I would like to know this as wellALSO SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE CANONBALL THING?! HOLY HELL!!! WHAT DID I MISS?
I saw that, but ... Why tho?Bowser Jr's cannonballs spin while they're shot now vs. going in a straight line like in 4.
Some of us are guessing that it's to make it different from K. Rool's blunderbuss move, which will likely act like Bowser Jr.'s cannonball did back in Smash 4.I saw that, but ... Why tho?
Does this imply that custom moves are back?
If this were reaching any further you'd be playable in ARMS.Some of us are guessing that it's to make it different from K. Rool's blunderbuss move, which will likely act like Bowser Jr.'s cannonball did back in Smash 4.
The moving cannonballs are a reference to the doomships of SMB3I saw that, but ... Why tho?

I've played SMB3 countless times and I am pretty sure all cannonballs go in a straight line in that game. The moving cannonballs are a reference to the doomships of SMB3
Those cannonballs go in straight lines though, like they did in Smash 4.The moving cannonballs are a reference to the doomships of SMB3
Everything has been discussed to death already, what would you like us to discuss instead? If this were reaching any further you'd be playable in ARMS.
This is pretty much the reason why I think he's finally gonna be in Smash. If I was a betting man I'd say that k rool is gonna get in the game because of the whole fan service thing, but hey ya never know.
Or Petey Piranha! Lol..While it certainly is reaching, it's a pointless change to his canonballs... in SMB3 the canon balls travel in a straight line similar to how his canonball trajectory worked in Smash 4. Now all of the sudden his canonballs move in the this wierd gyrating way..... it certainly looks like they added this in order to differentiate between his and another canonball attack. The only other character who'd be using a canonball attack would be K. Rool.
I'm pretty sure the "Everyone" was referring to all past fightersThere seems to be a serious emphasise on the phrase "Everyone is here", Sakurai brings it up again in that Famitsu article.
If K rool isn't included under "Everyone", I feel there's going to be major fan backlash this time round.
He said he used the same assests from Smash 4. He didn't say all of the same assets.I like how Sakurai straight up mentions using the same assets from Smash 4..... how bout that Mii outfit??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......
If costumes deconfirm a character since they are just transferring assets, I guess Inklings won't be playableI like how Sakurai straight up mentions using the same assets from Smash 4..... how bout that Mii outfit??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......
You sure they can do that? How do you think it works making a model for a character from a Mii Costume?I was referring to the Mii Costume in a good way..... we've been mentioning it meaning more... they would use the assets to make a model for K. Rool.....
Maybe Sakurai HAD a model they made for K Rool and the costume is based on it. But they didn't add him for some reasonYou sure they can do that? How do you think it works making a model for a character from a Mii Costume?
If you say so.Maybe Sakurai HAD a model they made for K Rool and the costume is based on it. But they didn't add him for some reason
I don't think they were looking who got first place in the ballot. I think they had a set amount of criteria and picked a popular character who fit it.If you say so.
Anyway, I believe K. Rool was a runner up for the ballot somewhere behind Bayonetta, if she really did win the ballot, and she and Corrin were chosen as playable characters around, say, six months before the ballot ended, if I recall correctly. Maybe that is why K. Rool was in as a costume rather than a playable character by the time the ballot ended? Just saying.
If you say so. What I said was just a guess anyways. Still, they probably did make that Mii Costume for K. Rool to show how well he did in the ballot, huh?I don't think they were looking who got first place in the ballot. I think they had a set amount of criteria and picked a popular character who fit it.
Bayonetta probably wasn't the top picked choice, just the choice that matched what they wanted to add.
What about the cannonballs from Donkey Kong Country 1's final boss fight?I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I think that a simple approach to making K. Rool "unique" would be to make him the biggest and heaviest fighter and give him armor on almost every one of his moves. Similar to Broly in DBFZ. Also, what are people's ideas for a K. Rool final smash that is quick and snappy like Sakurai would want it to be? Only idea I have is the big laser gun on K. Rool's mechanical island.

Actually geno is a better against relevanceOn the subject of relevance, you know who else has been missing for an extremely long time?
This doesn't count the ports and remakes. It took 23 years for him to make his return to the Mario games, and he's a side villain.
Ten years of absence is nothing compared to this guy. It helps that King K. Rool had many more appearances.
