"Let's try reading and writing first..." Ashley says. She brings Alan and Dust Bunny into the library, and gives Alan a children's book. "Can you read any of this?"

"Yes, but what does this say?" Ashley asks, pointing at a short sentence. "Do you know what this says?"

Alan: (Oddly, he does not read the sentence as it says, but scans the words as though he does) The sheep... is distwacted fwom the wolf... by the toys!
Dust Bunny: Huh? What was that?... That's not on the page at all!
Alan tries to read again.

"Okay, I don't think he can read..." Ashley says. She hands Alan a piece of paper and a crayon. "Can you write 'Alan'?"

(Dr. Goomba Tower gasps followed by Goomba 1 to scream, Goomba 2 to sigh, and Goomba 3 to look slightly annoyed)
Goomba 2: Man... With money, she would come back...
Goomba 1: YOU SCUMBAG! WE FLEW ALL THIS WAY TO BIRTH A CHILD AND WE DON'T GET PAID!? OUR SHIP DOESN'T LEAVE FOR A MONTH! WE MIGHT AS WELL SELL YOUR UGLY BRAT TO THE SHADY PEOPLE AROUND HERE!
Goomba 3: Whoa... Calm down... While we're here we might as well do something worthwhile.
(The Goombas huddle up and discuss something, with Goomba 2 being gloomy, Goomba 1 being furious, and Goomba 3 at his wits end. Goomba 1 then attacks Goomba 3 followed by the sounds of Goomba 2 duct taping Goomba 1's entire body. The Goombas then stack with Goomba 2 at the bottom, Goomba 1 in the middle, and Goomba 3 at the top)
Dr. Goomba Tower: Okay, since we have nothing better to do, then how would you feel if we looked after your baby? We'll make sure this nit-wit (Signals to Goomba 1) doesn't get in the way.

"Hmm...That kinda sorta looks like it says Alan..." Ashley mumbles. "So you can improve your writing. Next..." She then picks up Alan and brings him into the bathroom, and shows him the toilet. "Do you know what this is?"

At the shop, Dust Bunny meets the butcher.
Butcher: Welcome, customer! Today, you're in for a special deal. We have here a nice, juicy flank on sale.
Dust Bunny: Why is it green?...
Butcher: Because it's what's on sale!...
Alan: Clock Towa! (Alan points at the finished puzzle)

Baby Ashley, who had done nothing but chew on the box, looks at in awe. "Woah! So pwetty!"
Ashley comes over and looks at it in surprise. "Wow, you actually did it," she says. She picks Alan up. "As a reward, I'm going to introduce you to one of life's greatest delicacies..."
She brings Alan into the basement and opens a freezer. She takes out a piece of raw human meat and thaws it with magic, and then gives it to Alan. "It's very yummy!"

Alan eats a piece... Dust Bunny returns home empty-handed.
Dust Bunny: I'm back. The butcher tried to sell me this moon beef thing. It was gross... Hey, Alan.

Ashley whispers into Alan's ear. "Shhh....You can't tell him about your snack. It's a secret," she says.
Baby Ashley gets up and toddles over to Dust Bunny. "I wan' human meat!"

Ashley picks Baby Ashley up. "But shouldn't such a cute wittle baby deserve to have her favorite treat?" she says. She then brings Baby Ashley's face closer to hers. "Dust Bunny is just being a big ol' meanie!"

Baby Ashley starts to cry. "Dust Bunny is too mean!" she wails. Ashley rubs her back.
"There, there. Perhaps a little snack will cheer you up..." she says, carrying her into the basement. She thaws a piece of meat and feeds it to her, calming her down.

Dust Bunny pulls out a lasso and throws it around Ashley, dragging her away.
Dust Bunny: That's it! What you're doing is downright disgusting... and why does the freezer have more human meat in it? Somebody refilled it! If it was you, then I am out of here! I know you don't want to go, Baby Ashley. That's your choice!... Alan, let's go. This place isn't fit for you!
Alan cries at the idea of leaving his new home.
