The only thing I can think of for DLC is that they're thinking "ok, if we can't finish these characters before release, we'll put them out as DLC instead." It never even stated if the DLC is paid at all. Granted, they might still include some paid DLC, perhaps for characters who aren't as much of fan favorites but were still popular. For example, DLC to bring Roy back.
In light of this idea, let's add all Special Moves from all K.Rool identities using this as a base:
Even in K. Rool's case his abilities could be changed up instead of having entirely alternate attacks.
I always saw K. Rool's specials like this:
Up+B: Kopter
Side+B: Kannon
Neutral+B: Krown
Down+B: ?? (my favorite idea is "Kredits," where he just falls over and plays dead)
So, that said, let's take a look.
Kopter:
I can't really think of anything for this one really. Perhaps one version increases his movement speed but deals less damage, and another version sprays electricity (like in the battle) which can shock people if it hits them, also stunning them temporarily. However, the electric version is shorter.
Kannon:
Easy. One version sprays cannonballs, another sprays gas, and another sprays fire.
With the fire version, K. Rool would just spray fire and move along the ground or through the air just like he does in the K. Rool battle. Not much of an attack, though the longer you hold it the greater the fire gets and faster he moves.
For cannonballs, K. Rool shoots a cannonball. Depending on how long the button is held, the further the cannonball will go and the further K. Rool falls backwards. When fully charged a spiked cannonball will shoot out instead, but if overcharged it will blow up in K. Rool's face.
Krown:
Throws his crown, obviously. One version could have him throwing his boxing gloves instead. Another version could maybe be him throwing a cannonball which rolls really fast, but I'm not sure about that.
Down+B:
Well, if the default version is K. Rool just falling over, another one could be him actually butt bouncing the ground. I don't really know about this one.
I also envisioned K. Rool's "second" jump to be his "flapping" animation from K. Roolenstein's boss while his default jump is just the original jump from DKC.
