Knuckles for Brawl!

Uh... Shadow didn't ruin Sonic, Sonic Team and SEGA did with the added help from 4KIDS.
I don't think a character can potentially ruin a series (Scrappy Doo from Scooby Doo is a different story.) The worsening camera, bad controls, over dramatic story lines and broken gameplay ruined the Sonic Series.
4KIDS killed anything that made me want to watch Sonic X and now we have to listen to them in the games which isn't THAT big of a deal compared to everything else.
Sonic Team and SEGA aren't trying anymore, they don't put enough time into their games (1 year tops is what they work on) and look how good their games turn out... BAD. Compared to Nintendo, SEGA needs to learn a few lessons and go back to what they used to be; reliable, dependable, and good.
The Sonic series is also becoming increasingly annoying with more junk like too many voices in the level telling you what to do... At least make it turn off-able, I don't enjoy being told what to do in a game and the least they can do is make it so you can turn off that feature or make a skipable tutorial (Like in Sonic Rush Adventure.) Although, what's the point of a manual anymore because they put everything in the games now >=(.
I'm glad Sonic is in brawl and I don't think anyone else from the Sonic series other than Tails or Knuckles should even be in, AT or Playable.

Really because personally I don't see any good Sonic characters, Sega ***** Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in the *** a long time ago.
Shadow is a freaking emo clone, Amy is a pink annoying stalking ***** and the majority of the cast sucks so much they aren't even word a mention.

Good point, it is sad how he's been slowly turning into Tails over the past several games.
Knuckles has dreadloks, and spiked hands (and a snazzy cowboy hat). There isn't much not to love about him if you want a loner that can shatter mountains. I also have way more fun playing levels as Knuckles than as anyone else.

I stopped reading when you mentioned the cowboy hat, why not bring out the fact Tails still rule in the comics since you used a movie reference?
The fact is that Sega just plain ruined Sonic, Tails and Knuckles....while they keep crapping new characters like Shadow and Silver the ***hog to steal the spotlight.

Considering I was freaking not being serious, if you actually went to the Tails official topic you would understand why I tried this.
Just testing how you guys would react if your favorite character kept getting bashed for no reason at all.
Also your porn remark was extremely uncalled for, what the hell? I could say the same thing for the fact you like Knuckles.
P.S. Knuckles is one of my favorite characters, I don't hate him at all.

IMO knuckles is the one character who us untarnished and has not spun into crappy story-lines.
i can't wait for the day when it is just sonic vs the death egg. Just when you think of sonic think of sonic 2.

I agree with this, but I also think Knuckles' purpose has been forgotten a bit.
Afterall, in the past couple games he's been in (Sonic '06 and Sonic Heroes), he's been doing what? Just kind of walking around waiting for Sonic to do something interesting so he can tag along? I thought he had something big, green and important to be guarding. . . .

Maybe they'll play Brawl, hear the music, and come to their senses.
Or maybe they won't.
Maybe they'll just disown Tails and Knuckles and add a new, chartreuse hedgehog named "Rival", and he'll ride a moped.
At this point, the latter seems more likely.

Sega officially has the concept for their next Sonic installment. Nice work, sir. I can't wait to get my hands on a game of such high caliber.

The only real tarnish on Knux's record was the turning his early gullability into a gimmic in Sonic Advanced 2.
"Hey Sonic, see a funny thing happened..."
"YOU LET EGGMAN TRICK YOU AGAIN!?"
However everyone forgets about it since it was a GBA title and those games had no real plot at all. And the gimmicy nature was to bring humor as Sonic kept running away from his friends that game.
In Heroes I assumed Knuckles was there because they each got an invite from Eggman, and Tails got Knuckles first for whatever reason. I haven't played 06 yet. And the Riders games are... well, do they have plots? I mean they are slightly fun to play, but do they have plots?

I also know that Knuckles became a laughing stock when the decided to make Sonic X.
The 4kids dub is so horrible now that I think about it, I can only watch the show proprely if its in Japanese.

Wait just to add i really dont think anymore than sonic or knuckles should be included into to brawl i mean sega seem desperate at the moment relating all of the sonic characters into pointless or bad games/ storylines such as mario and sonic at the olympic games. Sega need a hit and they need one with Brawl

That's a damm lie. Tails is by no means more important than Knuckles. They ARE essentially of equal importances. Tails is just an earlier addition that Knuckles and happens to have been Sonic's official sidekick. That would be the ONLY factor that could possibly giv Tails any priority over Knuckles. Sega in no way showed Tails superiority over Knuckles though, like they showed Sonic's over Knuckles by having Sonic always save the day. Even still, Sonic VS Knuckles in a battle has always been universally accepted as a tie...that is until Shadow came about and dropped Knuckles to Tails' status.
Knuckles might have a bigger fanbase than Tails, especially for Brawl. I'm not 100% sure of this, nor am I making a claim but in real life, and on SWF, I've met more people that favor Knuckles over Tails. If Knuckles and a larger fanbase than Tails, that could be all the edge he would need. Tails is more recognized than Knuckles because of his appearances in the original cartoon and been the first playable character in a Sonic game that wasn't Sonic himself. That's the only edge Tails has. The gap betweek Knuckles and Tails priority is not as larger as you think...but if I were made to take a wild guess, I would agree and say Tails has the slight edge on Knuckles.

I 100% agree. But as much as Knuckles is my favorite video game character of all time and as cool and awesomely fitting as he would be as a Brawler, I'd be upset were he to make it in the roster over the 2nd most deserving 3rd party character, Mega Man.

Yes. Talis and Knuckles are not by any means likely. Would it be easier for Sakurai to just grab other character from a 3rd party franchise that he is always representing? Without a doubt. Would it be fairly and ideal to the Brawl fanbase? Probably not.

As much as I would love either Tails or Knuckles.... I'm hoping for aa "real" game where Mario characters challenge Sonic characters to SSB-like fights.
My view on the topic is:
Tails will be an AT.
Knuckles will be part of the Angel Island Stage (he will be setting traps all over the place, most likely).
As for my special moves Knuckles suggestion:
B: Throws Boulder (picks up a boulder out of the ground, and throws it forward)
B >: Knuckles Combo (kinda like Roy/Marths, except with fists: Ends with a bomb-like explosion, a fiery uppercut. or a double punch, depending on where you tilt the Joystick)
B V: Major Eruption (burrows underground, and comes back up with a fist) Sonic Battle
B ^: Extra jump + glide (Sonic Advace 3 (when teamed with Tails))
