For everyone re-voting, I would refrain from talking about the costume in your reasons for voting. If I were someone reading the votes and I saw the reason for voting for him was because he deserves better than being a costume, I would think "this is probably someone who already voted for K. Rool and is voting again because they're scared he's just a costume".

He's probably thinking that King K. Rool is too predictable for his tastes. So I wouldn't be surprised if he's at the point where characters like Brash the Bear would be more surprising than the king. But who knows, he just seem like that guy who would pick any character to peeve off the hardcore supporters of a more bigger character.

ah.. on a sidenote; I'm looking to the Mii Costume, and I'm amazed how they handled the Rare design in the Smash4 artstyle;.. actually, fits perfectly; And I never thought that I'd see this old look in a game again. It's great.
I'm can't wait to see his model AS PLAYABLE now; (but I'll miss his claws in the hands, but it's for a greater good ).

Personally, the darker colors make it seem like it'd fit better in Brawl. PAON's lighter skin tone for K Rool fits better in Smash 4 imo.

That might not be true. They could still care about the ballot and select a few other characters that rated high. Just because they omitted the most important one does not necessarily mean that they already decided who to develop. No doubt that is not the most wise decision if one wanted the consumers to believe that our voices were being heard. But who knows, anything is possible. I mean, we did just get an announcement about King Kostume Rool. No one thought that was going to be a thing (probably).

Yep you me and several of the pirate here did not take the bait the king is down and out as smash 4 dlc.

And they are completely blind on how trollful sakurai is.

And the biggest is that the ballot is still running and will last for 3 months (rounded up its 2 months and something days.)

I'm really curious about the design choice of this costume

Why is it SNES/64 Era K Rool? There are barely any characters that go through this change when given a Mii costume, most of them are all based on their Smash Trophies. K Rool got his modern design as a Trophy

And yet here is a Mii costume with his Gold Belly, tail, eyes and Tall crown from the classic trilogy. This is really neat and it's probably the only Mii costume I'll actually buy but it's still very odd and I feel there's more to it and I'm gonna continue to support K Rool

A theory somebody else made is that Modern K Rool is chosen for the character and that this costume is to celebrate his old design, though I personally love this design and would like to it see it as playable. Though this is a theory not to be taken serious

"Deserving" is a subjective sentiment anyways. I could claim that any character is more "deserving" than King K. Rool and as long as I provide a reason, it is not really possible to refute that claim.

As to the argument of "other characters having Miis," this is still unprecedented:

• Link/Mega Man were already in the vanilla game, while the outfits are DLC
  • also notable: Mii Link is the SS design, Megaman has X and .EXE designs
• Falcon/Luigi/Mario/Meta Knight/Peach/Zelda/Samus/Shiek/Wario are only hats, not full outfits
• We've also got Mii costumes of NPCs like Isabelle/Dunban/Majora's Mask and thrid-parties like Proto Man/Akira/Jacky/Heihachi. None of those suggest those characters will be in.
• The only similarity is the Meta Knight reveal from before, but that was still the vanilla game, MK was a veteran, and just a mask on a Mii who honestly doesn't have a bodyshape anywhere near MK. The K.Rool Mii is much closer to a biped, and is not a veteran, and is quite detailed.

Does it mean anything, no...but DLC is unprecedented, so making comparisons is kind of irrelevant. If we'd gotten a Roy Mii costume and then Roy released later, then we can make that comparison. Now, all we can say is that Roy and Ryu did not get Mii costumes, but are in. They came with 3rd party fighters as Mii costumes, who have a 99.99999% of not getting in as full characters.
