Do you have a collection of witty taglines for when Isaac is revealed?
My favorite is "Isaac Moves In!"
They do this to literally every tweet they receive, so it doesn't mean anything. Not sure if it means much, but the Smashified twitter just Favourited my tweet about doing Issac!
Its because this has been spread all over the internet that Dark Dawn wasn't successful and so its unlikely to continue, it hasn't had a game in a while (its only been since 2010; as you noted, many franchises have had far worse hiatuses). Hell, even GS had a worse hiatus; EIGHT years between Lost Age and Dark Dawn. SEVEN before we even knew it existed.http://nm.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/34ubea/my_brother_and_i_have_always_loved_golden_sun_so/

There's something strange with Golden Sun: I saw plenty of people saying they loved the games, but in the same time don't remember it until being talked about it again. Also, there's a terrible amount of negativism about the possibility of a 4th game (not even mentionning that I'm sure some people still don't know about Dark Dawn).
It's weird, I mean, it's only been 5 years since the last game in the series. Some franchises had a way longer hiatus and they're still alive.
And I say this while being someone frankly pessimistic, yet I still have a lot of hopes for Golden Sun.
Sadly, that's not true, there's still a lot of complaining from what I see just now.Honestly, the "Dark Dawn was received badly" thing was entirely the fault of the fans.
That game was so heavily looked forward to, and it did not live up to fan expectations. There were a couple of really mind-boggling decisions in it, from the point of view of someone who had played them all. Why didn't you get Mind Read? Why were there so many points of no return? Why didn't the plotlines The Lost Age set up get resolved?
Fans LIKED the game. They just didn't like the direction of some of the design aspects. Had they known it would be used as ammunition against the series, NONE of the fans would have spoken against it. Dark Dawn is still a GREAT game. It's just not up to the quality of the originals.
It's not like Sticker Star or Other M, where it's a universally hated bad game that is a part of a great series. Dark Dawn is just a great game among a series that is nearly perfect.
The fans (and only the fans) complained. Past tense. No one complains about it anymore, because it's not THAT bad of a game, and the fans realize that complaining about it is just hurting the series.
It's the weakest of the three, but still a very good game in its own right, and you should enjoy it if you liked the first two, or are a fan of RPGs.i really have to get around to playing dark dawn.Is it worth the buy?
Basically, its comparatively bad compared to GS1/2. Yeah, that is an annoyance. It wasn't as good as the first game. However, the idiocy that spreads now is that Dark Dawn was a widely critically panned game. This is completely and totally 100% FALSE. It got GLOWING reviews from critics.Honestly, the "Dark Dawn was received badly" thing was entirely the fault of the fans.

What you see just now is people complaining that non-fans are running with the "Dark Dawn was badly received".Sadly, that's not true, there's still a lot of complaining from what I see just now.
I'm being honest and admit that Dark Dawn is the less good game of the three, but it still has some good things. Though that's not everyone's case.
Golden Sun Dark Dawn was my first Golden Sun game. I became a bigger supporter of Isaac because of it (even though I guess it should be Matthew since he's the main guy of that game.) I liked the gameplay and story of the game which is eventually going to make me get the first 2.What you see just now is people complaining that non-fans are running with the "Dark Dawn was badly received".
It's not true, it's never been true. The fans bought the game, and a lot of them enjoyed it. People who bought it as their first Golden Sun game loved it. Critics praised it (mostly). It was a WELL received game. Just not as well received as the originals.
He did the same with me, hehehe! Not sure if it means much, but the Smashified twitter just Favourited my tweet about doing Issac!
Yeah. Hopefully they'll do more Nintendo characters overall.

I liked DD too though I've never played the originals. Is it bad that I liked Metroid: Other M gameplay wise. Not storywise god no. but the gameplay was pretty good.I'm just going to be that guy and say that I enjoyed Dark Dawn more than the original Golden Sun. Never played the second game yet, but from playing both the 1st and the 3rd, I can safely say that I personally enjoyed DD more. I could explain why, but that's not really important. DD was a great game, and I dislike how much negativity surrounds it. It's not Metroid Other M, and it doesn't deserve to be treated as such.
Of course that's not bad. I don't really hate Other M either, but I can understand why someone would. The story isn't great, but the game itself can be pretty fun. I was just saying that many Golden Sun fans that I've talked to act like DD is the worst game ever made, and that's not the case at all. It gets me a little angry, since it's probably my favorite DS RPG game. It's not bad to have an opinion, even if not a lot of people agree with it.I liked DD too though I've never played the originals. Is it bad that I liked Metroid: Other M gameplay wise. I thought I was the only one who preferred Dark Dawn to the original! It's probably mainly due to the fact that I played it first, and I can't give a justifiable reason as to my opinion, but I found the game overall to be better. Maybe it could have been because my view wasn't obscured by expectations of a better game and I wasn't aware of any plotlines from Lost Age which hadn't been followed up on. I don't know, I might re-play it one day and find that, after completing the first two, I do actually prefer the originals.I'm just going to be that guy and say that I enjoyed Dark Dawn more than the original Golden Sun. Funny, I thought I was the only one who liked DD more than the original as well. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. Like you, it's probably because I played it first, but I don't know... Something about it just...stuck with me more. There's little improvements to the battle system (in my opinion) and I find the game overall to be very charming. There are little things that annoyed me about the game (mainly how everyone had to say something all the time, even when it was unnecessary), but any complaint I have would be nitpicking. I wasn't bothered by anything plot related because I didn't know anything about the two games before it, and even now that I know, it still doesn't bother me at all. I'll always love Dark Dawn, and while I wouldn't say it's WAY better than the original, it certainly was more fun for me. One thing that did annoy me about Dark Dawn (other than Kraden) was the cliffhanger ending, kind of like in the original. Fortunately, having both on the e-shop meant that I didn't have to wait to play Lost Age after the ending of Golden Sun.
Isaac's probably on the list. Just that other big requests keep getting in the way for him. K. Rool was one of the most requested characters in the whole series. So maybe Isaac's in the next few cause I've seen a lot of people ask for him from Omni too. I already tweeted at him to do it.Guys tweet at @smashified for Omni to make a render of Isaac, they just did one for K. Rool.
Yeah, my only complaints would be minor ones as well. I actually find it amusing how everyone always says something in Golden Sun, especially right at the end of the first game:Funny, I thought I was the only one who liked DD more than the original as well. Well...I shouldn't say that as fact yet, since I haven't played the second game. Still waiting on it's virtual console release. I'm constantly told that it's the best of the series, so whenever I finally get to play it, I hope it lives up to my high expectations.
Imagine if Diddy suddenly became emo and he would narrate everything you did in the most monotone voice ever and getting PTSD by encountering a barrelthought Other M was actually pretty good
Ok, good luck with that.Yeah, I lost my work last time though so I have yet to do it again but it is coming I promise.
I'm actually working on drawing the Smash characters right now, I have some weird consistency issues with my art style that bug me and I want them ironed out before I do Isaac.
Yes sir sorry sir.All right guys, this is Isaac's thread, not Other M thread. Also @ StrikeBlade , weren't you working on an Isaac moveset similar to the Banjo Kazooie one?
The issue is simply perception becoming reality.Sadly, that's not true, there's still a lot of complaining from what I see just now.

You know the funny part? Sunshine's one of my favorite installments. And I thought Sticker Star wasn't THAT bad, though it could've done a lot better on things like letting Bowser's personality be explored (a Paper Mario original) and being more helpful with boss fights. Plus, DK64 had good music. If I were to compare Dark Dawn to anything, it would like Donkey Kong 64/Super Mario Sunshine (Flawed, but enjoyable in some aspects despite not living up to expectations). Still nowhere near as "controversial" as Other M and Sticker Star.
k. Rool should be number 1# because there too many people, K. Rool is popular both Japan and America number 1#, Inkling is not even that good neither, is popular here but in Japan, Bandana Waddle was more popular and even MK III, Literally a obscure Nintendo Character. The only potential are the amiibos, that it.Looks like he's getting a lot of recognition =D.
Thank you relaxalax =D.
Didn't like how Inkling was placed in though, the game hasn't even been released but meh!
I literally forgot that he very fast too. Need to be faster than Shulk (Without speed right), that for sure.Assuming Isaac makes it in, how fast do you think he'll play? I personally think he will be around links speed!
He definitely can't be as slow as Robin or even Shulk(without speed), especially when he's considerably fast in Golden Sun.
Sorry, I just had to fix the spelling errors in your post. I'm sure this is what you meant. If I were to compare Dark Dawn to anything, it would be like Donkey Kong 64/Super Mario Sunshine (Fantastic, and enjoyable in every aspect whilst also living up to expectations). Still nowhere near as "not absolutely perfect but still good" as Other M and Sticker Star.
