Justin Lennox named People's Challenger for E3 Invitational!

Justin Lennox was named the People's Challenger for the upcoming E3 Invitational tournament. The People's Challenger will get to play at least some of the invited players announced recently and was chosen through an Instagram campaign. Justin submitted a clever 15 second spot that received over 700 likes on Instagram. Justin dressed as Little Mac and showed his enthusiasm - the judges chose him as the winner based on his spirit, creativity, and quality.


Little Mac gloves - did Justin just happen to have those on hand?​

For winning the People's Challenger contest, Justin will receive an awesome prize package that includes:
  • Two round trip airfare tickets to E3
  • Four nights of hotel stay at E3
  • Two 3-day passes to E3
  • Two VIP tickets to the Super Smash Brothers Invitational tournament
  • A chance to play "one of the winners" of the Invitational

Justin Lennox has the eye of the tiger!​

If he doesn't play Little Mac, this will be pretty awkward. I wonder if he'll get into the competitive scene after this event starts.

Good on him for getting this! I'm a bit jealous for obvious reasons, but I'm glad to get to know who won it and look forward to seeing him play against some of the big names at E3. Congrats!

I think he's in it already. I've seen him post to /r/smashbros before he was picked so he at least knows the community exists.

yes, of course that's weird... there aren't any people in this entire world who have someone else walking the planet with the same first name...

no but really that was a cool video, good cosplay, and a catchy song. I definitely think he deserved the win!

I hope this guy is prepared....I hope he realizes the kinds of players he's going against.

yeah sure its still a completely different game from melee/brawl, so the physics will be quite different. But what won't change very much are the players ability to read and bait their opponents. Something this guy Lennox probably isn't anywhere near as good at as players like Ken, PP etc.


Then again, maybe they might go easy on em...
