if you give a smaher a muffin he will most likely.

eat it
taste it and throw it away.
or...will look at it,throw it to the ground, and stomp it into nothingness.

then flame the muffin man.

I wish the blog would stop with the finger wagging posts. It's a little unprofessional and is completely off base. This is the second time you guys have addressed the whiners, but I can't see why you don't just let them whine in peace. You aren't so special that you get to use your status to deliver wrist slapping, this is just stirring up more drama. So why not stick to covering updates and talking about Brawl in general and leave your ego at the door. I didn't mind the post as a whole (though it's a little pointless) until you directly confronted the complainers. They have a right to complain, so just step off and continue on your way if you don't like it.

  1. I like wagging my finger
  2. it's quite professional
  3. we built this base and we're staying on it
  4. whine in peace? you mean... bother everyone else and waste time/space
  5. we ARE that special
  6. you're the drama... have you been stirred?
  7. if the post was pointless... isn't there less of a point in pointing that out?
  8. The post isn't about not complaining. It's about getting a little perspective on the issue.

^^^ That's a list of things that might upset you. Though I respect the concern you expressed, I figured I'd send you a few muffins.

Muffins!

Nice post! I am always gratefull for any kind of update. I can't think of any other game that gives out muffins every weekday. I like the chocolate ones the most (new character, sonic or video, fox's misfortune) :)

Muffins...hahaha, very nice analogy. All this talk about muffins though is making me a bit sick...

I'll admit, I used to start getting worked up if I didn't see a new character or see an event/controls update, but just learned to enjoy it.

Once again, i'm sick already. Reading about muffins did NOT make things better either >_>

With Nintendo's new demo channel out for the Wii, how many people would stop checking the updates if they gave us the E4ALL demo of supersmash bros. brawl? Or posting for that matter, tournament checking excluded?
That Channel is only out in Japan now.

Good analogy, and I agree, it is pitiful that we complain about these things, when we are privilaged to get them...
And the post made me hungry, so I am off to go eat a muffin :D

That's a cool analogy.

the best part is the analogy was used with muffins which are the best.
ALL HAIL CORNBREAD MUFFIN

I wonder if they added muffins as a weapon for Super Smash Bros. Brawl
that would be the funniest thing ever.

its like you get hit by a muffin and does 50 damage.

Yea the smashers shouldn't complain.

If they are so mad about something, ranting or complaining isn't gonna do anything.

so you just waste time and breath....

I can't really agree with this st atement because t he muffin man is a doosh in my opinion. last year the original release date for Brawl was scheduled by most websites for June of 2007, when i heard an anounced date for December I didnt complain and got my waiting pants on, But now 3 days after the second announced released date we still have nothing more than a few new characters that although may be pretty sick we still havnt heard of a new character in almost two months, The muffin mans muffins are stale and unimportant, and just when smashers are pissed enough, he announces that hell be giving a mandatory handicap for people who suck using the smash ball, and im sure the only way to get rid of this is to turn the smash balls off which kinda takes away from the fun. I know Sakaurai is working hard and im not going to take that away from him, But come on. Ive litterally grown so tired of waiting that im going to hop a plane to japan and shoot myself in the face right in front of him.....

So the Muffin Man hasn't opened up his new shop yet, at least he's still delivering muffins daily. Look, he's not a doosh (douche), he's just perfecting his art. Sakurai (aka Muffin Man) knows what he's doing, and the delay will only inevitably make Brawl (aka the new muffin shop) even more enjoyable for a long time coming.

Oh and... good luck with shooting your face. :psycho:

I never get disappointed by the muffin...rather sometimes, it's not perfect. Don't get me wrong, I always enjoy the muffins. I liked the widescreen update since I got my Wii hooked up to a 42'' TV in the living room (it's really more comfortable to play a Wii in a huge room rather than a small one, in my opinion. Besides, why let a 42'' TV go to waste when you can play video games on it?).

I'd really love it if the Muffin Man gave us a muffin with red hair, leather outfit and a holy whip. That'll be the best muffin in the world.

All in all though, I never ever hate the Muffin Man and will never hate him. His muffins are sometimes slightly stale and tasteless, but hey, I still enjoy them!

Deep, kirbykid. I guess I too will admit I was disapointed about updates of late, but even if there's just one new update a week, or a new mode at all, it was worthwhile. This week is good because a new music and a FS.

Although I do not like the stale muffins at all, I do not complain about them because they are free, and I strongly oppose complaints about these free muffins given to us ungrateful peasants by the muffin man.

Not really. The 'Muffin' concept is a bit dizzying, if that's a word.
But yes, everybody wants a same flavor of muffin over and over again.
I'm addicted to charectar muffins myself.

It's about time someone posted about that. I've thought the same thing with every new post in the morning...someone always whines, despite the fact we rightly shouldn't have any updates at all but for Sakurai's generosity.

This sort of daily-update system we have is simply unprecedented and unheard-of, yet people continue to complain about it. Like errant dogs, biting the hand that feeds them.

He could update to talk about the weather for all I care. He's making the Smash Bros. to end all Smashes, and that's good enough for me. :)
QFT I could not agree more.

I agree with most of this analogy, with us getting greedy because of the bounty of wonderful updates then the appearance of less-then-awesome updates that appear mediocre because of the previous ones.
The true story is this though: Nintendo is still a company trying to be profitable. They will not release updates that are amazing unless the game is in the center of attention from the gaming world so they can build as much hype as possible. When the game is out of the spotlight (AKA: Right now) then the updates won't be quite as fantastic. They still want their slice of the economic pie: this part of they way they do it.
There you go. I'm not satisfied with the updates still (as my sig shows) but I do agree with the analogy overall.

That was touching.

Now I want a muffin, but a literal muffin. One filled with the muffin man's love and affection. One which I could share with the world.

Or not.

Blueberry muffins rule. That said, the Dojo- er, Muffin Factory is a marketing ploy, not golden drops of Sakurai's generosity (or in this case, golden warm buttery muffins). Lots of the mediocre muffins have NOT been a part of Muffins-4-All.

My theory is that the muffins have cooled off to give the other holiday season games like Super Mario Galactic Gingerbread Cookies a chance to gain more attention. Perhaps the muffins will finally heat up come January, because we'll know everything there is to know about Super Smash Brothers: Muffins in a month and a few days or so.
