If K. Rool is playable and has an accompanying Amiibo, will neglect to buy it, buy it for a collector's item, buy it to sell later for profit, or do you intend to use the amiibo? If so, do you plan to level it to 50 and practice against it? I like to take my amiibos into team matches with me. If I could make any change to "Group" mode in Wii U and 3DS, is to allow Amiibo figure players to accompany you and not just a player can. That way they really feel like they're your little buddies, and get more use out of them outside of Smash mode.

I'll be buying the Amiibo to use, the same as with all of my others (now 14 in number, with 15 and 16 due to ship out next month, in the form of Classic Colours Anniversary Mario and Hammer Slam Bowser). I have Diddy and DK, with AI names "Diddy K." and "Donkey K.", so the K. Rool Amiibo will be "King K. R." so as to fit in with them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with what we're doing on Miiverse. The goal isn't to leave K. Rool the only option to pick. The goal is to have K. Rool being everywhere in the top voted posts as the competition ends, which it is if it hasn't already. It's about sending a message. A lot of people on this board claim they campaign for their character, but few actually walk the walk after talking the talk. The Kutthroats shown time and time again we will do anything to get K. Rool the exposure he needs. And now Sakurai and his team have K. Rool flooding Miiverse and his twitter account. We can be damned sure K. Rool is not being looked over or ignored as a playable fighter.

As for "raiding" Miiverse, just like the Ballot, there's no harm in it in my eyes. They will ultimately pick which pictures best represent Unity while also avoiding any blatant campaigning pictures (meaning a K. Rool one is likely to not get picked, but that's not the point).

I'm just glad we're doing something instead of just giving up. Not until the Ballot ends on October 3rd. We got a month and a half to go yet and we aren't finished.

You're right, there is nothing wrong: What we're doing is using Miiverse to talk about current events relating to a game that has a Miiverse community. That is to say, unlike the vocal minority who are vociferously complaining that the recent Miiverse overhaul means that they can't so readily flood it with off-topic junk anymore, we're using it for its intended purpose.

Only after they rebooted the Star Fox series with Star Fox 64, unfortunately. The original characters were more interesting, since they weren't generic animation-writing tropes.

1. I can't really answer that yet since I've only completed DKC of the DKC Trilogy, but I'm working on getting DKC2 then DKC3 later.

2. KremKroc Industries - Blackout Basement, a challenging but fun level.

3. His characterization, interesting design, & Lack of DK Representation.

4. I was confused and saw it as a consolation prize at first, but now I see it as either the former or a teaser.

5. Unlikely, but is a possibility through DLC (Never doubted for a second that DLC wouldn't be a thing, this is Smash Bros, lol)

6. DK64 cutscenes, although I can't remember much because I was young I can still remember some fond memories of being so scared of K. Rool that I'd stand at the corner of the door while my cousin played. I think it was his bulging red eye that did it.

1. Hard to say. Either Kaptain K. Rool or K. Roolenstein.
2. Poison Pond from DLC, Clapper's Cavern from DKC2 and the cliff levels from DKC3.
3. I have always liked him, and was a big fan of him to begin with.
4. I was surprised, but that did not change my thinking that K. Rool himself would still get in.
5. I had a reasonable, mild feeling he had a chance.
6. Battling him in the boss levels. Enough said.

This line of thought should've never even existed in the first place because Ridley would never join a person that battered him enough while in the midst of battle (Nice way to contradict your "accuracy" statement, Sakurai). This simply makes it even more BS when Sakurai states something about "accurate portrayals" and being "faithful to characters" in his reasoning for his exclusion. I'm glad the people that wrote the trophy descriptions at least do enough research to understand that Ridley isn't some mindless monster that just gets battered by Samus every game he appears in (I bring this up because Sakurai doesn't write up these descriptions other people on the dev team do if I recall correctly).

We won't know the exact results of the ballot, bit I think it's safe to assume that we have polls that accurately show the ballot results. So if K.Rool is really nothing more than a costume, a lot of people are going to be salty, and all that salt is going to be directed towards Sakurai.

Not only is he part of a team, but if I'm not mistaken he also takes input from characters' creators and/or the current people in charge of any given series (for your Ridley example, isn't the officially-stated vision of Metroid's creator that of Metroid: Other M? Could that not have played a part?). It really is not as simple as "Some guy on the internet can do it, so why can't he?" - the real thing involves an awful lot more people, and very likely some clashing viewpoints.

1. All of them DKC 1-3 even 64.

2. Favorite Dkc level was the first level in the Winter World, very hard, but i love challenges. Dkc 2 the final boss on the flying croc, that and the bramble levels. Dkc 3 was the lightning level where the bolts would strike, scary but loved it.

3. my knowledge and familiarity of the character, i would even try to catch the show early when fox box was still around... good times.

4.A little mad at first but that all went away quickly.

5.Leaks are nothing but trouble, it's not real until the creator of smash confirms otherwise.

6. listed above but i still loved going back into the final level of the dkc games, just to face off against K. Rool again

Ridley has already officially been shown to have a high level of intelligence to the point where he can do many things the mindless beast shown in Smash 4 cant do. Well if that's the case Ridley was always envisioned to be some mindless animal. That isn't Ridley's character!

On another note, the DK series could be under represented because of creator input. However I am not so sure the "creater" would be rare employees or not.

Wasn't Sakamoto the creator of the Metroid Franchise or at-least one of the original creators? I thought Sakamoto was done with Metroid after that horrendous Other M game?

Back on topic: If K. Rool gets excluded for some off the wall reason like being, "uninteresting" (Even though this is subjective), "not bringing much to the table", "Not enough personality", or something else that doesn't make a lick of sense I will be highly pissed.
