That's not really it: Europeans are more conservative with stages and customs and more aggressive in play (no MK ban was ever necessary either..) but I wouldn't say European play is ineffective in the USA.

Guys, just watch Izaw against J.Miller. That's a fine set, and Izaw as he actually is playing against a reputable player, and doing well. The only problem I have with him is the hero-worship of his followers, who make it necessary for us to degrade a man who does not entirely deserve it. Such is the cult of personality..

He just had all these videos against bad players while doing insanely flashy Sonic tech (because Sonic is way past cool) that served very little practically.

For whatever god forsaken reason, it generated all this hype around our character from people who knew nothing about how he worked and they'd be like "Hey, have you guys heard of RATS? You all should play more like him."

It was mildly infuriating, to say the least.

So, I am extremely hyped because I'm getting my custom gcc modded controller today. I had one made in order to use it at the tournament. It's so damn pretty.

I wish the buttons could have been painted as well, but the guy told me it would be impractical and dangerous (it could ruin the buttons). Still, it's gorgeous.

The only thing I did with my controller was swap out the back of my black Smash controller with a platinum one… It matches the Smash decal. Simple, clean, and helps me identify my controller out of the millions of Smash controllers, lol.

You know what's the best part? All in all this costed us 50 bucks. 20 for the control and 30 for the modding. Not that expensive right?

Just curious, what would you guys say the Link/WFT MU is?
IMO WFT can juggle Link pretty well with Nair (iirc) and has decent weight and kill power. Link can wall her though. Maybe 0 even? It's hard to kill her without jab 1 cancels now.

Nah, more like a +1. We edgeguard her pretty well, Hylian shield makes her forced approaches useless, and like you said, we just wall her out honestly, it's the one matchup where we actually have better projectiles than the other player. lol
We kinda just crap on her in neutral, really.

Huh. I was going to mod my own but I doubt I'll be able to do it under for 30 bucks since I'd have to get supplies/make mistakes.

Just a paint job. I didn't want to mess with anything else just on case. I didn't want to end with a cool but useless controller.
