Type O Negative is awesome.

I've been listening to them since Peter Steele died a couple weeks back :( October Rust and World Coming Down are my favorite albums, though I haven't listened to Dead Again yet (which I am going to today).

I've also been listening to Boris' discography and whatever bands Michael Gira touches. Swans are one of my favorite bands of all time.

Ive been thinking about it.

An if you go to a well sized party.

Ages 20-25(18-19 if they got older friends)

IF you would really want to just jump start the "hypeness"...

Play some Uncle Luke 2 Live Crew, such as

Me So Horny, Hoochie Mama, or Face down *** up...

Just get that party shakin' good... Idk why, Its not great music. Its more situational an I guess im cravin a large party environment. Haven't been to one of those in the longest!

Ooooooooooooooh, let's do talk pwease :3

Well, this year, Plastic Beach was wonderful, but Demon Days is still perfection. Some real classic gems on that though, White Flag and Sweepstakes namely.
Comogrammer is easily one of the years best, AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD THE REAL THING YET, just a fake leak put out with the tracks missing quite a bit of material. And from the same label, comes another top best of the year, Daedelus's Righteous Fist Of Harmony.
Then there's Beach House's Teen Dream, another fantastic album, truly. Wonderfully relaxing, catchy music.
**** don't stop there either, with a new Tobbacco, Portishead, PJ Harvey, Aphex Twin (we wish, he'll probably delay it again), and many others swinging their albums this year. All in all, this looks like a great year in music so far.

As a side note, Venetian Snares is a gift from god.

Based on what I know of you Rave, you'd most enjoy her album Is This Desire? Its infuses her grittiness with electronic music.

Rid OF Me is a frightengly powerful, bitter, fierce album. It makes my **** shrink up she's so fierce.

Thanks Crash. My two favorite genres are electronic and metal, but I really enjoy nearly all kinds of music, with one exception: reggaeton (maybe add modern country too >_>).

</Dead Again>

October Rust = World Coming Down > Life is Killing Me = Dead Again > Bloody Kisses > Slow, Deep and Hard > The Origin of the Feces

Ya Boris is cool, I assume you have the Boris and Sunn collab? Do you have the newish 7" Japanese Heavy Rock Hits?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKzvZtIPhkU 8 is so good, Also Crash check my Last.fm. I've seen Animal Collective and St.Vincent and Mono live. (AC only played Strawberry Jam though) I was looking forward to - WALKING DOWN THE STREET, JUST LIKE MY FATHER WAS, but it didn't happen.

You would probably like Toro y Moi

Also Tetsuo and Kaneda are such good songs.

PS Try World's End Girlfriend too. I would start with Dreams End Come True. Also get Palmless Prayer, the collab with them and Mono.

PPS Get the Octopus Project and Black Moth Super Rainbow collab if you don't already have it

I have Altar on CD. I haven't listened to their new 7" vinyls yet.

I like World's End Girlfriend from what I've listened to, which is limited to only a couple albums.

Toro y Moi is cool, I personally really like a lot of the new so-called "chillwave" artists.

Since we're bringing up Last.fm, here's mine:

http://www.last.fm/user/MasterRaven

Though keep in mind I've restarted it relatively recently due to having a lot of songs played on my last session that I actually did not listen to (ie songs playing while I'm not actually there to listen to them) to the point where it really skewered what my actual charts should be, so I rebooted.

Only Feels. The rest is ****. That **** Panda Bear is a ****ty singer, and comes up with lame **** on the synth. The other singers got a good voice, and their guitar player was interesting somewhat, for a guitar I guess.

I took a year off mine, so its kind of out of date, but its getting back to normal.

it's all feels.
if you are the type of person who holds onto a definition of any sort for the term "music" then you will probably not appreciate it.

although i do not dig animal collective alot, i do like some of the projects they inspire.

laterly i have been listening to Ariel Pink, Baths, Pictureplane, Volcano Choir to name a few.

but what good does simply namedropping bands do?

we should really expand on the topic of actual music itself.
unless you just want to name drop bands so peole can look at your post and be lik "whoa i dont know the name of that band. this guy must listen to cool music."

edit: yeah, i like chillwave too.
but i am more adimant about my love for lofi of all sorts.
but electronic isnt bad.
if i learned anything about music this year, it was that.

Gorillaz live, just click play and it should start from the begining. They cut out quite a deal, probably because they want you to buy the DVD, but never the less, there it is.

Features Snoop Dog, De La Soul, Super Furry Animals, Little Dragon, Hypnotic Brass Ensamble, bass player from The Clash, Serian National Orchestra, Mos Def and Bobby Womack.
