Well the thing this you won't know how tough a player is in a taunt party until you engage them. You can get an idea based on what they do. Though sometimes they can do neat tricks but still not be a tough opponent. If your playing at night you will encounter more better players.

Where have the good players gone?

Theres better people during the night, more people willing to fight.
At least this was the case until the past week. For the life of me, I barely get any itemless matches even at night in the last week. Fortunately I have had other things to do during the holidays.

Aha, I can vouch for this. I do this all the time.

The best way to find strong opponents is too wait patiently in a room with taunt partiers, playing there games until someone comes along to fight.

If your good enough, the taunters won't try and help you. Bugs the heck outta me when i'm having a nice one on one and some random dood jumps in and gets in my way. It really limits you if your trying to be nice and not swat civilian taunters.

Maybe all the good players went on holiday.. while nubs waste their summer on taunt parties....

it's so hard to spectate a match when everyone wants a full out FFA, a free kill and revenge kills that don't mean anything. Atleast when i get spectator mode, I will know where to go to a fight.
Anyway, GGs to the Zelda/Pikachu, Random?, And the Ganon. I just wasn't in the mood to play a person with a playstyle like that

Players can't find their jump button lately

In recent days, I have been seeing a slight trend of players who don't realize they have a jump button at all. Yes, wifi has been getting that bad lately. Picture a Kirby who gets knocked off and doesn't use any of his five jumps to recover! It's quite hilarious, yet pathetic at the same time. Eventually I got tired of it and started Ganonciding him as often as I could in Norfair. Fun. :-)

And in recent minutes, I have actually run into some Olimar(s), which is probably the rarest character I ever run into online. It's nice running into a character with a worse recovery than Ganon, so I enjoy the Ganon-Olimar matchup whenever I am lucky enough to get that. I just wish he didn't rage-quit Team Battle so soon....

Seeing more cowards that like to troll. The kind that jump in and get an easy KO when your fighting someone else and just avoid the rest of the match. If anyone sees these guys, focus on them. Its likely they aren't any good and are just scrubs. After a whipping, they'll either leave or stay and MAYBE leave you alone.

This is wrong. I always get the professional people trolling like this. I have to use my GnW, or my Pit to take these *****es down. Last night I had to handle 3 god damn professionals with items on, and brawl ball. It was a living nightmare. I have never been so worked up in my entire life of playing Brawl. I also never seen such epic combos. Rofl. Both for me, and them.

David, if you ever see a red PT, DESTROY them for me.

PTs are relatively rare too.

I hope to do so. Too bad I also do not see PTs very often. Did this one prefer a particular sub-character or use them evenly? I will keep my eyes peeled next time I happen to be on Basic Brawl, however limited my sessions may be this week.

I am also not a big fan of item-infested matches, and find those aggravating. Sometimes I'll just pick Wario / DDD / Kirby to eat up their items. I just wish it worked on every item, but it gets the job done. I also may pick the most annoying stages to nullify (or at least minimize) the effect of their items. Mushroomy Kingdom, Mario Bros., and Rumble Falls are good examples. Item abusers are among the first groups of taunters / teamers that I will disconnect after finishing them off.

Links/Toon Links in team battles are stupid, even in normal team battles, I just went to sudden death, and my own Link partner ended up killing me with a bomb(and the opponent was nowhere near me.

Point being, since I'm seeing this in MKW Wii too, are there more and more idiots playing online games?

Looool, I did that a few times when I was playing the game with a friend of mine. xD
Altough I was the one who wanted a team battle so badly.
That's so funny. x'DD
But annoying for your teammate.
And this was not online or something.
I never did it online, though, actually.. (I wouldn't dare to do that!)
I suppose that will seriously piss your teammate off, lol. xD
I mostly don't play team battles online.. I did it a few times, and a lot of times I ended up with a teammate who just did NOTHING to help. ¬¬''

Well.....it's not really useful to me....if I get into a taunt party or a TB with an idler, I just forcibly disconnect everyone., not team up and troll like a noob with nothing better to do other than team up on a good person or be an a** in TB.

Just leave the group if TB if you don't like any of the players or if you have a bad partner and fear getting teamed up again with them. Often times the other team won't give you much chance to troll your partner. Very slim they will.

If I'm on the opposite team in a room with an AFC person, I usually just go stand beside them and protect them while the other two fight.

If I am on the same team as the AFC person though.. Well I'm okay with a 2v1, but if they start taking stocks away from the other player I usually just dc the group. I figure if I just leave the group someone else will be stuck with the afc player.

I love going into team battles and being idle the whole time so the other person can lose! :)

New thing...in spectate, remember, people using the good characters will lose. I voted for a team of 2 MKs VS G&W and Ike, thinking the MKs would pwn, then at the end, the MKs lost -3 to 3
