Yeah Tyser I'll upload em when I get a chance. I finally got my capture card working so I've got some videos from Intimikill to upload first. Shouldn't take me too long though.

Smash 64 is infinitely more fun when you can use a proper controller.
Are we going to have a wiismash64 setup at the next pyrosmash?

even if we do i'm still bringing a 64 so I can still use a 64 controller. I'm curious to see how it plays with a gc controller. btw, no c-stick support, its used for jump. controls are otherwise identical to melee. (i think)

I played melee tonight for a few hours and am now fiending hard for a gc. but I asked for one for xmas from my girlfriend and don't want to buy one myself if i'm going to get one anyway in a couple days.

Jace/Arkive/8bit/PC/anyone - wanna play some smash tomorrow (xmas eve) like during the day or something, I can't get enough melee recently and none of my friends are willing to subject themselves to getting kneed over and over.

But anyway is Pyrosmash on for Sat. night? Just thought I'd ask but I'd understand Pyro if your aunt didn't want us over so close to christmas

Do you have VC 64? I wouldn't go so far to say that you'd be learning the game all over again seeing as the controls are so similar to melee. but i can see why some melee players would prefer the gc controller, mainly just for movement, like dashing, pivoting, etc.

Randy, you know you can squeeze some melee in tomorrow. You know you want to knee my face in over and over again.

Higher quality controller son. I never burned the f*ck out of my palm playing mario party with a GC controller.
And it's so much easier to L-cancel when you can actually hit 'L'.

wait, what's wrong with z or r?? I think that gc triggers are more difficult to precisely hit than 64 z/r. I agree that the sticks are better, and the buttons tend to last longer, but the 64 controller still works fine for me, if only the sticks lasted longer.

the only thing better about the GC controller is the control stick, the button layout is trash on the GC controller. i use to use X to jump in melee and brawl, but now i have to learn to use Y to jump. the amount of button sliding i used on the 64 controller is a lot harder when using X on the GC controller.

shining in 64 is really hard on a gc controller
dashdancing is easier for me though

@jace: you mislabeled dark & boom vs. you and phat; boom was definitely not using falco.

that's the main problem for me too, button sliding is easy on 64 controller because the Cs are lined up with A/B. DJC with ness is so easy, slide from C right -> C down -> A = quick and easy DJC. It would be much harder on GC im sure. I bet dashing, pivoting and such might be easier, especially vs a worn 64 stick. I don't really like having L-canceling on triggers though, i think it's easier on a button.

that's why you take the springs out and make r into a button <_<
djc should be just as easy in 64 as it is in melee on gc controller. y,y,a.

im mesmerized by arkive's signature

hitting y twice in a row is nowhere near as fast as sliding from c right to c down, for me at least.

Nah, I'm in overland park now anyways, won't be back in lawrence til around the 14th.

I learned to teleport upsmash with fox today!!!! I am basically the most technical guy now. ARkive, I need to teach you this so hard, it helps finish fair combos with upsmash that would've otherwise been out of range.

Any word on pyro smash on saturday??!?!

Dude if you watch the first season you will be completely content.

And then you will want to watch more.

The manga is long as **** though.

But seriously watch Ippo.

It's super good you won't regret it.

Unless you're some kind of vageen man that doesn't like boxing.

Dmac says the manga is amazing because the artist is really good at drawing action scenes, but he still suggests checking out both.

Personally I don't think there has ever been a better crafted anime.

The music, sounds, and fight scenes are unbelievable. You'll really notice it on episode 74 and 75.

the music and voice acting and sound effects in ippo are the best **** ever, the animation is kinda weak though, super cheap early 2000s. you wont regret it though. it will make you want to punch EVERYTHING.

Merry Xmas!

As for pyro smash, I have no idea if I'll host tomorrow or not, who all would come? I dunno how the roads will look tomorrow at 5 so we'll see, and I'm not sure if I even can. But all this talk about VC64 is making me want to, I already play 64 with a GC controller and It's much much easier for me to play. Btw with the GC controller I use Up > X > A for DJC which might sound weird but it works fine.
