I never noticed this! Whoa, great eye for detail there. It does make sense however to have the two main playable characters represent the Master Sword / Biggorron Sword playstyles I feel, as it where the main weapons of OOT Link. And also, Impa could have more easily gotten the sword, as Kakariko Village in OOT is very close to Death Mountain.Wait, is that a biggoron sword, Hyrule Warriors style?
That's definitely the Goron symbol on it.
Also, I have noticed Impa uses quite a lot of different sorts of long / broad swords. Look at the differences in the weapons here:

They did say that there will be different sort of weapons for characters however. So this could be nothing more but that, so I doubt the Biggorron Sword has any real true meaning being there, but it's still a very cool detail for fans.
