I went 3-2 for the day.
I lost 2-1 against Phenom's :4fox:and 2-1 against Blink's :4cloud:.
Both rounds were last game, final stock, high % situations where I couldn't seal a kill around 120 to 150.
Phenom got 3rd and Blink got 13th.

How big do tournaments have to be to list them here? I've played in and helped run a few locals in my region that actually go into a ranking system used for seeding brackets at events, but I haven't been able to travel to bigger regionals with 30-40 people. The biggest event I've been a part of had 19 people and the smallest had 9.

Tag is Ember in bracket. Placed 13/42
(Had 6WX, Vex, Uno, Blazing Pasta, Derps, Chibo, Hooded, just to throw out some bigger names)
Thunderstorm is currently ranked #2 on PR and I beat him 2-1. He played Falco and both times we were going to die and he died first. His game was definitively his.
Next I fought Chibo, I don't think he needs any introduction. It was on stream, link . (with timestamp!)
He goes Cloud and we go even, but he gets the last big hit. Second game I'm on fire and take it, 2 stock him. Room is hype. He switches to ROB and I take the upper hand. Sadly, I fall and I'll let you guys watch that.
Next I fight Jello, a Yoshi player. He was alright, my brother plays Yoshi to a fantastic level, so he wasn't too difficult.
Next I fight a Sonic, that sadly 2-0'ed me. It was some good fights and he out spaced me ever so slightly.

Told to put it here, most hype tournament for me and so close to taking out a real big name. Room was screaming, especially since it was a Link, oh and I use Wii mote and Nunchuk if that was missed.

This was a local in name only... the turnout was regional level. I lost to KidFlash's :4dk: game 3 despite playing like poop, then did exceptionally until losing game 3 to Hyrule Hero's:4link:.

Very happy with my results and broke my tournament record again, previously 3-2 to 5-2 now.

No rule do whatever you feel's okay. I don't post locals much myself 'cause some people could add brackets more than once a week at that point but if they're relevant to you go ahead

updatin around new years

Heres the rundown of my results then

I've used :4link: only, although I am working on a joke :4falcon:for a money match ditto and have a quarter-assed :4miigun:. I'm from Saskatchewan, in Canada, and I've started the scene in my home city Regina from scratch, as its mostly Maylay there.

http://challonge.com/Level8Smash1stStage (4th out of 9, 2-2 in bracket, 2-0 in ranking matches)
This was the first bracket, run out of my apartment July 10. It was 6 people in a high school crew, 2 of my friends from an anime club, and me. I lost my 1st round match against Candy Chicken (Marth) on a tube TV setup that wasn't the greatest, but rebounded nicely in loser's bracket to defeat my friend Saber(ZSS) and Markus(Link/Falcon). Rematch against Candy Chicken saw him go to Mewtwo on my Wii U setup and he 2-0ed me, mostly due to me feeding him golden reflect opportunities. I then had 2 ranking matches, as our ladder system requires a minimum of 5 matches to get ranked. I defeated Arrow(Lucina) and QWEXE(Charizard/Game+Watch) 2-0 with double 2 stocks. Overall, I was thrilled, I got actual victories after a rough go at Project M. Better times were ahead.......

http://challonge.com/g7cuuw67 (7th out of 17, 2-2 in bracket)
2nd bracket on August 21 was run in a converted church venue found by a member of the high school crew, w4ke, that won the last bracket. The results were all over the place because 8 were seeded and 9 weren't. The top unseeded player, Locus, is now a ranked player in BC and he carved through bracket. I didn't do too badly, beat Caleb(Ike/Doc), lost to Ballos(Ike), who learned the matchup after an SD in Game 1, beat Dex(ZSS) in losers, but fell to breh(Yoshi/Sheik) in losers. I might've been able to squeeze out an extra win had the seeding not contained a pool of sharks, but what can ya do. We also did doubles and I finished 3rd with a Maylay guy named XeroGravity(Jiggs/Marth)

http://challonge.com/ja5ygvhc (3rd out of 9, 3-2 in bracket, won a ranking match)
3rd bracket was on September 4. Big moment for me, as I finished in the money on this bracket. Granted, I only won back my entry fee, but it was still a positive experience. I beat Markus(Falco/Link) before bracket started, as I called him out for a ranking match because I rightly felt he shouldn't have been ranked above me, I had a better win-loss record and beat him in the 1st bracket. I then beat Ballos (Ike) in a rematch from last bracket, as I got in practise on Anther's Ladder that helped me turn the tables on his Ike. w4ke seemed like he was the local ace at this point, and I took Game 1 from his Falcon before he went to his main Roy and won Games 2 and 3. I beat Markus again, then beat breh (Yoshi/Sheik), in another revenge match, then lost 3-1 to Candy Chicken, who switched his main to Fox and pretty much bodied me with Reflector/Dash upsmash.

http://challonge.com/nd77ulm7 (9th out of 19, 1-2 in bracket, won a ranking match)
4th bracket was on September 18. This was a wretched event for me, I was off form going into this, got a bad draw, and was lucky to finish with an even record. I beat Nhat(Falcon) first round, then lost to Shaft(Diddy Kong), who was one of the founding members of our regional group apparently. I almost beat him with windbox jank but he mostly outplayed me and would've been unlucky to lose. I then faced Broloom in losers, who was a friend of the high school crew. He beat me Game 1 with Lucina, gave me a charity game with Toon Link in Game 2, and then went back to Lucina and won Game 3 easy. I faced his doubles partner Purple in a match to get him on the regional rankings, and I barely beat his Ganon in Game 1, lost the ditto in Game 2, and at this point I thought I was basically ****ed, as I'm horrible in the ditto and eat seemingly every projectile. Luckily he went back to Ganon for some bizarre reason and lost Game 3. To top it off I had an awful showing in doubles as my partner used Game and Watch and Judge 9ed a balloon on Town and City while losing almost every stock to bizarre SDs and leaving me to carry the load with a 2 or 3 stock deficit.

http://challonge.com/712748qk (4th out of 16, 4-2 in bracket)
5th bracket was October 16. Finally, in this tournament, everything clicked. I beat Carter(Falcon/Mario), the younger brother of my new doubles partner in a tense 2-0 set, before losing to Pink(ZSS/Falcon), a top ranker from Saskatoon whos arguably the best player in Saskatchewan right now. But then the big run through loser's bracket came, as I took out QWEXE(Mii Brawler/Jiggs) in a comedy set where we gentlemanned to Super Mario Maker in Game 2. I then beat breh after he choked bigtime with ROB, blowing a big percent lead after dominating the neutral the entire match and letting me kill him with my standard jab/jab/upsmash, and choked even worse with Yoshi in Game 2. I then avenged another loss, this time to Broloom, as I beat his Lucas game 1, lost to his Lucina and Halberd(mostly the Halberd) in Game 2, then crushed him in Game 3 to take the set. I then got a rematch with Pink, and I took out his ZSS and Falcon with some spirited play in Game 1 and 2. Unfortunately, he went for the surprise pocket counterpick by using Pikachu to win Games 3 4 and 5. Game 5 was a heartbreaker, as we were both over 100% on last stock but I roll getupped off the ledge right into an fsmash while he was behind the bush in Duck Hunt. I was mostly happy though, as I got wins to move up the ranking list. In doubles I formed a team with a Lucario main named Duncathan called "Dank n' Jank", and we're solidly the number 2 team in the city.

At some point soon, once holiday obligations and venue issues are solved, I will be in the thick of things at a regional. My current goal is to finish in the money at the next local, whenever that may be, and I'm on my way to achieving it, as I can go 30-70 with w4ke in serious spars and took a couple games off Locus, whos doing people dirty in Vancouver apparently. My other goal is to win a match or two at a regional with 30-40 people, and I think I could be on my way there. I've had some encouraging results on Anther's Ladder, and I'm also sparring a lot with an online gaming crew I'm affiliated with called the Syndicate Gaming Network, who've helped me learn a lot of matchups. Hopefully, I can pick up a few tricks here and elsewhere that enable me to take the next step forward.

EDIT: Heres our awesome regional ranking system, I'm at #24: http://pr.zenja.ca/wiiu/ratings

Even bigger turnout this time, so again it felt like a regional. I got a tougher bracket this time around losing to FX| Sethlon's
:4feroy: 2-0 fourth round and then to OS| Kirbykid's :4mario:2-0 sixth round. I feel I played better overall this time, but I learned that I struggle with staying mobile. Time to return to the lab.

The match with Sethlon was streamed so I'll post the video of it in the proper thread when TLoc uploads it to youtube.

But yo, @Hyrule Hero got 3rd as :4link:.

Got 4th/71 at Orbitar, local in Seattle: http://challonge.com/Orbitar4

It was fun to see that I only suck because my region is so strong, did pretty well OoR XD. Only got 4th because of complete lack of MU knowledge vs metaknight, died half the time by dropping shield to dimensional cape just because I literally forgot about the move. Whoops...

Somehow I did the loser's run that I was born for. The last tourney I went to I lasted 3 rounds, I think I've leveled up a bit. I took down a couple PR'd players. Hoping I'm heading towards being a top Midwest link!

Olympus eSports SC Championship Bracket - Singles

This was the invitational championship bracket for the state of SC; points were awarded based on placings for tourney results the previous PR season and the top 16 players were entered. Winner got a full sponsorship to this upcoming Evo. Did well enough that I'll be PR'd when they release the next list.

Just for fun :troll: Only used secondaries this tourney because I have literally gone Link every single tourney match up until this one and just wanted to have some fun :awesome: This was the regular bracket that occurred after the Championship bracket. Entered as FG | Scrubbles, because I am a For Glory scrub.

Cat :4link:/:4metaknight:/:4robinf:
1st out of 43
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/41820028/SBT5 - Smash4 Singles Results.png

Went Robin in winners because I felt like it and I wanted to mostly focus on Melee at this event, but then I lost and changed my mind so I turned my gameface back on, eventually riding the Cat train through losers and stomping on GFs with a solid 3-0 3-0 of which 5 games were 2stocks.
Went all Link since the loss except for 1 set, where I used MK.

A few of my games were on stream, should you care to sift through them. Notably, I took Ryo to game 3 (he played secondaries, but w.e) and DewDaDash (top 5 PR from the area) to game 3. I used Link for almost all of it, save for 1 game against :4cloud:, 1 game against :4sheik:(and a subsequent one against :4diddy: when he counterpicked me, where I went Link after), and 1 game against :4zelda:.

Btw, what region are you from out of curiosity? Also, based on the bracket, you're EHX?

No I'm Tsage and Natmax, EHX got 5th...could someone fix that actually? Sorry for the confusion, my tag is Tsage but I made my smashboards account before I made that tag, It'd be great if all the Natmax's could be changed to Tsage, I'll remember in the future to write in my posts that that is my tag, sorry. Also I'm from New England Z ZSaberLink , land of the recently famed Marss and Pugwest.

Nothing but :4link:. Fought a :4sonic: round 1, but the last time I fought a Sonic in bracket was at Paragon, so my knowledge on the Sonic matchup had completely vanished at that point so I lost that, so I had to make a losers run to get that placing. Fought a :4zelda:, which was free af, then fought two:4fox:'s in a row, a :4diddy:, then a :4falcon:/:4littlemac:, and then a :4villager:. All of these were 2-0 for me besides the second Fox I fought which was 2-1. Finally :4sheik: took me out 0-2 and put me in 9th. Sheik is so dumb. There's basically no good Sheiks in my local area at Oregon/SW Washington surprisingly enough so that didn't help. It was still fun though and I'm satisfied with my placing.

Btw, Shinkou (the Sheik you lost to) is really good from what I've seen of him. He was one of the few people I saw to even take a stock off of Zero back in Northwest Drop Zone last year.

B-Cash :link: (4th out of 10, 5 wins 4 losses) (Location: Saskatchewan, Canada)
http://challonge.com/oclzk58y/standings

This was a round robin bracket that was meant to narrow down participants for a regional crew battle that will go on our regional ranking system. I had, as the British would put it, two absolute shockers against duncathan :lucario: and Candy Chicken :fox: I won Game 1 both times, lost close Game 2s that I could've easily won had I not choked key inputs, then had awful Game 3s that weren't close. I did get an upset win over breh :4cloud: / :rob: and a win over my mentor CLIE, who had a rotten tournament but is a decent local-level player overall across 5 smash games.

Overall, could've done better, could've done worse. I would've gotten 3rd if I had won those two awful games, but I got a positive win-loss record that boosts my potential seeding for next week's regional a bit. We're still not sure on if there will be round robin pools to seed a pro and amateur cutoff bracket(top 16 go to Pro rest to Amateur), but I think I'll be able to achieve my first big goal of winning one set at a regional with ease. 4-5 wins with pools + bracket shouldn't be out of the question unless I get a lopsided draw and have to face every good player coming over from Edmonton (who won't be ranked here).

I might have vids up, if I can find a video where I don't spaghetti three quarters of my inputs.

Got knocked to losers immediately but made a decent losers run back. Lost in the end to a Bowser/Sheik but got it to a last stock Game 3 last hit situation. Probably should have went Mac that 3rd game, oh well.

Happy to post probably my best tournament result yet: 17/162
Tournament was pretty weird for me. A top player was thrown into my pool last second ontop of the other players and put as last seed, so I ended up losing to second seed game 1, then having to play 1st seed first round in losers. Long-story short I managed to make a huge losers run, as well as 2/0-ing our second best sonic which I was really happy about (been working hard to learn the MU)
