so i've made a decision to truly try my hardest at brawl again after taking the long break that i have been on. between life and marvel and originally losing faith in brawl i was done for a long time. i still participated but didn't actually care until recently. i've been getting hard core training from sync, pj, asa akira, and trela and i am actually learning how to do more than plank. i can actually take games off of them nowadays and im getting better. i just want to ask you guys one thing.
if i start rebumping the things we never finished and if others start submitting actual vids and if i try to start advancing this characters metagame again, are you guys gonna try with me? i gave up last time because all my threads died, no one helped with true combos, stage discussions died immediately, MU discussions are a relic of the past, me and luckay were the last people to do anything in the ideas thread, no one, submits videos anymore, and my tutorials that i put time and effort into go unwatched and the broken tactics i made go unused. im not willing to go through trying online again if yall aren't, but if you guys are, if we still got that pit main pride somewhere in the congested bowls of our brawl hearts, ill take time out of my days to get back on the work wagon. if yall are down, say so. if not, please actually say you are not because i don't want to waste my time if no one wants to participate. it may start off slow because we all got life to deal with, but im down if yall are down

I see where this is going through just like some other character boards. With the inactivity and lack of motivation, almost no threads has been used from little to none except for socials, imo. I don't main pit, but I'll help as much as possible.
Also, I do suggest doing a doubles thread to evaluate each character that can strengthen the bond of teamwork by techniques and etc. If there's already one, coolio.

I will only gather more MU data if I do see some progress with this stuff (and if I am more appreciated). Remember I already did this routine in 2009-2010, and still have my old MU document with some old, but possibly still useful data, for such an occasion.

To add in. For each character, you should put in a stage pick and a counter pick. Pick stages and cgs that has the most possibility of advantages for your character. Just saying that since the pika boards would do that, I think.

It's easy, but I rather not spoil it since I'm JUST A WIFI PLAYER to you guys, and a used tool. I want to see progress first before I start going back to my research, and the TSC is my trademark!

Admiral, you don't seem to understand the complaint of you just being a wifi player.
It's FINE that all you do is play wifi, but some specific strategies DO NOT WORK AS WELL OFFLINE! Moves are less safe because you can start to punish things on reaction, and some combos do not work because you can see what the opponent is going for in real time. That does not mean offline players discredit everything wifi players say, but some things just aren't applicable in both mediums.

Already heard that a million times. I just hate being stereotyped (wifi-wise) and belittled, so I had to yell like that before someone already does so to me and repeats what I have just said. It's a repeated cycle.
I try to help sometimes, I get bashed for my wifi restriction, mainly by the mean jerks, I stop helping for some time, and then I come back wanting to help in a sense, because part of me still cares.
I consider it a curse that I regret having.

Well, I'll be by your side to report those jerks. If you're aware that some combos and strategies are different online and offline, and you can still give out possible things that may help, that'd be a good enough help.

I'm always up for advancing Pit's metagame. I don't think you understand how hard I work and dedicated I am so that I can become the best Pit main and a top player. I'll be sure to update the tournament result thread. And I have a couple theories, new things that I've been working on w/ Pit so I'm down.

Yeah Admiral, your whining about being "bashed" doesn't help anyone. The fact is you do play wifi and we play offline so some of the stuff you say may not work in our world. It's just how things are, we don't attack you for it, just lay out facts. If you care about Pit so much it shouldn't matter anyway because we all want the same goal overall, so either help or keep it down and let the real passionate Pits work.
The turnip catch thing isn't hard to do, turnips are just lighter than most items so if you do a backwards glide toss you can catch it before it falls on the ground and just do that back and forth. Only useful if Peach is on screen otherwise you wont get your hands on a turnip. I guess it could improve the peach matchup a bit.
Anyway I got some ideas I can make videos for or explain better in my ideas thread such as:
Footstool combos from 0 to 60/70%+ on several characters
ART usages and combos
Glide mindgames
Woi/mirror shield usages

I have an on-off relationship with this character. I keep picking him up and dropping him again for a while and now I'm picking him up I guess. Always cared about the character and his metagame though and I guess I'll help if there's anything needed from this scrubby old geezer.

Also those TAS videos are pretty inspiring. Fyre says skyworld is a good place to practice teching and I think that's a good idea. Teching is one of the things in brawl that many players don't pull off often, we should practice it more.

This just about sums it all up, I've yet to condition myself to look for when i need to tech, particularly when recovering as ikeTeching is easy, reacting to the move that forced you to tech is harder.
