So Falgor... care to tell us what you know about this Golden Sun X Fire Emblem game they are working on!? :awesome:

And didn't I tell you guys they would keep Roy's Neutral B to differentiate him from Marth and Lucina.
Basically, Sakurai does it. The concept is simple: 100% Fire Emblem, 0% Golden Sun. :crying:
That's what would happen.

That being said, I refuse to give up and all of you must do the same, our goal was the Ballot and it's far from being over.

Why didn't they just release this patch after E3? Now the whole presentation for tomorrow seems kind of spoiled... :070:

I think it's cool that we get a newcomer at least, Ryu looks kind of cool. Still weird that Fire Emblem has the same amount of characters as Zelda now. Had high hopes for Smash on E3 this year, thinking we might get some cool newcomers (Isaac mainly).

Still excited towards the presentation tomorrow, I'm hoping they will reveal something shocking :074:

To be honest I'm not sure why I get my hopes up for E3 in terms of Smash Bros. The characters that get revealed never really excite me. I'm probably among the most unhyped Smash fans around E3 time. :p

Only time it came close was when Villager was revealed, and even then at the time I was hoping for Tom Nook.

Probably the most hype thing that could happen for me at E3 now is that Ryu and Roy get released during E3. If only because it might mean they're making more dlc than we're expecting if they can afford to toss out 3 of them in quick succession.

I agree, it seems like it... Why else did we have two FE characters debut in Melee, but no Isaac?

Golden Sun was released August 1 2001

Melee was released November 2001, there was plenty of time to add Golden Sun to Melee within those few months, yet we didn't even get a trophy, which wasn't fair because two other new Nintendo IPs Animal Crossing and Pikmin did and they were released the very same year.

Here's one Earthbound is similar to Golden Sun with its fanbase, it got two characters, Golden Sun still has none.

Keep in mind Olimar was added to Brawl as a playable character, Villager was intended to be a playable character, but scrapped... All Isaac got was being a Assist Trophy, why wasn't Isaac intended to be playable?

Lucas was supposed to be in Melee, but scrapped...

Something isn't right... :ohwell:

Yea to be honest I am not really hyped up for too much Smash during this E3. The only character that I am excited for is Isaac but even then he is unlikely to be shown this early.

Hopefully the "surprising" reveal during the Smash direct is not Roy or Ryu, like Nintendo usually does, ignoring any past leaks. And hopefully Roy is slightly changed and does not become the 3rd Marth of Smash 4.

If we are lucky, we will see a small Isaac reveal. Since Roy and Ryu look finished, some ballot characters might be being worked on.

First off, don't put Golden Sun in Melee as a chance.

:4olimar: had much more chance being Miyamoto's creation and being released that same year, but Melee was rushed, very much so, in a short development cycle.

Second, him being an AT in Brawl was decent, but there should have been other trophies for the series.

It's Smash 4 that's upsetting to have lost content while still being a demanded series... much like Advance Wars.

I can't see any more new characters revealed at E3, but we probably still have 2 more Pre-ballot "Mario"s.
1 is probably Wolf.
The other will be someone who was planned but cut for time constraints. Maybe a newcomer. Like Isaac. Or Dixie. Or K. Rool. Or a Rhythm Heaven rep. Or maybe :linkmelee:, :ivysaur:, or:squirtle:

Either way I doubt we'll hear about them at E3, Nintendo want us to look at Roy and Ryu (and Lucas) for now. At best they'll give us a notification that Wolf is on the way (like Mewtwo's announcement), then give us game-play of him, and whoever else, in a later direct. They would release around October, by which point Sakurai would have moved onto the ballot characters.

The wait continues...

Oh, well. I still think Isaac has a chance though, but the wait is just killing me... If you really push it, we at least we could get another character (hopefully Isaac) at E3, and let's not forget Sakurai teasing Duck Hunt's trailer and we getting Bowser Jr.'s. Ryu and Roy are fine, but still...

At most, I'd expect a trailer like Lucas got in April for Wolf.

The team is STILL smaller than it was in Smash 4 Disc time. Don't over-extend what to expect from them. This is already beyond the expectations of most.

From the images I'm seeing, Roy seems to retain his moves from Melee, much like Mewtwo, which means at max he is a semi-clone of Marth because Marth was kind of different back then. He still has the explosive downward slice Neutral B, for example.
If we are talking about getting more newcomers, I think someone like Dixie or a Rhythm Heaven character that got cut during development are more likely than Isaac...

At least their pulling an Ike, making the Roy model based off of his older appearance in Awakening DLC.

I now I can't expect much, but that's just about what I can do in the moment. We'll still get a ton of new games from E3 hopefully, Smash characters aren't the only thing in the world after all.

Really?

I didn't realize it was unusual for him to be speaking English.....

He always speaks in Japanese in the Street Fighter games?
I don't think so, at least he seems to have the same voice in Street Fighter IV 3DS, from the trailer.

I compiled all the info in a post by the way, will update later if there's more.

I am garbage at arcade fighters.

I've played some SF2 and Alpha 3.

He spoke japanese in those.

It made sense to me.

Now, we just need Guile's theme.

if that song isn't in this game, Ryu being added was so poorly handled.

Guile's theme wasn't found by the leaker.

It's like Lightning Battle, modern Kirby music (though apparently KTD final boss theme is in) and variety in DK. Nintendo's not flawless, no one can deny that
*ahem*
Unfinished battle not being in is a crime.
Engage the Enemy being made shorter is a crime.

Guile's theme is the single most iconic musical track of Street Fighter, though.
It's like if Ryu couldn't haduken.

Or if Isaac didn't have Djinn in his moveset.

Any Roy fans here? I liked him in Melee; like many people, him and Marth turned me on to FE. Roy's game (FE6) is probably the hardest game in the series, which makes sense that it wasn't released in NA.

FE2, will destroy you.

Also FE4/5 are pretty high up there.

FE6 is one of the harder ones, but certainly not the hardest.

In my opinion, Gaiden was the WORST in the series. It's indecisive approach made the game feel like one big failed experiment. I see FE3 as the real FE2. Much like how A Link to the Past is seen as the actual sequel to Zelda.
