I don't think so, I find Sami is generally seen as more likely because she could be a Snake clone, while Andy is seen as more difficult; arguably truer to the series and more in line with Sakurai's direction, but it seems to be the smaller Base.

I think they essentially just appeal to different types of Smash players rather than a competition over Advanced Wars.

Well, consideirng he was only a silent protagonist in the first game, I'd prefer if he could talk, but wasn't that particularly talkative.

Either way I think Isaac would be better off talking because there's just more plot to input on; that said making him the thinking type would work well. If he sits listens with nods, go-ons and grunts most of the time before chirping in with the super important lines it would make him seem more intelligent, which would be an advantage given the number of puzzles in the GS games.

Link should be mute though. Zelda's plot is simpler and should be about the characters, and having a mute lead would make him very likable if they play him against Zelda properly.

I think Andy is both due to pessimistic over the chances of an Advance Wars character in generally. Robin isn't [technically] the main character of Awakening (according to it's creators) but we were guaranteed to get a character from that game.

The show wasn't cancelled. If anything it was never happening to begin with, but in truth, we don't know. Apparently there's a rumor now that its through Amazon, though.

To keep this post on-topic, I can't help but wonder that if Isaac gets in this game, the Golden Sun series could potentially be revived as Nintendo's answer to the handheld JRPG genre, much like how Xenoblade seems to have filled in the niche for console JRPGs. I know there's Pokemon, but that's in a whole 'nother league.

It's hard to compete with Square Enix in that regard. I mean, after all, there was this. I've also heard/seen some crazy good **** in regards to XV. Also, Bravely Default is getting a sequel.

DD was definitely a weaker entry of the series. (Note, I did not say it was bad: I said it was a weaker entry, especially when compared to the other two). I think that's why there hasn't been a sequel yet, despite that cliffhanger. Isaac getting voted into Smash Brothers would go a long way to rectifying that.

If Nintendo / Camelot was so inclined and handled the series correctly? Yeah, I'd bet it could be. Obviously, Square-Enix kind of basically owns the market for JRPGs, and I don't think Golden Sun will hit Final Fantasy levels of recognition any time soon. Still, if Nintendo wanted Golden Sun to be a super big thing, they could make it happen. The only question is whether they think it'll be worth the effort.

I've only placed one vote, and that is for Isaac. It's not that I have a problem with multiple votes, unless you're voting 10+ for the same character. I myself want to vote for Isaac 2 more times while I vote for other characters that I sort of want as well. The only reason I haven't is because I have no clue how Nintendo will take multiple IP votes. I really hope they do something, at least only for IP's that voted for characters 10 or more times. That stuff rubs me off the wrong way, and I've seen people openly admit to committing such practices. Until we get an official confirmation on how they'll take multiple IP votes, I am going to stick to my one vote for Isaac. Might sneak a better additional vote that is more thorough with things such as a move-set on my phone's service.
