After Chozo's vid, please critique this vs Mario: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5amlxx_1zgk&feature=plcp
(the 2nd stock SD was me misjudging how far forward Bowser would move with fire breath)
I'm playing better against good people. My Klaw/firebreath spacing are bad; tips for timing/spacing would be helpful. The grab release Dsmashes were poorly buffered Dtilts :[ . I also have a LOT of trouble landing and escaping attack chains.

Edit:
vs Marth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGJ8aeO-l-8&feature=plcp
This one has better grab release and OoS stuff but a worse opponent. Knowing air Klaw takes 2x as long to start helped my timing. I misjudged Bowser's vertical recovery for an early SD but still won. Aside from that the vs Mario game's probably better for critiques.

Whoa, we have a lot of videos in the backlog here.

I or one of the other Bowsers will gladly get to them as soon as we can.

Talking about Bowser videos. When will you get more videos your own, Uncle? I only saw one video of your Bowser. Friendlies can count, too.

Sorry for not checking out your video, Rizen. I'll check it out later, now that I see it.

By the way, these are my tournament sets of last Saturday:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxLP5tat_ok&feature=youtu.be

(vs.:metaknight:)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTxaBBXuhzw&feature=youtu.be

(vs. :rob: )

Granted, I played like crap now that I look at it. 90% of my rolls were accidental Up-B OoS attempts.

But, um...check them out. These are my first tournament sets. So take note that I usually play much worse than this in tournaments, so this is an improvement. :glare:

^I think you did well vs ROB and out played MK except a few freak SDs :[ . Lol MK runs into a charged Fsmash at 52% and dies at 5:38.
Ignore the previous post; this one's better. VS ROB, critiques are welcome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwVzeiwIcoI
Still a lot of old habits from other characters lol. My Bowser is getting better.

Those matches were really well-played in my opinion, Limit.

Could you give me a lesson/tips when it comes to Bowser's movement? You aren't particularly known as being a "fast" Bowser, but your movement there was so fluid. I like that very short dash dance you do.

I have no idea where this comment is coming from

I think the way of movement tells alot about a player and their playstyle. Simple things like that can sometimes help you determine the skill level of the player.

apparently QCF motions are a problem for me because I keep Bowser Bombing while trying to fast-fall klaw hop lol

It's an easy problem to fix, I know how to do it. But it just always happens to me :/
Good work! What's that music? I can't place it...

My Bowser buffering can do weird things like Klaw instead of upB or vice-versa. It happens more when I'm tired or have played with a different controller like a PS2 one. :c

I'm with Flayl, I'm a bit confused at the first half of that statement. I didn't know that I was known in the first place, and if I were it'd probably be for my Bowser movement over anything else lol. I have always said for a couple of months now that Bowser players now aren't really taking advantage of what Bowser can actually do and what positions he is able to put himself in with Klawing and wavebounced moves.

If I'm not "fast", then who would you call it?

Anyway, for tips just know general things on what characters can do out of certain positions. Fox-trotting and pivoting are just things any character can do. Bowser looks weird doing it because you usually see Marth players do a lot of that, but it's still beneficial to him.

I just use a lot of wavebounced firebreath to cover my landings sometimes because Klaw and even airdodging sometimes seem a bit too obvious. You can do a wave bounced flame to get you on or offstage and keep your second jump for the last moment or whatever you need to do.

Klaw hopping is good, but it's even better when it's done while in a fast-falling state because it not only looks better but it can actually get you out of hairy juggling situations and other stuff. The way I do it is by doing Hadokens or QCF (quarter-circle forward) motions so that by the end I will have passed the fast-fall state by pressing down, and I will be pressing forward and when I press B to get the klaw out. If you wanted to do it normally you would just press down, release the stick to neutral and then press side b, but I find it easier to do that. I get Bowser Bombs randomly just because of human error, but I can get the FFKlaw when it counts so it's whatever lol.

Aside from that, just trial and error, basic practice, training and a bunch of matches...I've been playing Bowser for like 4 years now.

It's also really really important to figure out how to do "instant" pivot grabs, because Bowser's PG range is pretty good and helps out a lot so you don't have to do the entire dash animation just to grab behind you.

Good work! What's that music? I can't place it...

The song is from Sonic Adventure 2 (Hidden Base): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmOtxHwAfq4

The only thing that irks me is sometimes aside from the B-Bomb thing is that I get rolls when I try to regrab because sometimes my mind/hands are too fast and I'll do the dash grab motion but...roll instead.

I know that no one really critiques anymore on any character forums but if the Bowser players could give this a once over and write a little advice it would help me a lot.
vs Lucario: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmSZTC4EtsM
(Bair instead of Klaw is a habit from other characters. Wifi shielding, 'nuff said.)

I really don't know what I can say that isn't immediately obvious. Also, you got wifi making things wishy washy. Can't be sure what was intentional and what wasn't.

The only thing I can think of is, don't bother with Firebreath on Lucario. He can charge his projectile enough to beat it easily as you no doubt saw and he can DI it so well to attack you that it's just not worth it.

Good job. And don't worry about missing with Klaw too much. If you miss, chances are you too far away for your opponent to hit you with anything you wont have time to react to. I'm sad you didn't take more advantage of Bowser's GR options against Lucas. You get an extra 10 frames against him and Ness. A grab against them should be a lost stock in most cases.

Oh cool; I wasn't sure what I could pull off. Can Bowser re-grab and what's a good finisher after GR vs Ness/Lucas?

First time giving a critique about Bowser, So here goes :)

pretty clean Bowser you have there, though the only thing I would recommend you do is Grab Release instead of throwing the oppenent. heres a link on what it is and ect (http://smashboards.com/threads/updated-bowser-grab-release-thread.297972/). it really help for racking up damage and for easier KOs. Another thing I want to mention is when you fought falco. you need to try and approach more carefully at the start since he can get a kill from just one slip up in the beginning of the match. (tank some of his lasers if you have to just to avoid being spiked at the start). another thing u can do is either Koopa Klaw or use fire breath but use sparingly since most Falco's will just reflect it back. other then that I think you did well in those matches.
