How do I unlock the Golden Sun song on Palutena's Temple? Is it a random CD drop or is there a challenge for it?
Tis a random drop my friend. I feel your pain I've been searching for the Glory of Heracles CD for-fraking-ever. Has anyone found it yet??

So guys, what favorite moments did you have hanging out here in this support thread?
The anticipation for the April Direct especially in light of Golden Sun being one of the first games showcased for GBA VC on the Wii U. I figured that if Isaac was to be playable, I was hoping he was going to be revealed in said Direct to advertise the recent (at the time) re-release.

The best way to unlock the GS song is to do Crazy Orders or Master Orders.
I can confirm this is true. That's how I got mine. Just keep playing Special Orders till you get it.

Also, my favorite part/moment of this forum was being able to speculate with all of you. It's rare to find people that actually are fans of GoldenSun and this place is great to talk about an amazing game that deserves to be recognized like the rest with other fans of the series.
Fortunately, at least it's not as rare as those who have played Jet Force Gemini. It's extremely difficult to find even one person who has played that awesome game. :/
BTW, awesome theories on the number 4 there, guys. Gave me a good laugh.

Well I used to be a minor member on Golden Sun Realm which unfortunately closed back in January of 2014. Made me sad it did.

I used to be a member there as well, and was super-bummed when I realized a few months ago that their forums were totally gone D: Still had it in my bookmarks and everything.

RIP Golden Sun Realm, you are missed dearly :c

Unless GoldenSun 4 is announced, hope it will return. Until then, those forums will be missed. *salutes*

You trying to troll us :p

All in all, the whole thing was fun, especially when the mood was high and we were making jokes. Like the recent 4 joke and other fan-art and stuff. Plus all the speculation regarding little stuff, general GS discussion and turning people over to the "Dark Gold" side!

Hmm, too bad that GS realm is gone, but we can discuss a lot of that stuff here till then! Till GS4 comes out and tons more forums are revived. Can't wait for influx of some badass fanart. Plus the game itself which will be amazing whenever it comes out!

I could not see Isaac at all in the other section with AT, the Ice Climbers and other miscellaneous stuff like Excitebiker, Rayman, Wonderful 101 characters and Captain Rainbow. Unless our hopes of Isaac playable become true, this is quite honestly a very disrespectful treatment to the series when so many much less relevant franchises obtained trophies. I also skimmed through the Kirby and FE section, Kirby is lucky to get anything that goes beyond Super Star, and the latter is rather pitiful, and for whatever reason, Sakurai bothered giving trophies to so beloved Other M characters like Melissa Bergman (seriously, why?).

I'm one of those rare people who played Jet Force Gemini. I'm 25 so I grew up with my SNES and Nintendo 64 and JFG was one of my fav games. Such a great gameplay and the story was soooooo long.

When I discovered Golden Sun on GBA I fell in love with it. Golden Sun and Advance Wars are two classic GBA games for me and they both deserve a rep in Smash. Isaac is no more AT but Advance Wars is still one... really weird decision given Golden Sun has soundtracks as well.

So it's confirmed that we have no Isaac trophy or Golden Sun trophy? I know it's not much but you'd think the virtual console releases would have at least made them go "Hey, Isaac and Golden Sun are in the spotlight again. Let's put the Isaac trophy in". Is that too much to ask?

This really boggles my mind. Golden Sun is certainly deserving of a single trophy, the series isn't THAT bad off. What the hell are they playing at?

This is really unnerving. It probably sounds pretty sappy but it's deeply upsetting to see a series I grew up playing treated so roughly.

So, I'm just going to explain some of the arguments against the music tracks:

1.) Before we knew it wasn't a remix; "Oh, I heard the musicians were able to remix any songs they wanted. It doesn't mean anything that GS has a new song."

2.) When it was presumed it wasn't a remix (and later proven): "See? Golden Sun isn't important enough to even get a remix!"

Just wanted to bring that up. Basically, it doesn't matter if Weyard was a remix or not. It wouldn't matter either way, people will still claim Isaac is unlikely.

At this point I expected lack of an Isaac trophy in Smash Wii U. But I'm still suspicious, it makes no sense at all for GS to get less content in this game.

I'd like to take this a bit further: It makes no sense for any game to receive less content in this title. The entire point was to be the blowout quintessential Smash game. Fewer player characters? Understandable. Fewer stages? Well, newer stages is probably more accurate, I don't think any franchise actually lost stages. But for games and series not represented by playable characters? Why would you remove content from any of them? Why is Ray gone? Drill Dozer? Barbara? Why would you remove content in a game that's all about content mash-ups if you want it to be your best version ever?

The word I'm thinking of in Sakurai's logic is relevancy. I made a note of this as each character had a link at the bottom of their character's section to a recent game.

Either the franchises have to be with recent games (the majority) or are "retro" (Mr. Game & Watch & Duck Hunt). What is baffling here is that Dark Dawn was released in 2010, a year after Punch-Out!! on the Wii, and the same year as Donkey Kong Country Returns, Xenoblade Chronicles (in Japan), and the infamous Metroid: Other M. One of these things is not like the others.

I can understand the concept of Golden Sun being relegated, but it does not fill me with confidence seeing a franchise's representation go backwards from having an Assist Trophy (but no other character trophies or stickers in spite of oodles of Golden Sun artwork while Mother 3 characters were nothing but sprites) to no AT in spite of a game being released in that time window. Plus, the first game was one of the most anticipated VC games, and still is selling well. This isn't an obscure title like Panel de Pon or Startropics; this was a relevant franchise that made a game company a good deal of money and helped popularize a beloved portable console. I know that sounds like being a homer, but there is some fact in what I just said.

Either Golden Sun is getting the royal shaft due to Monolith Soft being the new go-to RPG crew (since, unlike Camelot, they have the workforce and the budget for console games), or Sakurai is planning on using DLC to accomodate Golden Sun's representation. I'm not asking for 20 trophies and a bunch of stages, but at least focus on some core characters and share the same stage in both versions of the game.

But the whole relevancy argument falls flat when you consider he plopped in the Dark Dawn Overworld theme on a KI stage just because it shares certain themes and Greekish setting with GS.

And if relevancy and if a franchise has a future or not is a thing with him why wasn't Lyn from FE replaced with a different Swordmaster esque character from Awakening?

That is true, but on the other hand, it's easy to dump in an audio track, particularly an original audio track.

That part especially confuses me. There are plenty of other characters that can replace Lyn, yet they keep her. Meanwhile, Isaac's AT isn't too complicated (he just stands there and uses Move), yet he is removed.

In all honesty, I have zero clue where Golden Sun actually is in Nintendo's heirarchy. I'm just grasping at straws.

That's the thing. When it comes to "ease", Isaac is just as easy to import as any other AT. If not easier, since his is more simple than some.

This is exactly correct. Relevancy explains the other cut content... but not Golden Sun.

Relevancy isn't the end-all factor. The point is, the franchises cut all-together are no longer relevant at all in any way, shape, or form. Golden Sun is still relevant, so its odd that there's no GS trophy, but there is music (even a new track, despite not being a remix).

Lyn is among the most recognizable FE characters to the western audience, as she's the very first character the west saw in the actual FE franchise, and Lyn is one of the main characters of that game. Even if she's not technically "the" main character, she's the de facto face of the game, and also made a prominent appearance in the Fire Emblem: Awakening DLC. In fact, she's the ONLY one of the Rekka No Ken Lords made available through DLC (the others are only available through Spotpass).

That's the thing. When it comes to "ease", Isaac is just as easy to import as any other AT. If not easier, since his is more simple than some.
This is honestly why I'm more inclined to believe he was cut because he was planned to be playable at one point. But obviously I don't know for sure, and I don't want to get my hopes up too much...

Replacing Lyn's AT with a newer FE character is pointless. Lyn is a much better character to represent the Swordmaster type of class, and they don't see a reason to cut her because she is a popular character and as a main Lord, she's much more important than a random Swordmaster you encounter in any single game. Even moreso that she's the first main Lord seen in the west, making her a very iconic character in the FE franchise overall.

Personally they probably replaced Isaac with Giratina. Since it does the same damn thing. They kept Saki from Sin and Punishment though. Even though Star Successor was a thing. That no one bought. Except me. And 20 other people.

What's Giratina do?

Besides which, there's numerous AT's and items which do the exact same damn thing. So that's not an argument at all anyway.

Maybe Sakurai kept Saki because he was the most iconic in the series and S+P did have a good game released 4 years ago.
Dark Dawn was a good game though. It just wasn't amazing.

(and considering we got a song from Dark Dawn I don't think your assessment holds water. They're not ashamed of Dark Dawn.)

Challenge, I hink was a challenge... I dont remmeber but I think is was a challenged. (I have the Song and Play in FE Stage.)

My Favorite part. Suprised Isaac is not in the game but Dark dawn have a music on it. I was like "No fuc way, they really not forget about dark dawn.". Because everyone say Dark Dawn is reject by Nintendo and then Nintendo come and say to us like "Let me tell you why is Bullsh**." And put the song In Sakurai Bias Palutena Temple Stage.

And Isaac is becoming more popular and now being part of Hype 4 or better say Hype 3.

Other M got negative reception and it still was prominently featured in Smash despite being considered by Metroid fans to be a bad game.

I don't think the quality of DD is a solid explanation for why Isaac was removed as an AT. And it's not as if Isaac isn't the most iconic character in his franchise.

Regardless of whether Isaac will be DLC or not, I do agree that he literally has no legitimate reason to be cut as an AT and it's not as if DD was badly received enough that cutting him would make sense. There are characters with far more questionable future that remained, characters from smaller franchises, characters who hasn't even gotten a post-Brawl game, etc. Isaac is certainly big enough to remain as an AT.

ExciteBike gets a full 3D model trophy I think. All the others are nonexistent.

Edit: Actually I don't think any of those are in the game.

Lyn was in Awakening.

And Lyn herself might not have a future even though she was in Awakening (where she is equally important as all other optional DLC characters so it isn't saying much)... but Fire Emblem as a franchise still has a future.

Lyn was only in Awakening due to the whole Einherjar magic wonder card shenanigans. Just like Marth, Ike, Roy, and every conceivable Fire Emblem unit that wasn't a Dragon boss or a Male Manakete.

I don't care about the excuse plots as to why Lyn is in Awakening... she is still optional DLC... that means I could play Awakening and never see Lyn in the game simply by not buying DLC.

All we know so far is they have Mewtwo planned. If someone was able to datamine the Disc and see if they have any dump data that gives larger clues...

At least you admit it's an excuse.
