I would hold fests but I always have Friday classes, so unfortunately it's completely and totally up to Glick to throw anything than resembles what one would call a smashfest. Oh and **** project M ok.

I think it's the whole "new" effect that's making you think that Guru. Get some hands on time with the game and you'll probably see the same BS that frustrates you in Brawl+come up in Project M. I'll check it out eventually but I dunno man...do you think it's more balanced than plus?

It's definitely not more balanced than B+. We are nowhere near the balancing stage and it's definitely not ready for tournament.

What it is is fun. The whole point of the project is that the Melee engine is both more fun and more competitive than the Brawl/Brawl+ engine (for some people, not everyone obviously). So we're trying to make Melee 2.0, with more characters and hopefully better balance. It's playable and fun right now but we're still in the early stages.

I've already been kicked out of the B+ BRoom for my support of P:M, among other reasons.

Truth is I've kinda gotten bored of it. P:M is fresh and exciting and pretty much what I originally wanted out of B+ anyway.

The game isn't balanced, but like J said, it's incredibly fun.

I stumbled upon Glick's place today, and we just played P:M for 7, 8 hours straight (we played a total of 2 B+ matches tonight). It may just be the "newness" of the game, but yeah, it's addictive, and the fast and epic pace of the game really appeals to me.

This is a game I plan on taking much more interest in.

But yeah, at least try the game out next time we get a fest going, Silven. Won't hurt. ;-)

What I was gonna say before...before it got deleted was that, it's gonna be already competing for a super minuscule niche community. I honestly can't see a tournament having Brawl, Melee, Brawl+ and Project M going on all at once. Apex is the next major to feature Brawl+ and I plan to go to it for that. I'm already getting a bunch of people telling me to play other fighters like SSF4 and Blazblue (when it hits) and adding another Brawl spinoff to that list is gonna be lame with my schedule.

I'll definitely try it like I said. I'm not against it at all...I just don't see it going anywhere as far as serious competition goes. At most, I will play it as "one of games you play for fun when you're bored". I mean, the numbers that Brawl+ garnered were mediocre at best and to think Project M will capture more interest is a little far fetched seeing as how console people (no matter how good it may be) are super resilient to home brewed, hacked, user made games. It works in the PC community because people are used to modding and what not but lately I've realized that console gamers (particularly fighting gamers) are way too close minded when it comes to this type of stuff. Not to mention the distrust they have for the developers and their idea of balance.

Who knows, maybe it was the handling of Brawl+ that made a lot of people brush it off as a joke. I mean, some of the changes were stupid and ridiculous and it turned a lot of people off so that could be it...perhaps Project M has a better crew? I don't know... but yeah once again like I said I'll definitely check it out, just don't count on me playing it seriously or whatever. Too many REAL fighters are out right now and concentrating on any type of smash game is just hilarious amongst the general fighting game community

I can't Black I'm sorry I already have work scheduled and I gotta be honest, I'm not at all hyped for Brawl (any type) right now. I've been doing a lot of Starcraft 2 lately and thinking of getting into SSF4. Just not feeling it right now

well.. i have this saturday off, but its looking like no one is going. GREAT! another excuse for me to spend a day playing MH Tri ~^.^~ Mistah Silven. I know your in your sc2 phase, but we gotta start practing in TvC again hardcore. Due to recent developments in my life i think imma make east coast throwdown and evo so if you can get interested in the game again lets do it big.

If heads are actually going to this shindig then I could hold a fest tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday after 5pm until whenever. Wednesday is my off day so that would be ideal, but friday works as well.

Yeah we can mess around with that. I doubt my performance will be par but who knows, I usually level up between matches so I should be fine around the 200th match or so lol. I'll try to check out ECT also but SSF4 is gonna completely **** every other game's thunder and hype it's gonna feel like Brawl+ all over again lol.
