was messin with marths aerials on a computer. We all know this is a great kill move, but tippering with it is near impossible almost. A great way to tipper with it is to just shorthop forward and instant nair then di back in the middle of it. In theory this makes it so the weak part hits your opponent first then the second hit should tipper cuz your spacing urself in mid hit.

This is harder against mk, but it literally forces him to not short hop aerial you as much because he will b jumping into your nair. Not only is this a great way to kill people, but you can approach with it and be pretty safe. Since it does 2 hits instantly its gonna b harder for people to shield and the second hit if you do it perfectly should give them enough shield stun so they cant hurt you plus your always spacing yourself cuz ur going backwards near the end and its a lagless attack.

I havent really tried it against an actual human, but in theory it seems to be a better option than jumping in and fairing if you learn the spacing.

I would never do this as an approach except vs tall characters like Snake, Dedede, etc.

Works wonders vs them and abolishes Marth's greatest weakness.

The fact that he lacks a safe kill move.

But in those match-ups and a few others he actually has that, which really helps him out.

Other then that I use it as deterrent against SH approaches.

Yeah, it's best used as a wall unless you are fighting someone tall. Then you can actively approach with it.

by approach in brawl I just mean wiffing attacks no one ever approaches in this game lol. Its pretty good against short people it forces them not to short hop because they pretty much jump into it you can fast fall and land hits but its a lot harder to do that and u make it a slightly lagger move when landing but yah marth is pretty much a wall of **** moreso than lucario imo.

The nair is also pretty good for attack from underneath a platform because it reaches above marth on the backside, so you can shorthop and have the tip go through the platform.

i agree that its not a a terribly reliable move against shorter characters, but given an oppening, if you use the nair at the top of a shorthop and immediately ff, you can have the second swing sweep the floor in front of you and it transitions instantly into a dtilt.

Eh, I like to Nair and FF in place, which owns as a mindgame for when people roll toward you, which they can be conditioned to do if you Fair and follow through a lot. It's also good to edgeguard.

I also like to approach with a well spaced Nair and then throw Dolphin Slash to punish a grab attempt. The first part of Nair combos into things.

Recently, I'm experimenting with RARNair to hit an opponent above you, as one might do with a Fair.

I find that if you're trying to gimp your opponent, fair -> jump -> retreating nair often sweetspots with the tip of the blade and makes it extremely difficult for your opponent to recover.

EL I don't wanna burst your bubble but the japanese part of your sig is wrong in the second kanji and it's, "min nn na, mi te te ku le!", not "min nn na, mi te i te ku le!"

And you quoted my post to tell me this why?

And I don't care enough about the specifics of the kanji to tell Ankoku to fix it.

I think i'll be using nair more agains Ike now. fair's hitstun give him time to dodge or shield, so the next best thing is more knockback, I guess.

I also like to approach with DoubleJumped FF'd D-Air's. Works wonders on the computer in training mode set to stop.
