So this thread will serve two purposes: 1. General friendlies and 2. Link ditto challenges
FRIENDLIES
Post all your request for friendlies here. Make sure you mention it's a friendly in your post. It doesn't have to be a Link ditto or even involve Link. And you can go ahead and ignore everything below (oh, but I do recommend you use the chat site to more easily set up matches, click the orange letters below).
CHALLENGES
Link ditto challenges: Challenge, report wins, and I'll keep track of
them (wins only). Hopefully by playing other Links first hand it might
help develop your own game. New: Only wins are recorded now.
Here are the suggested rules:
Setup: Get a match started *USE THE LINK CHATROOM HERE*
1. PlayerA posts a challenge "Anyone wanna fight (I'll be in the chat room)?"
2. PlayerB accepts challenge "PlayerA lets brawl"
3. PlayerA accepts or rejects playerB "Ok. i added you"/"No thanks playerB"
*USE the chat, it'll be easier to set up matches; you won't have to constantly refresh this thread and there is no sign up or registration required.
Betting System You can now bet your wins! (Optional)
1. If you want to wager your wins, agree to how many wins you want to bet before the set begins.
2. If you have no wins you can only have a basic match with winner getting a win.
3. You cannot have negative wins.
4. Ex. PlayerA "Lets bet two wins", PlayerB "ok", winner will get 2 wins, loser decreases by two wins.
Match: Here are the rules (lets keep it simple)
1. Set is best 3 of 5
2. Lag testing- Decide if the lag is acceptable. You may bail on the match until a life is lost by either player. Once one player dies the challenge is "official". Quitting after this forfiets the entire set.
3. Stages- Start with Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville or Yoshi's Island (brawl)
- After that first match you can also choose Castle Siege, Delfino, Halberd, Lylat Cruise,
- Pokemon Stadium 1, Corneria, Rainbow Cruise, and Norfair.
- Since these are ditto matches I don't think we need stage counterpicking.
- No stage can be picked more than once.
4. Timer - 7 min., Sudden Death does NOT count--most lives/least % wins.
5. Lives - 3
6. Items - off
Result: Post results for record update
1. Any player can disclose results.
2. Give these details - Player smashboards names, (score is optional)
3. Format - example...PlayerA defeats PlayerB, 3-1 (optional)
I will make a cutoff post every so often meaning scores are updated, if any info is incorrect please PM me. So challenge away!
