition? We won't know who is better between Kyle and Tyson until he comes back. Also, by not entering any recent tournament we can not track the progress of other players Vs Tyson ( like I bet Tyson Vs Bad Karma would be awesomely close). Thus delaying correct ranking and such. What is a Power Ranking, but a list of how well someone does Vs everyone else?

People could ( and would ) easily catch up and pass me just by entering tournaments alone with Zac's system. You are rewarded for attending more tournaments(and doing decent)for the most part.

Dakota, Tyson might represent a milestone to which we all can reach and eventually surpass. Kyle will be chasing 1st place, he can pass Tyson if Tyson misses a tournament and technically everyone else gets bumped up for tournament attendance. No worries there, everything balances out. Aren't you thinking of attending more lubbock events anyways Tyson? It'd be awesome for you to make it to DMT 5. I'm just restating what Tyson just said and it makes sense.

I find that Andre and I are pretty even in skill, it justs takes a lot to warm up our low tiers. Once we get them going, team Super Mario World is a formidable pair.

Pit combo videos always try to make arrow looping seem viable -.-

Next time I promise to be able to Viably get past those arrows Nolan!! (so that way i/we dont have to resort to timing out shenanigans >.<) Seems like DMT 5 is going to be Very competitive.
@Kyle Thanks so much for the metaknight help I'm happy to say that I beat kevin after our practice session which i feel is an accomplishment. Cant wait til dmt 5!!! Also!! (from Me Phil Nolan Ginko Kevin) Second place on the 806 PR is currently the most competitive spot!!

I thought 3rd spot was the most competitive? Kyle's prolly gonna stay in 2nd unless some major upsets take place at DMT 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, ...106....378..

I dont think even kyle is close to beating you yet and currently he is the best besides you.
I think eventually we will get competitive for that top spot, but right now that isnt plausible.
@alejandro You should see some of the games between Kyle vs Phil or Kyle vs me They are very close when we are playing our best.
