I did. We need to spread the message, man. There are 2 different Gokus. Goku from DBZ (impossible choice for Smesh Bras) and Yuyuki Goku (best choice for Smesh Bras).

Honestly, I think that Goku from DBZ has more chance to be in this game than Yuyki Goku.

If Sakurai did decide to include multiple kostumes for K. Rool, do you think his name would remain the same, or would he have different names for each kostume, as though his alts were different characters? Might be a bit weird if his name is King K. Rool, yet he can don his Kaptain duds if he decides.

Maybe he would just be called K. Rool in that situation. It'd definitely make it easier.

I think they won't, because Link's Fierce Deity is the same character (kind of) in a different costume. The only character so far who have different named alt are and , but that's because their alt are different characters.

But I think that they should go with K.Rool honestly.

All of the Nintendo royals get their titles dropped in Smash anyway (with the exception of Dedede, but that's only so in the Western releases), so in all likelihood he's only going to go by K. Rool, without his title.

I think you might be right there so I think the second best option for Yuyuki Goku is Smash Bros. Not as good as Smesh Bras though.

I kind of wanted to say something. It's sort of unrelated but I was thinking about it. If you are passionate about K. Rool and currently think he has no chance because of the Mii Costume, I suggest to keep going. I know building up hope to have it crushed can be awful but, united together, we have at least brought K. Rool out of his irrelevant phase (as clearly seen in the DLC trailer where he was put in the front and/or center of the entire video) and are working towards getting him (not a costume) back into games in general. And, it's not over until it's over. I'd find it foolish for Sakurai to ignore the requests and backlash that has occurred because of K. Rool's Mii costume and NOT make him a character. From what I can tell, he hasn't mentioned the subject at all, which to me sounds very suspicious (especially since his Twitter feed on that reveal day exploded with K. Rool Tweets). Remember: it's easy to deconfirm a character but it's hard to walk around a character's confirmation without revealing it (for example, if he said Mii costumes do not deconfirm characters, he will either set up a bunch of fans to disappointment by NOT including K. Rool or he would give away the next character). I wanted to talk about this because there are still a lot of people who don't think we have a chance or it's asinine to continue.

TL;DR: I wanted to say to just not give up on K. Rool and keep him relevant on Twitter and Facebook and other websites! I'm afraid that a lot of people just think that we are "butthurt" (as one Twitter person said) fans, but we can show that we are a community of passionate Smash players that want a particular crocodile king!

As for me, i have only voted for 5 characters so far.

The characters I have voted for are Roy (Confirmed, but not ballot fighter - Voted on my MacBook and first vote), King K. Rool (First on the Wii U, second time on the Mii Costume reveal with the MacBook), Rayman (3rd vote on my iPad), Sylux and Inkling. The Inkling (excluding the second vote to K. Rool post costume) was intended to be my last vote. Ah, I almost forgot Isaac, that makes 6 characters - and K. Rool, Isaac and Inkling comprise my top 3 most wanted. Sylux was for supporting Liquid12A's most wanted and it'd be a character I'd like to see in future Metroid games. Rayman's probably going to be locked into my top 4 position for most wanted newcomers, not to mention I think he'd be pretty interesting.

I really hope whatever moveset K. Rool has, his projectiles and traps aren't invalidated by Rosalina's Down Special. I so want a heavy character that's able to take her down consistently.

He was discussing what Myers Briggs personality type Sakurai might have (extroversion vs. introversion, sensing vs. intuiting, thinking vs. feeling and judging vs. perceiving). The test is basically a way to assign people one of sixteen labels based on their own unique preferences, thoughts and behavior.

It's fun stuff, although not entirely on topic for a K. Rool thread...unless we try typing him too. It's not super easy to do based on the games (thanks to him being a psychopath), though ENFJ seems to be a good guess for his cartoon persona.

Off topic a bit but you know what's funny about your signature. Its Captain Falcon running over Shulk and then a message says Don't lose to anime. The funny thing is, Captain Falcon actually has an anime (F-Zero GP Legend) while Shulk just has a traditional japanese "anime" look.

It's simply a running gag I have going on till I get a Smashified Isaac render and I make myself a new Sig.

I voted once for Dixie Kong, at work, K. Rool at home.

K. Rool is my number one choice though. I'd be disappointed if he doesn't make it in but that disappointment would be somewhat quelled if one of Dixie, Cranky Kong, Rayman, Banjo Kazooie, Bomberman and Snake make it in. But if none of these characters get it in(I doubt the last 3 and Cranky will happen but am optimistic for the other 2) I once more will be disappointed, but will also be looking forward to trying out who else we get, regardless of choices it's an exciting prospect in general that we're getting more characters.

1. Being a crazy villanous heavyweight, fits my tastes for a character in a fighting videogame.
2. Somewhat like Bowser but with a lot of twitching around.
3. I think a moving fortress of a kind would be the best, either flying or floating. He wants to invade DK isle, he has to get there first.

5. Probably not. Smash will always be a reign for fast combo characters. But K. Rool will be the best heavyweight. If he is lucky and gets to be as good as Snake was for a heavy, perhaps someone can take him to top 8 with dedication.

1. Crocodiles have been one of my favorite animals for a long time. But I love his character and simple, yet endearing design. To be honest, listing what I didn't like or was indifferent to would probably be a shorter answer.

1. The insane and murderous personality. I'm always drawn to those types of characters and the fact that he is a combination of two of my favourite things, crocodiles and pirates.

1. His personality and his different kostumes. Plus he is good at playing dead.

1. The fact he's a fat crocodile who manages to be kind of goofy yet scary at the same time, which makes him a very memorable character and a very worthy archenemy for Donkey Kong.

3. Possibly a redesigned Crocodile Isle.
4. The reactions to the Ballot's reveal, and later to the Kosplay. (Edit: and the cloned K. Rool movesets, of course! How did I forget to mention that?)
5. I'm not expecting him to be high tier, but mid tier would be satisfying at least. I'm not going to consistently play as him if I happen to not like his playstyle, but at least it would mean that K. Rool is playable in Smash and that's what matters.
6. I've been interested in the idea of King K. Rool in Smash since I've unlocked everyone in Brawl, but I haven't been particularly invested in this cause before really entering in the speculation scene and discovering that he has much more potential than being another generic heavyweight.
Besides, I wanted Robin quite a lot prior to his reveal, and seeing him revealed when the Gematsu pressure was at its finest was so satisfying. I also wanted Mewtwo back, and was devastated when the final roster was revealed to not have him, because I thought him being MIA again made zero sense, though I got over it... then the DLC was revealed. I wish I didn't get over it because my immediate reaction would have been much more hyped.

1: I guess one thing I'd have to say that I like about King K. Rool is that he has the most interesting character development as a Nintendo villain, going from just stealing bananas to kidnapping and then mass destruction.
2: Probably him facing the front of the screen with all of his tech or in contrast, to the left as opposed to DK and Diddy who face the right.
3: Probably a sky roaming castle and a swampy homebase that he can use to form new plans. Maybe Crocodile Isle was rebuilt for another time.
4: I guess some fond memories of this thread might have to be when we learned of the Ballot's existence and started gunning for him. There's also King K. Lone, which was pretty funny in its own right - making him a clone of everyone.
5: Hard to say - it all depends on what his moveset would be like, not to mention whether or not he can hold his own against rushdown characters like Roy.
6: In the pre-release era before joining SmashBoards, my most wanted included Roy, Shulk and Little Mac. There were a few others such as Takamaru and Wonder Red, too... but fate, why...? Upon joining the boards, Ridley ascended pretty highly on my wanted list, and a subtle support for Isaac too, who I felt was the most logical Assist Trophy to be promoted. Thanks to , my wanted was 1: Roy, 2: King K. Rool, 3: Isaac.
Now, The King has a rightful place at the top of my most wanted list.
7: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! KING K. ROOOOOOLLL WE WON! WE WON WE WON HIS FINEST HOUR OH MAN!!!! Now back to revision."
8: After King K. Rool's release, I've still got a number of characters to fall onto, and my Top 3 would probably now become something like 1: Isaac, 2: Inklings, 3: Rayman. Isaac and Inklings would become my utmost priority, the Inklings especially since K. Rool would have proven that Mii Costumes shouldn't deconfirm a character.

Flavour idea for today - give K Rool's Blunderbuss massive amounts of recoil.

Not as in damage, of course. I mean a healthy dose of pushback, at least in the air. Make it good for B-reversing shenanigans and it gives him a useful tool for returning to ground safely.

1. His quirky mannerisms. Few villains can match dat swag his unbridled intensity of simultaneous wit and madness

2. Upright, hand outstretched whilst he laughs maniacally in a nod to the Melee trophy

3. A floating city named Kremopolis, outfitted for combat with the Kongs and any other faction foolish enough to challenge the Kutthroat Krew

4. The ballot reveal was a good time for us, it really reinvigorated a sense of communal hope that had mostly waned in the months beforehand

5. Projectile-heavy / defensive characters tend to be outliers in the tier list, where speed and safety are the order of the day, but if characters like Brawl Snake and Smash 4 R.O.B. can work it, I think K. Rool could stand out with his deadly combo of stage-control traps and melee fisticuffs

6. No, he's never been my most-wanted character: Palutena was pre-release, Wonder Red is now; that said, I support K. Rool because my most-wanted was revealed way back in July '14 and, for better or for worse, K. Rool is my most-wanted newcomer that has a decent chance, so I've decided to devote my full support to the Kutthroat Kaptain!

8. I will continue to support characters to my final breath, speculation is among my favourite parts of the Smash community, and most importantly, I think everybody should get to experience the absolute joy of their favourite character being revealed for Smash
