Balanced Brawl hasn't been updated in years and so it's balance is out of wack (like Olimar was boosted in BBrawl so he would be super OP in the current meta).

Finally Mobile, AL is hosting an event again. I'm so pumped because I remember having so much fun at the last one... as well as getting 3 stocked 3 times in under 6 minutes (under 2 minutes per game). But this will be one of the few times I'm going to tourny as a player. This will also be a first playing competitively for P:M. Gonna main Link the whole time and get my practice in. I hope I do well. Can't wait for March 1st!

Oh! I was going to mention that it would be best to not just rip footage from YT, that it's probably best to just get the actual file we uploaded and use that. I don't know a lot about editing though

EDIT: TIL what TIL means and that watching replays of team matches of vBrawl using P:M is absolutely hysterical

Also, that I might be a little bit of a hypocrite on this "not using YT footage" thing because my old computer crashed and I lost the files for 90% of my Brawl matches. So we will seeeee

I'd prefer nice, raw replay files so I can get clips in HD when I record them/people I know record them
Keeping replays from all over would be a hassle though ... but I've been collecting clips that I think are alright for some time now though

Diddy's broken but he's still not the most broken in Brawl, lol. He's either 3rd or 4th after MK, ICs and maybe Oli.

Link has a decent MU vs Diddy for a low tier (<-important context here). Link's spam is a good anti-banana tactic because Link can often, at worst, trade hits with Diddy's camping and avoid the chains. Link's bombs can be thrown strait through banana forward throws and bombs cover landing and get Link off the ground. They make platform camping a good anti-banana tactic too. Diddy's main advantage on Link isn't bananas but simply out-classing Link in speed and recoveries. IMO it's a soft -2 or -1.5 for Link.

I can start moving my stuff on Thursday. I was worried I'd have to rent a storage shed, move my stuff there then move it all again. I'll be glad when this is over and I have my computer set up. This computer sucks and the keyboard is weird and smaller than I like.

Diddy isn't too bad for Link. There are much worse top tier MUs that Link has to worry about. Soft -2 sounds about right. Link can keep up with Diddy.

There are a lot of new characters that I really want to play. Megaman, Little Mac.... they're all gonna steal time away from my Link! I think I'll probably end up co-maining Link and Megaman. Now if only they had Megaman X in the new Smash.....

Well, when you save a replay on your SD card, Brawl saves it as a .bin file
This .bin file is basically a set of instructions for inputs during gameplay. What the Brawl replay manager does when replaying is in fact, actually replays a single game with the instruction on the .bin file (the .bin file being the replay)

If you transfer .bin files and place them in the proper directory within the new SD card, you can replay the same replay over different Wiis

I plan to transfer these .bin files to my computer, where I will emulate them on Dolphin and record the replays in HD (which is better than the conventional capture card)

Erm, if you want replays that are over 3 minutes, you'll need to run a certain code through Gecko
If you don't know what that is, just spam somewhere lol

People in CO are bad***es. The hike had about a mile to a mile and a half of 45+ degree climbing at the start. A woman with grey hair passed me when I took pictures and I never did catch up with her, lol. I stopped a lot for photos.

@ Rizen I'm here...In my dorm room...Studying...With no Smash. I can still keep my fingers warm with my controller in the drawer, but so far I haven't gotten the chance to play anyone on-campus.

When I went to my friend's house the other weekend to play Wi-Fi with my friend back in my hometown, he demolished me (and I usually beat him with 3/4-stocks.) So much rust. D:
