Dragonite is the best for set-up.
Salamence can use a scarf and moxie.
Haxorus lacks speed but hits like a truck.

Gimme the team and I'll help.

xonar i can understand your claims but for some reason none of those pokemon have given me any major problems yet. starmie will die to several things on my team, like sucker punch, extremespeed, not being timid vs gengar, and revenge by chandelure. and every dragonite i've played has gotten burned, even DD lum berry nites.

i can try sableye haha but i think it is kinda ugly. LOL. i forgot how it's played too. recover?

anyway, the way i play this game is offense lol. i don't think in terms of what can potentially defeat me. i think of a strategy that can work to defeat the enemy first, and i'm not afraid of using gimmicks. sub disable gengar is good for keeping gengar alive and making people switch around, but hypnosis potentially shuts down a pokemon for the whole game.

scarf chandelure is godlike in general and i can't wait for the day i can play shadow tag in ou.... unless... it'll always be banned.... :(

Well Dragonite can't use multiscale then, so go with Haxorus, there's speed enough and you can pass the speed boosts from Ninjask.

uhhh Sableye is a disruptor/dismantle type of poke. Stick with Spiritomb if you're going for offense :p

I normally pass to Electivire because it has so many type options for attacks.

That or Garchomp..

I really dont want to have Haxorus on my team lol Oh well I suppose

I just find throwing a sash on a passer works well, generally by the time you've boosted your speed that much(I use ninjask) so it generally works fine.

Also whats your opinion on Ninjask boosting then passing to a Swellow to Endeavor/Aerialace his way through. Give Swellow a Sash so that it sticks to 1hp. and yeah.

been playing around with pokemon... i am trying out sableye like you said, and it's pretty nice.

now running:

rhyperior
jellicent
gengar
sableye
scrafty - dd sub. this thing is freakin baller. bulky, resisted by almost nothing, and has shed skin. a very, very reliable sweeper.
salamence - special mixed. dragon pulse, hydro pump, flamethrower, earthquake. he was originally the recipient of the smash pass, but i realized his coverage with this set is so good that he doesn't need passing.

speaking of gimmicks

i'm facing against a single BP chain of a whole team of eeveelutions. it's pretty good LOL. but i think my gengar is singlehandedly dismantling it even after being behind the whole game

maybe i'll run pursuit over close combat just for jellicent

hitmontop doesn't need that fighting stab anyway. it can 1hko max/max skarm with a bit of prior damage with mach punch...

y'know what **** baton passing, i'll sweep with a belly drum smeargle. sacred fire, technician bonemerang, and STAB extremespeed. no ****s given. he doesn't even need spore.

Why doesn't smogon even mention taunt for Ambipom?
It stops certain switch ins like Spiritomb, Cofagrigus, and Ferroseed in thier tracks and will usually catch the opponent by surprise. It might sound a bit unconventional on paper, but after testing it out a bit, I found it pretty effective. Any thoughts?

So I'm trying to get back into Gen V since BW2 come out in Japan at the end of the month but I don't want to play a serious team. Instead I'd like to create a team like the old ragequit teams of Gen IV (you know, the ones with Togekiss, Jirachi, Machamp, Rotom-S, etc.). So my question is, what are the most annoying pokemon of Gen V OU right now?

Pretty sure Choice and T-Wave Jirachi is still good, and Machamp will never be bad. There's Multiscale phazing Dragonite (Roost, Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail, Substitute). Disable has perfect accuracy now, so you could try Sub Disable Gengar. Other than them, I can't think of much. Maybe a Rain Dish / Dry Skin team, but that would have some pretty glaring weaknesses.

uh...spreading paralysis is really good. porygon2 can do that while also not crying like a little ***** when it gets poked by an aqua jet. could just run offensive thunder wave reuniclus, that sounds like a great set to try out

dragonite's good for paralysis too with the subroost thing.

jirachi/togekiss and machamp are gold standard flinchers/haxers. could also have fun with paralyzing everything then trying to get a free turn on a para to set up something ridiculous like belly drum marowak. that'd be fun too.

sableye can be really annoying. paired with dugtrio, your opponent will have lots of fun being ****ed up by sableye's sub+recover+taunt+wisp set, ESPECIALLY when you trap their heatran.

i messed around with a throh that was kind of irritating for people to play around, but sand in ou means it's kind of a bust, since it relies on sub+protect for leftovers recovery.

sigilyph is kind of trolly, setting up with cosmic power and then ****ing stuff up eventually.

s'pose you could use serene grace offensive blissey. max speed/max special attack or bust.

sableye is the most freaking amazing utility. he surprised me soooo many times just by throwing him on my ghost team. way better than spiritomb. i put Foul Play on him over sub though, because i love biting back lol.

lol spenser @ your random silly suggestions like belly drum marowak.

Final Gambit Victini + Sunny day Heatran (possible Rain Dance Jirachi too for stopping sun) has blown my mind lately. I love shutting down Rain and Sand teams so quickly. All you have to do is kill their weather user and then use the one that hurts them. Also sunny day heatran has 252 sp.attack/ 252 speed and is timid, so it does some serious damage with flamethrower and hp ice (outspeeds most gliscor who expect sp.def heatran).

Also, Tangrowth is great.

So BW2 move tutors, anyone actually play around with them? Kind of wondering if Stoutland is viable on offensive sand teams.

Ruins them until you change the weather/notice sand offense has more than just 2 Pokemon on a team/notice there are non-sand offensive teams.

Could explain the second two things, Ulti? I get that changing weather is bad for a weather team, not sure what you mean by the other things.

He was implying it can beast every OU offense team ever simply because it gives a few sand mons issues.

Really, what I was saying is that Offensive teams actually have **** that isn't one shot by Superpower, or in General, flat out don't give two ****s about Stoutland. On top of that, there are plenty of Offensive teams that AREN'T sand, which lowers its pool of abuse even more.

Well okay, so Stoutland isn't a god. Is it worthy of a position on an offensive sand team, though?
