Probably going to both. Are people going to Coli for the Omaha tourney? Or are we just going to Ames instead?
10/10Black History Brawl Festival .... hahaha we should invite Kansas
Also is there a tournament on the 10th?
So right now the plan is to have one that day however because of how it has been in the past tourneys on November and December tend not to happen so with that said the 10th it is a tourney but if not many people show it may just be a biweekly or something like that and yes man we definitely need to start practicing last time I think we only played that one day and that was it >.<Also is there a tournament on the 10th? Cause if so, Joker you and I can practice on teams from now until the tourney. I'm not too interested in losing again :-\...does taste good.
Must be the end of the world.Glad you got internet back man. 2012 year of Joker's fighting game monthlies!?
I see what you did there >.<Must be the end of the world.

Haha no, I change this avatar a ton. Though, he does have a cute hat on.Showing off your new avatar, I see you.
I LOVE teams, and I LOVE teamwork. Mostly because it is one thing to watch a person execute a plan, but when two independent individuals get together and accomplish something it looks WAY cooler….”Wombo Combo” anyone? …. A part of having teamwork is having a good partner, and here in Iowa the teams are notoriously lopsided, so that isn’t the case…so the next best thing is to have a partner that at least tries. That is why I’m always boosting my teammates up…because if they try, something cool is bound to happen! Plus, everyone likes to win, even if they aren’t good at it.First of all, on all the doubles and IA talk. When it comes to doubles, yeah its true we play it a lot at Christians, and yeah its true Sekou probably inspires his teammate to work a little harder. I'm not going to lie, I have no care for the game at all. So when I jumped in for Greg to team with Sekou, I'm just like "I'm gunna do whatever." But Sekou drops all these expressions and then I feel bad like "I can't just do whatever, I'm making us lose." lol. Then he gets me all hyped up "Blank is playing phenomenal right now" "Oh he is carrying the team."
You are right, it is realativly easy to have synergy with me no matter who you are or what character you play. I like to try to adjust myself to the strengths and weaknesses of my teammates. This is mostly because I consider it a puzzle…what is the best strategy to use given my abilities and my teammates? It feels really good when I can take a scrubby player and develop a strategy that enables me to beat a team whose skill are way better than ours. WHERE YOU AT COLIN? :-D I also work harder when I come up with a plan and it doesn’t work. I personally believe that is a way to win, regardless of the skill level of the other team. If I lose, it is my fault for not seeing how to accomplish it. I take this same mindset beyond just brawl too, I believe there is a way out of EVERY situation in life, and if I didn’t get out of it, there is something wrong with me. I guess I just have a drive to be good at everything :-\...anywayWhen it came for me to team with Christian during our last round robin, I don't even know if we tried that time. Christian went Wolf, and the mayhem when he went Snake was just something you can't compensate for with autopilot, because you get blown up a bunch. Still, its pretty easy to have random synergy with Sekou if you just don't die. I remember he told me "You blow through stocks like candy." And hes right because I have no value in my stocks, I just try and throw the most moves while I can, but I find it funny because you could probably do better with Sekou just not doing anything and being hard to focus then actually trying and putting yourself into danger. You probably couldn't say the same for Snake.
You are 100% correct I try not to give anyone free hits at anytime. That is why I’ll make comments when I get hit. Unless I try to get hit, (which I actually do often) I am constantly trying to figure out ways of creating situations that are beneficial to me and me only Here is the break down of when I get hit 60% - Counter Hit as a result of a bad prediction 25% - Out spaced 10% - outplayed 5% - outsmarted/trickThats just the game though, and speaking of which it really can be easy. I don't play the game anymore but I could probably still get 3rd at every local(Last tourney I won't john, but I technically did win a 2/3 against Kuares, props for him bringing it back though. Never going to PS again). And I feel like after 2-3 years of the game being out, people would be way too good and frustrating for me to play now but thats not the case. The only one I really see that with is Sekou, how do you not rage at that ****? Hes the kind of player who just doesn't let you have free hits, thats not fun at all. Even though I went Falco against him, hes not someone I want to try against. Even with a bit of practice you can't really mimic everything he does.
:-D I absolutely love reading people’s strategies and then calling it out to them. It is a psychological trick. It is almost a win win for me. Let’s say your best strategy at the time is to chase my teammate. If I am right and say it outloud, 1) you wonder “how did he know?” 2) If he knows, is it really smart for me to still do it? Then a lot of the time, people will abandon their optimal strategy for a suboptimal one that is easier for me to counter. If I’m wrong, you might decide to do what I say…and obviously I’ve been planning on that for the past few seconds. So it is a mindgame…TL:DR- Develop a good plan and stick to it, even if PortCity is doing his best Miss Cleo impressionEdit2: Sekou also plants those seeds of doubt in people's heads. "Why are you chasing me?" "Oh thats right come off the ledge baby." "Let him mess his partner up." "Oh thank you." Its like you're trying your best to do what you think is right, and Sekou is here making you think you're doing something wrong. It rolls over your head when you should really just stick to your teams regimen regardless.
Yeah, Joker does like blowing stuff up lol.Edit: Joker just has that terrorist mindset. "Can I blow it up yet?"
It's obviously died off a bit (especially around here) but I stopped paying attention to tourneys so I can't really say. I know I've been bored with it for a while :/ (Brawl at least)Sweet jesus, that's one long post. /didn't read
Also, do people still play Smash? As in, does the world still play it a lot? Haven't been keeping up with recent events but everything seems smaller than it was 1-2 years ago. The end of the party game community perhaps?
You don't throw enough gordos tho.@Tyser: I promised blank i would respond to his post. So i'm just fulfilling my promise. There was no reason to read it.
@Brawl: So it seems that either out of boredom or necessity I have expanded my character playlist. I must admit...where has DDD been my whole life? I like pretending to be the Hulk and smashing things In reality, i think the reason I like DDD is the same reason guys cheat on their girlfriends. The girl you cheat with is just so different and new it makes you forget that your real girl is still 10 times better ...so you fool around with her until she does something to remind you of your real girlfriend
You should see his AIB. I couldn't even handle him on fb.I don't get it. You post like an idiot.
