I honestly don't give a **** about smash in terms of seriousness. Think about this too, when you hang out with me at tournies and smashfest do I put out any negative vibes? No. I love people regardless of whatever is going on in terms of ''drama''. Looks, skill, etc don't mean **** to me. I would back any and all of you that I chill with up in a fight regardless of the situation. No need to get butt hurt over nothing. Pride is so overrated anyhow.

My learning from most of my competetive smash time and hang outs etc. was that we should all stick together and fawking keep comments about others to ourselves unless its about helping their skill, but causing a commotion....blah....kinda ruins the fun out of smashing...and kinda sometimes makes me want to leave the community u know...yeah...

Delphiki gets a couple respect points in the NK Book for being a man and speaking his mind. I like ricky he's a good/weird guy who's way too obsessed about smash (reason i bag on him.)

And crews are dumb imo. Seriously just think about it. The only reason I'm ''in'' teamscape is because they're my buds. KGB hangs out 24/7 and decided to just name themselves something for ****s and giggles.

I mean I been playing smash online a lot lately with Yoshi, since his moves and atributes are almost similar to SSBM...and I been getting better and stuff...do you guys think I should keep on practicing there? or should I just not even think of using the skill from SSB and SSBM...I mean their all the same!.....i need comment on that

People should chill out, because we play games to have fun.

People should be supportive of their friends/crewmates, but not at the expense of truth. That means if you believe your friend is at a certain level, you don't publish a list of people who are better than him, unless you are forced to take sides in an argument and you have to speak your mind. It is possible to be tactful and truthful at the same time, and without resorting to euphemisms either.

On the other hand, there's no reason to care excessively about what other people think of you, or what you think other people think of you or your skills. What another person has in their mind has no effect on one's skills, unless one lets it. One must be secure about themselves.

I also agree with Zoap about characters. Here's a question to ask yourselves: Do you know what every move in the game does? Yoshi's ftilt? Jiggly's dthrow? Peach's 100+ ledge attack? If you don't know what a move does, then you won't know how it is used, and you can't prepare for it. I also think it's important to try to play character with whom you have a hard time, so you can get a feeling of what is inside your opponent's mind. Mindgames.

Also I'm not coming to this, sorry. I'll be at the UCSC dealie. Everybody play your best, and give NK a big hug.

Sheridan I did that with Ness after Simna ***** me a couple times. I should prolly play Luigi too. I've at times done the same with Peach and Jiggs. Fox/Falco a little too. All in all, there are only a few characters that I never play (Pika, Marth, Mario, DK and Luigi), but only two or three characters of mine besides ICs and Pichu can actually compete.

Fights don't solve anything, so I would definitely try to stop the fight. That doesn't mean I would help fight for him. And yeah I know you were talking to Hyuga, this is what I think.

There's a difference between a fight and an arguement. I'd never get into a fight over a video game, and I'm pretty sure neither would NK, but an arguement is a different story. I personally think that you should back up your friends in arguements, regardless of what they say. Fights can be different, like if your friend was being a complete idiot and screaming something totally against what you believe in, like some idiot screaming "I hate *******!! (I censored that)". Personally, that goes against my beliefs and I would distance myself from any person that was actually like that. A person like that pretty much deserves to get his *** beat. But video games, and arguements, and friends? Come on, back me up here. And like everyone's saying, people are taking smash a little too seriously. What I said about NK wasn't really any different than what you said, Delphiki. "Oh yeah, I can't wait to **** your fox."

Well it's not black and white. The degree to which someone is my friend determines the degree to which I will support them in arguments, but so does the validity of what they are saying. I don't think you can just play the "I thought you were my friend" card to justify things. As for actual FIGHTS, I would back up my friend nearly always.

Of course, as you say, a person who says dumb things isn't as likely to progress in friendship status.

So in general, the degree to which I will support someone (and really I think this is true for anyone, whether they ar conscious of it or not, and they just have different weights for each factor) is determined by the nature of our relationship, the validity of their position, and the gravity of the situation.
