Has anyone seen Deva, Legan, Arkive, or Kirin lately?
We've heard from Blubba and Izaw, so I wonder how the other top brawl Links are. (AeroLink has been maining Palutena for the most part thus far)

Arkive and Afrotwist posted in Blubba's It's Freakin Link thread. ArdeS posts . Kirin usually doesn't get involved with the online community so IDK what he's doing. Decoy is Costlow and Blu is Onomanic. Red Ryu is probably focusing on Lucario again. Mr.R rarely posts but he's used (Brawl) Link on the side in MMs. IDK about Legan, Deva, Lootic or WaffleZ. I'd like to see LordXavior return too.

Thanks Rizen, I've seen plenty from Scizor, and some of the incumbent Japanese Links are on the rise as well. I'm actually surprised to hear Arkive_Zero was around not too long ago. Now we just need Sasook, Garm, Waffz, and ShinTwist to return and la familia is back with a vengeance. (Say, I thought Xavier was a regular, did he just stop posting for a while?) We do tend to have a large lurker population. Keitaro seems to have a pretty cute Link too.

Good to see all the fresh faces too.
Come November 21st, If replays work in a similar manner as before, I will totally take requests for uploads on My youtube channel.

Still unlocking characters slowly, but still enjoying myself. Beginning to slowly get the hang of Link. I see some potential. I just feel like using his fox trot to move around instead of the usually running would be a great help to his game.

I'm willing to bet that most of the big names won't be too vocal until the Wii U version comes out. I'm just too cheap to get the Wii U version, so I'll be that guy syncing up my 3DS at Wii U tourneys. lol

I really hope that those other guys you mentioned show up though. They really helped push Link's metagame in Brawl.

Am pretty sure Link is gonna be low tier again. The japanese list seems accurate as far as his ranking is concerned. He is about as good as he was in Melee in this game, don't get me wrong. However, just about every character has been buffed, his smashes are all heavily telegraphed and he has a tough time against speedy characters. Like always, we Link mains have the use the most work and creativity to prevail.

Believe it or not, I actually got good with my classic controller pro. I used to have a GC controller, but my old Wii didn't support it, and as of now, my Wii U doesn't either (I'm mostly a PM wifi warrior now, I need to meet more PM Smashers offline). When I do get a new GC controller with the Wii U version, I'll probably need to re-adapt since it's obviously the better option, though I'll be forced to stay in my living room to play if I want to use it. It's in my best interest if I want to play at my best anyways.

Link is anything but low tier in this game and he's miles better than his Melee self. His speed and mobility in the air and ground have been buffed exponentially. His Dsmash is amazing, his Fsmash kills super early, Usmash is a great anti air/kill move, his Fair, Nair and Bair are extremely fast and have little landing lag, Uair is a kill move, Dair has a meteor smash, projectiles, especially his bombs, are amazing. I can go on forever about how many huge buffs and new tools he's gotten and I'm not even getting started on custom moves. I suggest you ignore any tier lists right now, because they're far from accurate as of now.

I'm STILL continuing to get the reaction "Whoa, Link's so good!" in Twitch. If that's not proof he raised up in the tier I'm not sure what else is. Then again, he is significantly better than his Brawl counterpart which could play a big part in every one's shock.

So far, the most used characters I've seen on Twitch are:

Dark Pit

Might be more that I'm forgetting about but those characters seem to be very popular.

Oh yeah, he feels so much better than he did in brawl. I actually feel like I have a chance again. Although, admittedly, I'm not very good online. I still have trouble compensating for the lag...

If this turns out being true...I may actually be okay with it. Surprising people with what you can do with Link is something that I live for. Plus, it helps nullify the sting when I lose to high-tier characters and multiplies the satisfaction of winning against them, so there's that.

I don't care if Link is high mid of low tier. To me he will always be god tier. Again to me he will be god tier. And when you play Link and you beat a high tier main like I mostly do it feels very good! Us Link mains don't care about the Tier List! We just Love link and he will be in our heart forever!

We all hang out in a fb group we have and now a skype chat in lieu of the xat. They're all mostly waiting for the Wii U version, so they should all come back in force on the 21st.

You're literally twice my age. That would definitely be pretty weird lol. And sweet man. I've actually heard of a lot of these guys and have seen them play. I'm definitely all for playing them online. Especially with voice chat on the Wii U version (hype). Is it possible for me to join that FB group? I actually don't have a skype nor anything to use skpe with other than maybe my galaxy tab.

If you've played against them, I can assume you're pretty high level. What did you think of my Link judging from what we've played? I don't really remember much other than that there was a lot of lag.
