You get annoyed hearing how every fanboy likes Ike better because he looks "Manlier". Who cares.

Chances are, Ike is gonna play like Roy, stat wise, but with different attack techs. How do I figure this? He's using a Two handed sword in one hand, similar to Roy. And in his description, he's depicted power, rather than speed. So Ike qualifies as a great replacement to Roy.

Granted, that doesn't mean Marth should be removed. Brawl can easily have 3 FE characters, and why not the original hero of Fire Emblem, the new hero of the most recent 3D FE game, Ike, and his nemesis, the Black Knight.

As many stated before, Smash Bros is a fan service, and Marth being the most wanted character of Melee can still go on for another Smash.

I'm not gonna argue with anyone, cause it gets irritating hearing how everyone and their mother wants to remove chars like Sheik and Marth because they're not up to snuff in their eyes.

If they have to put ANY Fire Emblem Nemesis in, it has to be that of the ORIGINAL hero. He has been in two games as a star after all, was the first Fire Emblem hero in Smash and he's got a title coming out on the V.C. (Sometime soon) If they do replace Roy (Which I desperately hope they don't) then they should use on of Marth's enemies. Yes he was Japan only but that didn't stop him from being popular in Europe or the States so why now?

Samus isnt too slow if u wavedash. she is the one with the superwavedash i mean. as for DK and Bowser...yea. plus wut Sakurai sed made me think too. i guess he is heavy.

Well, he didn't say he was heavy. He just said that heavy characters would have attacks that protect them from flinching. He never said Ike was heavy. And if you consider Aether's speed in FE9, it'd be a bit strange to give one really fast attack to a slow character.

Also, from our concepts at least, heavy is completely different from slow, right? Heavy = someone who doesn't fly much; Slow = one that has a lot of lag in one's moves, right?

Nevertheless, this flinch protection is gonna make slow characters more competitive, so we have no worries.

no see. wut i meant by mentioning Zelda is because he thought that Sakurai was done putting things up for FE, which would bring down chances of Marth being there. but if Sakurai was done with FE then i guess that means Zelda would have no FS because he hasnt put anything up from Zelda in a while.

I would think if they go with red hair blue hair characters as replacements for Marth n Roy.
My money is on Ike inheriting marth's strengths and replacing the weaknesses with his own moves.
And Eliwood(Roy's Dad) to do the same for Roy.
Maybe even throw in Hector for some big man action.

Yeah thats what i ment when i was worried. i think im thinking of it to much about marth's chances of being in the game. But you got me thinking about zelda not having a fs cuz if they already finished links fs b4 they brought zelda in they brought her in while link finished all his introduction attacks. which means Marth still has a chance. Well that eased my mind about marth

they should both be in, but they should really make all the FE characters somewhat different, so that all the main FE characters can be in. however, if i have to vote 1, i have to say Marth. Path of Radiance was just not as good as other, 2D fire emblem games.

I've never played Marth or ROy because I don't understand Japanese, so I might be a bit biased but especially at the guy who decides to put japanese characters in a game which would be released to America. Remind me who Sigurd was. BK should be let in no doubt. Perfect for Space Emissary Ike VS BK.
