Back in the day how if I wanted a certain BGM I would record it myself for a set time then convert the video into a BGM after editing. Of course there are some that I still have to do that to get the BGMs I want.

Some Brawl tracks just up and randomly make me resolved about being happy. They're like, "This is the world, you've been through a lot and there's more to go but it's life and it's about the rollercoaster ride and right now is the moment you're living for, so be happy."

I was surprised when that feeling came to me on a couple of the songs. I love VGM but never thought until then it would make me feel like that. Ever since that moment i've always though VGM is just as legitimate a music style as, say, Jazz or rock.

My family doesn't really support it though, for all they say they do they've called it shallow and i even recall a time when they told me it had made ME shallow, which they now say they never would have done. I suppose my memory could be flawed but I doubt i'd feel so annoyed about it if they hadn't said something like that.

There are many BGMs I've wanted to track down but with no names to go upon to find them. Like regular music how I hate when I hear a song I really want but have no clue who sings it or the artist because the stations refuse to say who sings them.

Lots to respond to!

Timmy: the thing about a lot of today's VGMs is that they tend to be more atmospheric rather than melodic, which personally I disagree with. melodic music can set the scene just as well, I mean look at the 'gogo happy' style of Yoshi's Island Athletic tune! That is one of my favourite VGMs of all time btw, maybe because it was part of my childhood and is so dang catchy!! I've even caught my sister who doesn't really like video games humming it!

oh did I share those terranigma tracks with you guys? Mainly this one, Terranigma: Sadness (remastered). It's so... incredible.

If I haven't posted it before let me know and i'll post some others. I totally recommend this guys if you haven't heard it. The song really starts at about 0:20-0:30 btw.

@ Poyo: I love so much of Brawl's VGM really. So good!

@Vinyl: How about a softer metal? Like 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metallica or 'The Phantom of the Opera' by Nightwish? <3

And we're all nerds. Nerds are fine, don't listen to that stupid stereo-type!

Oh and... Darn it, auto! That Coles ad with 'it's christmas time' that has those old guys that wag their fingers with the music needs to be made in to a gif. >.>

Yoshi's Island has some really good music. Sure you might love Athletic because of nostalgia, but it's a good song regardless of the nostalgia factor... and it most definitely has a catchy melody to it. It's one of my favorite VGM songs as well!

J/ks I love quite a lot of Earthbound's VGM.

Also timmy, the forest tune is fun ha. I love the mini-boss theme as well, the final boss theme, flower garden, the map theme (that builds), the story box and the title theme. :p

I remember getting the sountrack to it at one point. I love like 80-90% of it. <3

I totally agree though, most of my favourite VGMs were SNES. In fact, most of my favourite games were SNES!

Supa: This one is good for reflecting on past times and old friends, or memories you treasure. It's one of my favourite VGMs and I think you'll like it. Also in the game it's from it's put in exacvtly the right place - Years after the final battle, where one of the main four characters reflects on where all four of them have gone since the final battle. It's such a nice theme:

FFV: Dear Friends

There's a 'masterpiece' version of it which is kind of weird and kind of catchy. It gives this pic of Bart and his Chocobo on a cliff.

Honestly I think in the masterpiece version, they should both be wearing sunglasses. >.>

My friend and I watched it for ages (I think a lot of it was the random things that some characters would say). unfortunately I missed the last episode. :(

My favourite char besides kirby was probably chef kawasaki! <3

And MK and DDD were... strange. Oh so strange. MK must have been Antonio Banderras and DDD was texan or something.

They also said things that made me wish Tiff would just turn around and say, "Well no *!%@ Meta Knight!" <3

For those negatives, I liked a lot of the show, strangely.

And that's my rant on the awesomeness of that show.
