good match. now that i watch it again it's easier to see how you keep up with nike's shenanigans. i've really gotta come have another training day with you in beaumont bro.

only thing is that he reads your ledge hops really well since you always do airdodge>buffered something

post your 4 most recent matches, that should be more than enough to give you some tips on

@koolaid

if he had gone aggro you would have lost. pit can compete fine with a campy MK. it's the ones who actually abuse his nado, range and shuttle loop that are the threats. if he had played the MU correctly you probably wouldn't have done as well if you played the way you did in this one. against an experianced MK, yo seriously need to run away the entire match, and if you run out room onstage, you go under it to get away from him. arrows and the occasional read for a stronger attack are your only options in this MU. mirror shield his shuttle loop and nado when you can. also beware that a good MK uses his dair and nado to severely limit our uair planking, so do more arrow planking to make up for that.

I think Maraba is right about how Bloodcross isn't abusing MK's best moves vs Pit(Nado, shuttle loop, dair)

Some good things I noticed is that your Pit is pretty precise so your not using unnecessary moves, you seem to have good control of Pit, and you KO @ decent %s

The rest of your habits are pretty general, like in the begginning of the match, you were using full hop, and idk if that's a safe thing vs MK because he can advance w/ nado/setup, but since you weren't punished idk. Maybe shorthop baits? Also, when you jump, idk what control setup you are using, but you move very linear if that makes sense? Like when you jump, you jump straight up. When you move, it's controlled. I don't think that's a bad thing, it's just something I noticed.

@3.12--when you did that arrow jump bait, you could have killed w/ a bair :reverse:

Also another thing I noticed even from your old videos; you don't seem very good on the ledge. Maybe practice arrowing from the ledge, upair, fair/bair, and the like? That's all you need really. Seems like your Pit just needs a little more practice(ATs, control, speed) but you are a very smart player Koolaid, so keep it up.

You did really great to not get gimped offstage, you even stage spiked him while trying to recover.

One point where you were a stock down you seemed to fish for the kill and you kept trying to hit him as he hit you. After your invincibilty wears off you should be on the defensive and shield more until he does something laggy like DB because Marty can combo.

Also make sure vs Marth that he is at least a mile away before you pivot arrow because he can get in your face real fast.

Marth vs Pit you'll spend like 1/3rd of your time on the edge. Uptilt clashes with Jab, ftilt, Dtilt and sometimes marths f-smash. Up-smash is really good vs Marth. Always be about half an fd length away from him before you pivot arrow. Best stages vs Marth are Stages where he cannot platform camp from arrows, meaning FD, and to some extent SV, Ban BF vs him unless you're comfortable with being on the edge 5 minutes. If you think he's gonna Short hop double fair, Power shield the first hit then uptilt if he goes in. If you can't PS it, shield it, drop shield crouch, either dtilt, down b, or shield.

There aren't any tournaments I'm going to be able to attend for like a month and a half or more, but I'd like to get some videos to review, what would you guys recommend? Should I just randomly MM someone? Should I go for someone that will be close to me, or someone who will curbstomp me?

he doesn't usually sd like he did in the first game, but he is also very campy, so when playing a character like falco or pit, he doesn't really know how to be aggressive, thus making my life much easier. however against other characters that he can camp, he does very well

I think I saw that tag at Ktar5, I didn't talk to him though, he's pretty much new to offline I think.

The problem with that combo is that the ftilt didn't even lock, and Nairo probably DI'd down or something during the fsmash to make him hit the ground. It was all random because a fsmash at low percent hardly ever makes people hit the ground.

that's what i thought but i figured if it does then maybe a sh fair could follow up if the ftilt lock didn't work. but also i never see people hit the ground at 3% from fsmash either. i guess it was a coincidence combo

oh **** LUCKAY. i think i know why fsmash knocked nairo onto the ground. it's the same concept as MYSTIC WRATH. the arrow knocks them into the air just long enough for the fsmash to hit them when they are falling to the ground. and i never do fsmash out of pivot arrow, i always grab or dash attack or dsmash. then nairo could have fallen to the ground since it was a combo started at 0% with MK in the air from the arrow.

or i could be tipsy

Any tips on how to DI properly with Pit?
I've looked everywhere trying to find a thread or something. No luck....
