I can see Dedede as being high tier. He has good combos, high priority, great grab range and multiple jumps.

Also the things he can do out of a tech chasing is great...

effin Frigate... luckily I always ban that stupid stage in tournaments, so I don't actually have to worry about it.

Sigh...

* points to Tournament listings part of the boards *

seriously though your going to have to travel a bit for a tournament. Nj is closest and its not terribly expensive to get there and back depend on where its being held. plan on going oss for the big stuff though. Now go away.

lol.. surprise rudeness from shin

Is there a way for the to reduce the damage and knock back from Aero Dive? It'd make a nice counter pick if the hazzards weren't so extreme.

To my knowledge, they're not able to modify stage hazards.

Once they figure that out, I'm sure Port Town would be finally viable (as would Pictochat, Green Greens, and maybe Onett).

Actually we are fixing up stages right now. I haven't heard anything about Port Town yet, but the bombs on Pirate Ship have been removed, so stage hazards are definitely able to be edited.

That stage isn't viable. People will camp the water to their heart's content. I know I will if that's legal.

Oh I know. If the water isn't either removed completely or turned to low gravity air, then I will never allow it at my tournaments. Permanent water can't work in this game.

Or...we could add in the effect that balanced brawl has. If you're at high percents you drown really fast....random thought.

So that characters at low % could more easily watercamp characters at high %? No thanks.

A legal Mushroomy Kingdom?

... Yeah, can't see that happening. All permanent walk-offs besides those of Onett are just big no-nos.

What you see is what you get. Camera starts there and doesnt move. Platforms are moving, so the stage is not frozen. No walls or anything. 2 players spawn on platforms and the other two on the island.

The only thing in debate is removal of the blocks. I want to keep them in, but reduce the HP of teh blocks to 1 and slow the rate of spawn, but other people just want them removed. :V

Meh.

the platforms on the left and right of the stage would make recovery waaaay too easy. and with the blocks there, people will get saved left and right. It'll be Luigi's mansion all over again.

maybe if the ledges weren't grab-able?

Recoveries will be too easy if you allow it to be easy. Where you are and where your opponent is determine if recovery is easy or not.

If they're recovering from the left, I stand on a platform and drop down when I go too high. If they're recovering from the right, I stand on a platform and jump to the one above when I go too low. The platforms are pretty close as well, so you could probably reach through the one above to cover that one too.

lol what a stage.

Looks way too small, more cramped than warioware. Recovery looks amazingly easy with those platforms

... Either way though, it'd be an improvement over the original stage. And I'd like to try it anyway. So... go for it!

Well recovery is theory craft until its put into play, and we can increase the size if its too small. >_>

Well, I already told guru about this, but skyworld can't be a CP until they remove that auto snap glitch. Because since the platform is hit-able, characters like DK or TL can 100% autosnap those ledges.

Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me.

Yeah, I hate Skyworld. No amount of fixing will undo the damage done to me because of that stage. Even the layout is awkward.

The lack of top 3 platforms is a GOD SEND for that stage. Anything that's happened to you in the past is a result of those things god **** things.

And the layout is mad similar to BF wtf.

Have you seen the new Skyworld, Shin?
Dont pay much mind to me unless I make a long post. I troll these forums now mostly so i'm usually saying something silly.

on skyworld no i have not seen teh new one but like vanz said the past has hurt that stages image alot and if the platforms are still breakable then then i'm against it. garanteed deaths due to not having an edge to grab makes me look not as sexy as I usually do.

The top 3 platforms are permanently broken and the bottom platform is invincible, so that's not the case anymore.

So are skyworld platforms clouds now? Can't you get spiked through those? I don't really like that layout for MK. We have so many CP's now we don't need to half azz some more.

Blackanese start posting.

That's true, but that kinda elimnates the element of forcing your opponent on a platform and limiting their options. we already have a battlefield. We don't need a fake one.

We should focus more on saving green hill zone <3

Well it's not completely like BF. The layout is similar but there are distinct differences. And if you can hit people through the top platform, that's more that sets it apart.

If anything its a mix of Kongo Jungle + BF

Niggs are hating. That sounds really good wtf?! 3 cloud platforms and one central platform that's auto sweet spot-able..?! That's a GREAT counterpick stage. Are you guys kidding me?

There are some character who would completely dominate with the auto snap and that's why it's called a COUNTER-PICK because it doesn't necessary help all the characters. I'd like to actually try it out but so far the idea sounds really good. I don't understand the bias against a stage just because in the past stupid things have happened. The way the stage was before was ******** and made no sense especially with the massive hitlag applying to the stage himself... now since all of that is gone it sounds like a very viable counterpick for characters with quick upb's since it will auto sweetspot. Mario, Marth, GnW come to mind. Call it cheap but hey it's bannable right..? (I also like the idea that if they miss they will upb under the stage and kill themselves)

Btw I actually like the auto sweetspot if you hit a shield or a character's leg/hand. It adds some depth and forces the defending player to be careful in not touching the character in the wrong way or else you could help their recovery by making them auto-sweetspot. It also forces them to space themselves instead of doing gay things like shielding then fairing out of shield to edgeguard certain characters. More precision = more skill dependent game.... It's somewhat of an advantage for the person that's knocked out because it limits a lot of the easy mode edgeguards and forces the defending player to use be more careful with their spacing.

It's stupid silven.

It generally looks glitchy and it doesn't work 100% the time. so even if it was a good idea it isn't a reliable AT or w/e.

I think it makes recovery harder. not even harder. They just have to be more careful to sweet spot it themselves well.
