King DeDeDe Ledge Glitch

So the other day I was playing on a custom stage with D3, and grabbed the ledge on one part... King Dedede fell down to the platform below.

Is this a glitch, specific to Dedede? I haven't tried it with all of the other characters, but the ones I did try it with, it didn't work.

He's right. He's so big that he grabs the ledge and touches the ground immediately after because he's big...
it's old and has happened in other stages.
