Quite frankly I'm pretty annoyed that the new mafia game already has nearly as many posts as this one does despite the fact that it only started yesterday.

I'm slowly beginning to enter the "**** it just vote for whoever posts the least" mode.

I'm not too busy, it was an act. However, I do have a job and 7 college classes if I'm not posting every day it's pretty much because of that. I'm starting to get annoyed with you btw. Just saying. Voting for someone only because they don't have a large presence within game isn't a viable option for finding scum. In any game tbh. You're really taking a shot in the dark and basically leaving all chance of actually hitting scum on probability.

If you look at the math:

8 begin, PA dies, 7 now.

6 VT, 1 S

it would take just kira and another person to be alive for him to win. Therefore we can only incorrectly ID 6 people throughout the game. We've already used one of them. So right now we are looking at a 1 in 7 chance that you actually hit kira. (That's about 14%) The next mis-ID you have, the number of allowed goes down to 4 and your chances go up to 1 in 6. (~17%) Even if we were to get to the last possible ID without hitting kira, it would only have a 1 in 3 chance of hitting kira based on nothing. (33%) SO if you go around ID-ing people without decent reasoning, you're killing town. Albeit slowly, however, still killing.

Here's actually what I want you to do.
1. Read through the game again, look at other people.
2.Start questioning others, I'm not the only one in this game who's looking scummy and I shouldn't be the only one being questioned for it.
3. Expand your horizons and try to actually get other scum reads.
4. Explain to me why you think me "avoiding" the PA wagon to be scummy.
5. Stop bugging me about my schedule. I will post when I have free time. Deal with it.

My #362 actually had nothing to do with hunting Kira; it was simply about playing this game. I signed up to play mafia because quite frankly I find it fun, and not many people in here are making an honest attempt to move the game forward with discussion and/or votes.

In fact your response just reinforces my point; once again the only time you bother posting anything of substance is when someone prods you. If that's what I have to do to keep you in particular invested in the game then that's what I'll continue to do.

Huh? I've been questioning other people as well throughout the game. Not sure where you're getting the idea of me only questioning you from. And FYI just because I grill you the most it doesn't mean there isn't anyone else on my Kira radar. Dabuz made it clear why it's probably a bad idea to tell everyone what all of your reads are.

TBH, if you want a a real mafia game you should join one in the signup thread. A game with no deadline tends to stagnate.

Definitely will once this game is over... I fear joining another game will cause the amount of investment I have in this game to falter.

Honestly I have no idea what to think of it since the only reason I even put a vote on him in the first place was due to his inactivity.

But what I do find interesting is that Kira didn't even bother waiting to see if we would put PA on the lie detector; he went straight for the kill once he name claimed despite the fact that he was already at L-1 (assuming he waited until he was put at L-1 to attack him... for all we know he could have made the attack as soon as PA name claimed). Overall it was an aggressive play and shows that Kira is willing to take risks. Keep in mind there was no guarantee for him that PA was truthful with his name claim. It makes me wonder if Kira attempted to kill you as well Gheb (assuming you aren't Kira of course).

There are 6 players left: 3 voted for Phazon and 3 did not. Common sense tells me that Kira would more likely come from the group that did not vote for Phazon because why would he bother putting a vote on him if he was just going to attack him anyway? The safest play for Kira would have been to put a vote on him as a means of hoping we would eventually ID him so he wouldn't need to risk wasting one of his attacks. Kira's attack on PA showed that he clearly didn't care about votes; he just wanted the kill. Plus without voting for PA it would allow him to avoid the spotlight by refusing to sheep, which means it would probably be the most advantageous play in this scenario to not vote for him.

So with that being said here's the 3 players that didn't vote for PA: Gheb, Hando, and Badwolf... And now that I'm looking at those names I find it very interesting that my top 2 scum reads are within that group.

If I had an idea, I'd be able to play the game for real. All I can go off of is how you guys say Kira would play, and make sure it makes sense and that you guys follow it.

I already covered that option.

Let me put it this way... When PA name claimed he already had 1 vote on him (by me), so Kira had 2 options for his mode of attack:
a) Simply go straight for the attack on PA without putting a vote on him as a means of avoiding the spotlight
b) Go for the attack WHILE putting a vote on PA

Pretend you're Kira for a moment. Which option seems more safe to you? Pretty sure most here would agree that the answer would be option a. If Kira wanted to kill PA without putting him on the lie detector then there's very little reason to put a vote on him in the first place and risk raising suspicion.

So instead of focusing on the people who voted for PA (Dabuz and BSL) I instead focused on the group of people that didn't vote for him (Gheb, you, and Hando).

Of course I COULD be wrong like everyone else here, but I'm not looking for undeniable truths here; I'm instead going for the MOST LIKELY scenario based on what I know. And based on the reaction to PA's name claim I have a better gut feeling that Kira is among the Hando/Badwolf/Gheb group as opposed to the Dabuz/BSL group.

I'm honestly not even sure how we're gonna get someone on the lie detector unless if group of people can act as a cohesive unit for once.

The reason being is that if everyone puts a vote on someone for their own personal reasons the last person who puts the hammer down is going to look suspicious as hell if the ID'd person flips town (since Kira's main goal is to just get someone on the lie detector).
