which is exact reason why i hate D/P. They 'fixed' the game alright...sure did 'balance' things well. as i've used countless times as an example...
"Crabhammer is physical now!! Now Kingler can do almost decent damage! This boosts him up from bottom tier to bottom of low!"

they just ****ed everything up worse.
i just consider myself a retired veteran now. RB was boringly staple with the only advancements comeptitvely being tauros and slobro prolly.
i loooooooooooooved G/S soooo much. Yea, it was campy but so much was viable.
RS was what i played the most of (NB...alot), and it just turned into a big game of switching til someone could pull off a dragon dance or baton pass successfully :/
Yeah; that, along with many of the items (and Stealth Rock by itself...) made D/P pretty dumb.
I think Full Advance was the "best", although I remember GSC more fondly (I started around the time of the GSBots). Advance allowed for offense and defense to have the greatest balance, and also had a decent amount of room for using more than a few others that weren't stupidly popular.

I actually like the changes to the battle system that D/P/Pt implemented. It makes Pokemon like Weavile the threat it is now, seeing how Sneasel was a laughable Pokemon in prior generations. The only Pokemon I raised off the top of my head that really suffered from the generation swap was Sceptile. Alas, my poor Special Sceptile with Leaf Blade, Dragon Claw, Crunch, and ThunderPunch. Speaking of Slowbro, he's improved a LOT in the D/P/Pt swap thanks to Slack Off. Just in case you're ever on Jeopardy one day and they happen to ask you a Pokemon question, haha.
And Reflex...yeah, you're pretty much right, haha. OU Pokemon run amok in D/P/Pt for the most part. I try to have some of my favorite non-OUs put into my teams, but OUs still generally tend to perform the best. The only exceptions to this rule I can think of are double battles, where team combos are more essential than Pokemon's tier, and status-inducing teams, where merely annoying the stuffing out of you is the goal--most non-OUs seem to be blessed (or is it cursed?) at this. XD
What I will say sucks about this generation is the buff of Sandstorm. SS teams alone **** many other teams.

Tyranitar's ability: GIVE YOURSELF A SPECIAL DEFENSE BOOST. NEGATE YOUR OPPONENT'S LEFTOVERS HEAL.

Hail needs more of a boost than "Blizzard always hits." Maybe a Defense boost?
Also, I have a lot of little ideas that should have been implemented. Teleport for a switch that bypasses Mean Look, anyone? At the very least, it's better than "Has no effect."

I hated Crystal. Gold and Silver were ok. I hated the surfing though. Dumb lighthouse animal. Should have let you die. RS.... don't get me started how much that declined and how fast. D/P made up for that. Though Plat. I lost interest in already. I haven't beaten the E4 and I lost interest in it. Even though I have my new team. Imo it's way too easy.
I'll just level my pokemon up to beat the E4, once I have done that, I'm putting the game down.

I think you have your priorities mixed up. Crystal had the best in-game world, with Gold/Silver coming up just short. So much to do, with so many likable characters and scenes.

Yeah, Hail needs a serious boost. Plus there's just not enough Pokemon that can take advantage of it. With Sandstorm, you've got Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-types that abuse it along with the stray Cacturne. With Hail...yeahhhh, it's just Ice-types. Scary. /sarcasm
Bomber, you need to get to the Battle Frontier. I would be playing it more if I wasn't studying and playing Brawl. So far I've got the first symbol for all the areas except for the Battle Castle. I got crit'd three times in a row against the brain. XD
And just to emphasize how broke Tyranitar in SS is: My Golduck used Focus Blast after a boost from a Petaya Berry and still didn't kill it.

Heard about the G/S remake? It's coming out this fall in Japan, and probably next year for us. I'm excited. Gold and Silver were by far my favorites.

Clauses: Uber, Species, Sleep, Half-Item, OHKO, Evasion
6 Pokemon per team
-Matches are allowed to be stalled only for the condition if you have a scheduled Brawl match.
-Disconnections or Turnoff's will be a disqualification for the person who initiated it.
-If a match is ended due to an attack such as Self-Destruct, Explode, or Destiny Bond it will count as a loss for the person who initiated the attack.
-Mewtwo, Mew, Ho-oH, Lugia, Latios, Latias, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys (All Forms), Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkrai, Shaymin (All Forms) Arceus, Manaphy, Wobbuffet, Wynaut are considered ubers and are banned.
-You are allowed to switch out your pokemon in between sets.
-No hax Items

just 2 more short weeks. Exams will fly by starting monday and then that leaves one last week for me to get back up to my game in brawl with PT. I am getting anxious, new people to fight and there are going to be alot of good people there to fight. Not to mention I will probably make like 50 new friends from wherever.

Shaymin Sky Forme and Wynaut are also uber, and Latias is considered nonuber without Soul Dew now. Other than that, looks fine. I'm assuming we will be boosting to level 100, then?
And depending on how many entrants we get, we should either do pools first or do best-of-three each round in order to account for hax.
