Actually, that makes me wonder how Shokio feels about K. Rool...
Would you believe I have actually seen this argument used unironically? Reminds me of the "Mega Man would be a Samus clone!" crowd.
Even though in the glorious masterpiece game known as "Mario Super Sluggers" has him at the same size as Bowser. Yeah, K. Rool is too big for Smash, you guyz.
I believe his implication was that K. Rool is too fat or wide to work.
I would be fairly annoyed, especially since Kirby got 3 reps and Fire Emblem even has 2... Nothing against either of those franchises (Kirby is one of my favourites), but I feel that Donkey Kong, especially given its revival since 2010, deserves at least one more rep.

Something alone the lines of, "I've heard a lot of people asking for King K. Rool. I guess that could work, but he'd really need a new model before he made it in. The one they have right now isn't very good. Give him a new model and he'd work pretty well."
I'm still relatively new here. Is Shokio thought of unfavourably here on SB? I saw the Ridley vid but that's all...
Well, duh, of course he'd need a new model, that goes for the majority of characters in this game.
The Ridley video alone seems to have generally given Shokio a really bad rap around here, and for good reason.
He posted a pretty long and drawn out video against the inclusion of Ridley which has a pretty good size support base on the forum and has more or less ignored any points other then his own on the subject. That's where alot of it stands, I don't know if he's really disliked anymore then any other person with descending opinions on youtube but he stands out more for reasons I don't entirely understand.
I think one of the reasons Shokio in particular stands out is because his video seems to be the most known anti-Ridley video. Perhaps it just ended up getting quite a bit of views, and it escalated from there. As a result of it being the most known video, many anti-Ridley people reference Shokio as a sort of final say on the matter, usually saying that Shokio disproves all pro-Ridley arguments. That might be because he explicitly ends his video by telling those who agree with him to direct anyone who disagrees with him to his video. He's kind of become a leader figure among anti-Ridley groups, and as a result becomes the main target of hate for the multitude of Ridley supporters.
I remember those people! Ha ha... looking back on it now, that first Smash 4 trailer was GREAT.

Speed definitely. I like to focus on the idea he's really heavyset so he wouldn't have great lift. (But then he's shown he can jump before... so maybe not) Should he use his run animation from DKC1 I reckon he could be quite quick. Quicker than you'd expect. But I wonder if he'd have traction though... like say you were sprinting right and you suddenly starting sprinting left-- would he skid?
I have a good feeling that, if DK and Diddy are keeping their real-life animal sounds from Brawl, that K. Rool will have crocodilian sounds for a voice.
The DK64 Opening never gets old.

Man, I hope they don't keep the realistic sounds for DK and Diddy. It robbed them of a lot of personality imo.
When he takes damage, he needs to *BURP*
I'm glad to see someone else say that. Makes me hopeful that it could actually happen. Also, I think it's a HONK.
