Edit: So I Called my venue guy, and convinced him to give us as much time as we need to finish this thing, so i've updated the rules to my origional rule set.

Our first Tournament will be held on Friday, June 6th, at 7pm at the Power of One Gym.

interesting rules. I once read that in japan street fighter II tourneys they restrict character changes. It should raise some interesting character...choosings. OMG, and best of 1 sets, eh? This should be quick.
Is it single our double elimination? (losers bracket?)

change the rules up a bit, and i guarantee more people attend.

i say make the rounds best 2/3.
make finals best 3/5.


also i believe you should allow character changing, counterpicking of stages..

if these rules are change ill defintly attend, and im sure alot of others will to.

I saw this and it all became clear.


Look guys you should all go to this event. It is a charity event that they are doing to help others in need. For that reason the rules are not a big deal. Not only that but he does seem like a new person to tournament hosting so he may just have one television and limited time. Support the community and the cause and go to this event.

Sadly I might not be able to make it but I will definitely give it a try.

I suggest taking a look at other tournament threads and seeing what they do and figuring out if it is better for you to change them. Either way good luck.

two things:
1) The Tournament is maxing out at 64 people, so the Guide Dog Donation won't be substantial. Try to get there early so you aren't turned away.
2) I know the rules suck, but as this tournament starts at 7, we aren't sure how much later a two out of three tourney would go. The rules may change, but as of right now, thats what we've got
