Yup. He's not in his rocking chair.Guys...
Jungle Japes.
Cranky Kong.
Sorry about Midna, btw. I was never a fan but in all honesty I can get behind the AT idea. That's it. I'm sold. That's all I needed to believe in K Rool.
I used to be one of the biggest K Rool detractors...
But will you please put me on the supporters list?
I have to change my roster up a lot.
Taking out transformations, adding Greninja, adding K Rool.
That title... that awesome title.
Yup. He's not in his rocking chair.
...When Cranky Kong joins the battle, King K. Rool takes over the rocking chair! King K. Rool: leave it to me!
I don't think it means anything, though. They're going Tikis and Kremlings, not Snowmads. TF is probably too recent.
He had his usual cameo in Jungle Japes.Wait... Cranky Kong was in the direct?
Yup, that's enough to get me happy for K. Rool's chances at appearing in this game. The takeaway?
KISS THOSE GODDAMN ANTI-KREMLING CONSPIRACY THEORIES GOOD-BYE!
The Kritters reappear for the first time since 2008. Note, while this doesn't confirm K. Rool, this kills off all of that BS that Nintendo has forbidden their use, or that Miyamoto will personally erase them from any game they're in, or, most annoyingly, that they're owned by Rare. And K. Rool absolutely benefits from that. Hallelujah, oh glory.
well bandana dee tooPalutena and K. Rool are pretty much the only unconfirmed fighters that benefited from the direct.
Congrats Kutthroats!
Wait, when did he get his roll back? Was it confirmed today or earlier?DK gets his DKC roll and now this. I'm happy as a DKC fan right now.
Yeah, you can see him using it at one point near the end.Wait, when did he get his roll back? Was it confirmed today or earlier?
I (like most here) am on both sides of the fence. I'm not saying Ridley is definitely not going to be playable, but it's kinda unlikely. My love for K.Rool outweighs the potential sadness that could come with Ridley having a not-so-playable fate.Good thing our King got this boost. It could have been doom and gloom otherwise.
A word if you will, for my fellow Kutthroats. We may have seized the day for now, but our friends and allies in the Ridley thread need support. They'll get over it eventually, but they need that strong hand to help them out of the rubble. Some are down and out.
Hopefully they join the Kutthroats is they haven't already. I've got decent hopes for K.Rool now.
Yeah here.Wait, when did he get his roll back? Was it confirmed today or earlier?
Scar K. Rool, love it. XDWell, guys, I was conflicted about showing you all this for a little while. I wanted to wait until K. Rool appeared either in Smash or in a new DKC title first, but I figure now is as good a time as any. Everyone is in high spirits in the wake of the Kritters' confirmation, and after what happened to Ridley, I have no idea whether this will be the last time the mood is this great.
But there's every reason for our spirits to be this high; the Kremlings are officially alive and well again, and whether or not their leader becomes playable, it's only a matter of time before they regain prominence within the DKC franchise again. I toyed with the idea of making a K. Rool video to this very fitting song a while back, and over my winter break, followed through with it. I hope you enjoy my video tribute to K. Rool.
Long live the King!

Wow, that fits really well. Especially 'decades of denial'. Good work man.Well, guys, I was conflicted about showing you all this for a little while. I wanted to wait until K. B-b-but he isn't singing hilariously off-key!Well, guys, I was conflicted about showing you all this for a little while. I wanted to wait until K. Like I said, he's "Scar K. Rool."B-b-but he isn't singing hilariously off-key!
Same. Him being playable is obviously the best case scenario, but him being acknowledged when Retro is giving him the cold shoulder would be nice. Plus, if he somehow does end up being an Assist Trophy or boss, there's a model to work with. You know what you guys? Even if I'm getting hyped up for him to not be playable, it doesn't even matter, because he clearly will have some important role in the game regardless, and since it's been proven the Kritters are back, I'm about as content as I'd be if he was playable.
Odds are still pretty high though. HYPE EITHER WAY! THE KING IS BACK!!
*Sees Kremlings*Long live the King, it seems. What with the Kremlings and all.
Though with the likes of Rosalina and now Greninja, I'm seeing Cranky being a bigger threat than ever before.
