<p align="left">I know for some of you it sucks that Brawl was delayed, but let’s not forget about all the hard work Sakurai is putting into the game. Sakurai is doing what he previously wasn’t able to do with Melee and considering the budget, staff and time Sakurai had, this game will no doubt be phenomenal. We still have another 50 updates to go until Brawl falls into the hands of the U.S. public and even then you can bet that those over in Japan will be spilling the beans for those who want to hear it. I just want you guys to keep perspective and remember that we are almost there.</p>

Yep. I really couldn't see the game being released without a Japanese date first, though.

But all I can do now is laugh in the face of you Americans (or NTSCers, at least). But once you've got over today (and the update) then you can laugh straight back at this poor PAL guy.

Yep. Also remember that this delay time is for putting in completely new features, so it'll be worth it in the end.

What won't be worth it, however, is the 3 month delay between the NTSC and PAL releases.

Considering what this COULD'VE delayed to, we should be grateful that there's only a two month gap. Yes it sucks we Americans could've had it today, but it'll be better by the time Feb 10th comes around.

Besides on a personal note, i have finals this week and next week, like a lot of other people do. i'd either have to hold off on playing (which would be nigh impossible), or i'd fail, and either one is not particularly appealing.

If Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out today I would currently be waiting in line at a local GameStop.

In a line that goes around the courner and down the block. I would be watching videos of gameplay footage on my itouch wile my friends wait impaciently.

After a few more hours they open the doors and the line starts moving. It's not long after that I finaly reach the conter and buy a copy of the game for myself. As soon as my friends and Ileave the store we make a mad dash back home to play our games.

The next day is pure epicness. (If thats even a real word.)

I just can't see lines for Brawl. it just seems weird! I can imagine like a few people, but not a line. But hey, I could definitely be wrong.

But yeah... 68 days tacked unto the initial date was pretty effed up. I had my "game plan" (lol. That was literal.) set up, too, like all of you college students. Get brawl, have a month to do nothing but play Brawl, and then the next semester starts.

But hey... at least we get it on a Sunday, now.

Wow... could have been today... But common, lets rejoice at all the things that will makes Brawl near-Perfect.

About the lack of characters update, I wanted to put my opinion somewhere... If you exclude ZeroSuitSamus, we are currently at 22 characters. Take Sonic and Snake out, and you got 20. Pretty round number isnt it? So my opinion is that the 20 are starters, Sonic Snake are unlockable, and the rest will be unlockable wich explains the lack of character updates. Maybe they plan on revealing them only after the game launch... What do you think?

I already reserved one copy, so if it came out today, I'd play it as soon as i got out of school, and would be playing it all night

For a while i was worried since Brawl would have been released today and have have finals and way too much homework. If it had come out.. i would possible have failed a number of classes... little exageration.. but you get what i mean.

Now when it comes out.. it will be near the beginning of the semester when grades don't matter as much.. YES...hopefully with a ton of awesome features that were added over the delay.

yes, today was a really sad day for me too. It was really a crappy day and i couldnt stop thinking about smashing online because of the friends list update (which i think was a nice update). But even though i want the game now it is kind of good that it didnt come out today....i have sooooooo much flipping schoolwork its insane! come on come on!!!! i cant wait for these 68 days to end!

This delay has given me more time to plan my attack on the nearest video game store. *Pulls out blueprints*. And I suddenly realised just now that I need more time to save money for a Wii anyway.

This delay was good for me after all!
