Baby Ashley doesn't pay attention. "Gonna do magic and kill mean demons just wike Big Ashwee does! I so tough!" she says. She then falls off of the rocking chair and starts crying.
Dust Bunny picks her up and checks her for bruises.
"Adventure....in adventure?" Baby Ashley asks, wiping her tears. "But want my own game!"
Dust Bunny: You can have your own adventures, but I wouldn't get my hopes up that someone would take interest in publishing it. If everyone really wants an Ashley game, they might want Baby Ashley too, but their eyes will probably be on Microgames first. I think you should start small.
"But I awweady small! Want my own game!" Baby Ashley yells. She starts crying again from frustration.
Dust Bunny: We can give it a try, but don't expect anything... Let's call Diamondea. (Made up. Any concidence with a real name is just that.). They can help you get up and running.
Baby Ashley nods a tiny bit. "Okay..."
Dust Bunny: Oh, no. She just really wants to star in her own game. I told her most of the adventures she could have would be too dangerous for her, but she has a few options. We can call a group tomorrow to see about patterning and documenting the exploits of Baby Ashley... which is kind of weird since you don't have your own game yet either.
"Let's do that....I'm going to bed..." Ashley says, leaving. Baby Ashley yawns.
<They're just saying it>
Dust Bunny sets her in the crib and yawns.
Baby Ashley sits up in her crib. "Kiww mean demons and do magic!"
Dust Bunny: (Eerie music played when she said that. Deliberately obtuse, Dust Bunny goes on) Puzzle game? Good choice! What about intended audience?
"I wan' evewyone to pway my game! Evewyone pway it or die!" Baby Ashley says.
Dust Bunny: (Writing in a note pad) Ages ten and up... Let's skip to the fun part... (Arranges furniture and other objects in a row, shape-shifts into Baby Ashley's form, and braces as if he is about to jump over a sofa, but instead shifts it to the left.) How many game pieces should their be?
Baby Ashley tilts her head. "I no can count."
Dust Bunny: We'll work something out... (Dumps blocks on the floor, but is interrupted by glass shattering and a high-pitched voice coming from a thundering cloud.)
"Adventure!" Baby Ashley says happily. "Do magic and kiww things! Just wike Big Ashwee!"
Trespasser: (Eyes flash red and and white) Come along, come along! (forms a cloud next to Ashley, pointing to it) Jump on!
Baby Ashley starts crying as she falls and covers her eyes. "No more!"
Trespasser: You can't say "No more!" to adventure. This is just the beginning! Ngahaha!... We'll have you fighting the most terrible monsters you can imagine! You aint seen nothing yet! (They fly into a tenuous portion of the atmosphere) Don't panic, and the cloud can keep up with your breathing!
Baby Ashley breathes deeply and hugs her stuffed bunny tightly. "Wh-where we going?"
Trespasser: Where are YOU going? Once we have enough speed, you can dream of your very own world!
Baby Ashley's face lights up. "Dweam world!" she says. She imagines her imaginary mansion and the mystical woods around it.
Trespasser: Ngahaha! That's the spirit! Concentrate, concentrate! Fill it with all of your most hero-building thoughts! Keep thinking! This world will return when you accomplish your missio ... Ngahaha! Sweet dre...
Baby Ashley keeps concentrating. She fills the forest with terrible demons and monsters ready to be slain. She imagines herself having access to the most powerful spells in existence. Then, she falls asleep....
Trespasser voice: Good, good. My final words to you now-- setting, check. Now for plot and characters...
"Big Ashwee and Dust Bunny and all my other fwiends are in twouble and I gotta save them..." Baby Ashley mumbles in her sleep.
ShyHo: Hey, I wonder where Ashley and Red are.
ShyHo: Well, are you guys all fried up? That enough punishment for ya?
Dust Bunny and Red find themselves in a pile of dust, tangled in webs of spiders.
Baby Ashley looks around at the dark, misty forest. She whimpers in fear but tries to be brave as she treks on a barely used dirt path. Eventually, she finds her dream world's mansion and cautiously opens the door. "Hewwo?" she calls. "Anyone home?"
Aged Resident: Sophia? Is that you?... No... Well, hurry up. Get in here. It's not safe out there!
Baby Ashley closes the door behind her and runs in. "Who you?"
A.R.: You can call me A.R. That's either Aged Resident, or Augmented Reality, whichever suits you best... I'm here to get you started on your journey. Here, take this... (Hands her five hundred jewel tokens (J.T.))... It's all I have left, and I'm not likely to last much longer, so let's hurry and get you up to speed... (Guides her downstairs to a map)...
Baby Ashley looks at the map. "Big scawwy fowest, a wiver, and a big mountain," she says. "What happen to you?"
A.R.: I breathed melancholy gas for maybe one minute too long, but I'm an old soul anyway... Don't worry about me. Once you recover the Shining Happy Box, none of my adventures will have been in vain... So take a look... (The map zooms in)... Up here is your inventory. I'll tell you more about that later, but as you can see, your J.T. count is right underneath. On the otherside is the weapons you have equipped and the moves you can perf... Wait, you are a new adventurer?
Baby Ashley nods. "Just got here. No adventuwes before."
