Joker, look back at the colors rake said he used against gheb. then look at the colors you saw him use. Specifically in the first round. Find the wtf moment.
You mean the fact that he claimed to use a dark green move, when he actually used lime green? I dunno, I don't think that means anything. All it means is that rake sucks at colors. That dark green almost looks brown, afterall.

"Light/Lime Green" and "Dark Green" are awful hard to mix up. It makes me nervous that he claimed the color of Bowser's shell, a convenient answer, as his move when he didn't actually use that move. I didn't like how vague he was in his other answers either, or the fact he said things like "dual colors" without telling us what they were. -Dietz

Based on what I know now: it absolutely would. We shouldn't bye mafia.

What? They already have information. Much more than us. Yet, who's to imply they know everything? I don't think we should be shooting for bye'ing Scum every time, but I certainly think we should at least once. imo, it's more situational than anything.

I actually saw one of my colors become a darker/lighter (you choose which for wifom) color upon getting a color buff, actually.

Yes. But if he believes to have used the dark green, then he should have won the first round.
That's... curious, actually. Rake was being so ****ing derpy and nonchalant about the whole match phase thing, in general. If he thought he used the darker green, then he should've been pissed that he lost. Do you think he didn't give a **** because he and gheb are partners?

It's a possibility. Gheb's been consistently "rake is fine because he isn't guilty of anything"

That would actually explain a lot, because gheb literally used the same move over and over, and it seemed really dumb to me that rake kept using **** that lost to it over and over. The only thing is, he didn't use the same thing to lose over and over. It's almost like he was still trying to win, but he was just bad at it.

Good point is good.
Do you remember rake's gheb read? I remember him saying pawn should be removed?

I actually don't recall much of anything Rake has said. He's been awfully quiet ever since we deemed him likely town, which is something I was going to bring up soon regardless. He's been quiet in general all game, but it's still not something I like.

For Pawn:
So Pawn, are you still lost as to what to do? Just wondering. You only seem to come in to respond to our requests. I don't know if that's how you usually play though. What do you think of the recent conversations about Soup and his theories as well?

Also on Rake, how active was he in the room? I feel like he's not really PRESENT but noticed he did post on that one Monday. I dunno I just don't really see him really PLAYING much.

He was very much not around in the hotel room. He popped in to answer the things that we demanded from him (not even everything, looking back), and contributed nothing more.

Ah, I see. It's kind of how I feel with Pawn (and I'm trying to help him get more involved but still, nothing)

Also Pawn v Potato, pawn is the scum. We should actually remove him and let gheb be modkilled.

I don't think you ever explained your gheb read. Also, I think waiting on Gheb to be modkilled is bad since the mod can just find a replacement. Look how long we waited for Ryker to be modkilled yet he got replaced after a while anyways. I don't think we can RELY on that but it's useful if it happens.

(Quoting to give Rake an alert)

PJB > Room 4
Ryu > Room 2
Koops > Room 2
Soup > Room 3
Wots > Room 4
Rake > Room 2
Fabio > Room 3
Pota > Room 1
GLG > Room 4
Soup why room 3
Kantrip why Room 1?
These two stood out to me. Pawn not leaving stood out to me.

Right now, I know at least one scum moved, two if one of Shoco, Gheb, or Pawn is town (possible, growing more doubtful on Pawn by the day). Anyone going into Room 3 better have a damn good reason to at this point because neither are particularly townie to nearly anyone (I don't really know about Pawn, people are convinced otherwise). I get the feeling that there might be a scum between the group that went to room 2 or room 4 but ****all if I have anything to indicate who that even might be.

For clarity's sake, tonight's hotel rooms should look like this:

Room 1: Kantrip (from 2?)
Room 2: Ruy (from 4), Rake (from 1), Koops (from 4), Shoco
Room 3: Gheb, Pawn, Fab (from 4), Soup (from 2)
Room 4: Pix, GLG (from 2), PJB (from 1), Wot (from 1)

This is why I had the argument with PP though. I have said that Soup plays well as scum, and he will AtE as scum to get his way, and that's what I feel he is doing here as well. If it's forced to you, I really want you to think and tell me WHY he forced it. From both alignments, and then try to consider what alignment he really is.
i've seen soup play scum it's hilariously bad if he's forced onto a bad foot. granted this hasn't been recently

your decision doesn't need to be made until near the end of the match phase. I made the mistake of submitting my decision very early on in the phase, but because my original decision was to watch soup v ryker, nabe let me change it when it resulted in a forfeit.

Just figure out which match will net you information that you can actually check against, that's what I did. I viewed the gheb v rake match partly because I wanted some insight on how those 2 players play (so i could make sure to beat them), but the biggest thing for me was that rake had already talked about it so much that I wanted to try and catch him in a lie. Based on what people talk about this phase, and what people you'll have access to in your hotel room, you can make a pretty informed decision later on.
Did you gain anything of value from it? I don't remember if you said anything at all about it.

That's the thing about soup. He's an extremely emotional player at times, but he's so aware of it that he purposely incorporates it into his scumgame just to **** with us. I ****ing hate trying to read soup, cuz I really feel like it's a crapshoot for me.
now you know why i tell you ****ers to read beyond the ate

it's not that hard

just look at what he's doing

ffs

Most recent I can think of is Gheb's BiM. Over-reaction over what seemed subtle but it was a big deal to him because I think he would be contradicting himself.

It was seriously because it said they only have 3 people compared to the other rooms having four, so I was like "Oh, I better move here, then!" since there is more open room.

I personally don't care to choose rooms based on who I do/don't want to talk to. Honestly, there isn't much to talk about that we can't talk about in here, so I could care less about who we get stuck with. I don't find the hotel room phase specifically useful, so I don't see the point in handpicking specific people I want to be in a room with.

I didn't talk to Ran about it because I figured he forgot about our wincon and he'd want to stay more than likely, so I took the action and just moved us myself so we'd get that wincon.
Except there was nobody in Room 1, unless you guys moved after Kantrip. This reason is horse****.

What's your point? It was pretty bad but it doesn't invalidate that he relies on his AtE game when scum and it pays off. (And he has gotten better at that and at his excuses as well, through trial and error)
except his ate sank him, he and xonar both played that game so incredibly bad that i willingly lead the bus on both of them and tried to play my way through because they played that ****in' bad d1

No. I'm still playing the game, but I'm not playing it at your standards. Just because I choose not to answer your ludicrous theory-driven posts about me doesn't mean anything.
soup for like 24 hours of day 1 you were actually helpful, convenient, and a useful slot. then something got your goat again and you've gone back to being a douche. you, gheb, and kantrip are all being problem children about this game and your attitudes about it are such a huge gogdamn reason for it. if you can't motivate yourself to play, then replace out. if you can, then do it. stop playing like this.

We get progress. This game has not progressed at all and don't tell me otherwise. Yes, certain players might be making an attempt to progress it by restating reads or formulating new ones, but this essentially does nothing because that's all they are. They're just reads.
so you think that just forming reads does nothing?

Does it help in the long run? Absolutely.
wot

I'm not against what anyone is doing, but don't involve me because I couldn't care less.
so

wait

you think it's good of us to progress our reads, to continue to pressure one another, to continue to draw out as much information as possible but you don't want to be involved?

you literally don't care if we find scum? to help us find scum? to help us create good strategies and better our way of playing the game?

If there comes a time where something catches my eye, or needs to be addressed, I'll let you know.
what will it ****ing take

I believe I've stated what we get on the removal.
oh

I think scum would jump at any opportunity to remove a townie, more than being reluctant to remove one of their own.
or y'know they're being reluctant. i want gheb's removal because it gives me so much information yet everyone drags their damn heels.

This game isn't something where you just go ahead and throw your partners out like nothing because this really is a strength in numbers game.
AND YOU CAN GET READS OFF OF IT. WHICH YOU HAVE SAID HELPED. YET YOU DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING.

That being said, do I think that scum would vote to remove Gheb? Yes.
why

However, that's when progression begins, when we can start questioning people's intention and get more concrete stances instead of playing this stupid ****ing goosehunt that I keep seeing.
we still have people moving, we still have matches taht give us results, it's not like we're completely fumbling in the dark here

Am I sold on Gheb being scum? Not entirely. I think there's a damn good chance and I think there's also a damn good chance that we can net scum from it regardless.
okay

There is no negative to removing a player and people being cautious need to give me a more solid reason.
i actually feel the same about it y'all b *******

ffs soup stop being a child
