It is funny how people claim I am not great in brawl and show me average players playing on youtube and say look, they are advanced. I look at the video and have to chuckle, because they are just simply "ok" nothing else. Just because I don't know how to record my matches and put them online, doesn't mean I suck. Also, because I didn't really hear of Melee(wasn't popular around here because of glitches and being a broken game), people say I suck aswell. These simple minded people can't even place good at a tourney. I came in first out of 50 people. I never been beaten, beat more people in my area and hosting a tourney at my school next week. Oh yeah, because the tourneys are not held in geekcon56, doesn't mean the people there all suck. Please, think outside the box before you suffocate.

The thing is... it doesn't take a lot of effort to TELL if someone is good or not. If they just pop on, randomly, out of nowhere, and claim to be super awesome... claim that well known and accomplished players are 'slightly more advanced' and fails to even want to back it up.... not to mention the way they *talk* about it... there's a sure sign they are horrendous.

IF you won't "play" (and by that I'm assuming an online match) then don't expect to be taken seriously as a skilled smash player. You can't gain any recognition without first earning it. You cannot look at a video of a match between two people you don't know and claim that they suck and you could do better. If you're so good, start winning tournaments so that you're well known, and then they're be no doubt about your skills.

Addressing the OP: no, just because someone hasn't been heard of before in the community doesn't mean they suck, but they probably do if they haven't been going to tournaments often enough. That's how people get good.

Arrogant. I will gladly brawl you 100x until you're convinced it wasn't a lag win. It doesn't matter but you still need PROOF. Give the location of the tournament, who was there, was it doubles/singles, what the rules were, etc. etc.

im i the only respectable person on SWF. I guess i am one of the few people that read his comment and am taking them for what they are.
some loser around here said that he thought he was the greatest things since PC Chris, which is totally untrue, all he said was that he is better than you guys assume by his post count, number of tourneys attended, signature, and lack of a recording device.

you guys say that he doesnt have the mindset of a true smasher. this is also stunningly uninformed. how many of you have gotten whipped by pros in tourneys in either game, and they usually 4 stock you dont they? and do you know why? because ppl like ken, M2k, chudat g-reg, and the like play every opponent they face with everything they have, 100%, everytime. they dont play ppl easy just b/c they havent seen them at a tourney or, because their name isnt known. and thats what makes ppl good, to be able to play your best against anyone under any circumstances. most of you, to be honest will never be able to beat the higher lvl players, because youll be too afraid and starstruck to pose a challenge.

and on that note, the OP and I will proly be the only people to be able to beat those kinds of ppl, because we know we are good enough to compete with any one. now neither of us are saying that we are the best player out there, but we are saying that you cant write us off b/c you dont know us, thats all he said, no ego involved. now if either of us are playing at a high level what are you going to say now

so what if someone new is saying this everyday, they could really be serious AND good, you JUST DONT KNOW. one of those ppl could be as good as they say. also, you guys say that nobody is pro yet, but at the same time there are ppl that the OP, with his low post count, could never hope to defeat.
