I'd be all for sending tweets and messages to Sakurai if K. Rool get in with some thanks, to sort of counteract any hate he might recieve.

Funny I just realized that if K. Rool gets in and I do main him then I'm probably gonna catch a little flack from my local smash group since I'm at FSU and our rivals are the Gators. Oh well it will be worth it to play as the one true king of smash.

As silly as the haters are, I hope Nintendo doesn't encounter too many of them. I mean, at this point, it doesn't matter, they've most likely already made their choice(s), but if Nintendo decided to scan through, say, GameFaqs (heaven forbid) or even some parts of Reddit, heck even Miiverse instead of somewhere like Smashboards, would they be so certain K. Rool was the right way to go?

I'm a natural worrier, and I always jump to the most negative conclusion, but I'm starting to lose hope again...

One thing I've noticed is that while the talks of SK and Banjo have declined heavily, K. Rool seems really consistent and constantly within the spotlight.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sakurai's a clever chap, he'll realise that there's a very good reason why K. Rool has so many fans and why we want him so dearly.

Ever notice that when something gets more popular, the number of haters expands along with the popularity. Don't expect to see a decline in the hating now or ever. If K. Rool gets in (hopefully) the haters are gonna hate still. If he dosnt get in haters will rejoice and remind us of it whenever possible. Either way let's hold out heads up high and tip our crowns in their direction and just smile.

Let's hope we see a return of the King sooner rather than later.

Outrage culture. People need something to complain about. Everything sucks. Everything is racist. This is why places like /v/, NeoGAF, and GameFAQs are so toxic. They aren't healthy environments for anybody who values their own sanity.

I've grown to not get worked up over detractors. It wasn't easy back in 2010 or so when Kremlings had first been cut out of Returns and a little before Smash 4's release (when it looked like they were going to be validated), but I've learned that it's much more fun and productive to just publicize and poke fun at their various arguments instead. Few of them stand up to scrutiny, and only ever gained traction because of being uncontested and/or phrased as "hilarious" snarky one-liners. Like, I'll sometimes RT random people who say that he'd be a Bowser clone and link them to the "Whirling Galleon" picture to laugh at how dumb an idea that is. They usually fold under being asked to justify what they're saying, which just goes to show how little thought is put into detracting.

It's good to come together in here and discuss the detracting when it becomes particularly bad or commonplace like it did in Etika's video, just so long as the takeaway isn't getting disheartened, but mobilized to get out the vote for K. Rool even more hardcore.

I'm the same way at this rate. I hear k. rool hate, i'm nearly unaffected by it. Everyone in etika's comments section from what I've seen has finally accepted K. Rool, because they had to, but many said even if they didn't WANT him in he'd be cool. So something was definitely done right for them to feel that way.

btw Kutthroats, I'm doing a little bit of promotional art. It's still far from being done but it's coming along nicely. I like to envision us Kutthroats as Kritters when drawing this. We are K. Rool's most dedicated minions afterall!

Honestly, I've more or less shifted full tack to K. Rool support. Even though I was content with the roster with Palutena's reveal, there were a few characters I supported in the ballot (Wonder Red especially). That's more so as a "wow, wouldn't that be fun?" effort than a genuine expectation of results to that end (I definitely never expected Tiki or Anna, yet I will support them to my final breath). Since K. Rool is a character that:

A. I actively and enthusiastically support

and

B. Actually has a realistic chance of making it into the game

I've decided that it'd be a good idea to do something to help out where it may indeed make a difference. Yeah, I could go on a campaign blitz to try and force Wondermania into the absolute apex of the ballot, but when I could just as easily devote that effort to help another fanbase that may well get what they've yearned for for so long - well, I guess it's just nice to be altruistic, isn't it? I just want people to be happy. I want somebody, somewhere, to experience just how good it feels to get their most wanted character in the game. I want to help make that happen in any way I can.

This isn't, naturally, something said to diminish Wonder Red, or indeed any character I or others may support. I've just never taken the ballot too seriously myself and figure, if I've got no stake to claim, I may as well throw my support behind a motley crew that I think deserves a fair shot.

So yeah, you can really and truly consider me One Of You~ ;3

Considering that DK, Diddy, Charizard, Bowser, BJ, Dedede, and Mewtwo are all 'animal noises,' I'd actually prefer this. I'm weirded out when Lucario talks.
