Well, thanks for the criticisms. I actually hope that at some point I can publish a book of the things. As a result, anybody who willingly critiques my stuff is incredibly helpful. I try not to make it too easy, but when I know what I'm writing about to begin with, everything makes a lot of sense and I always think it's too straightforward. I actually have an acquaintance who solves these with alarming frequency, but I'm pretty sure she falls in the category of "freaking genius."
Well, here are a few more.
With history's light that is freely provided,
you dwell in the glow of our past.
Connected by sight yet by worlds divided,
we stay longer than we can last.
Here's another one, and I THINK this is easier...
Where the earth cries at being trod upon,
where man leaves his trail behind,
It follows at the escaper's heel,
for the one pursuing to find.
And lastly, this being one of my favorites...
She sits in the back of the room,
and she tells you things you must do.
You listen to her for she's all that you know,
and each part of her is in you.
She's heard all the secrets you're told,
and she's seen all the things that you've seen.
She doesn't exist 'till you continue on,
and after she always has been.
Sometimes she falters and trips,
and she fails to live up to her name,
but when she has stumbled you will never know,
for what she's lost you never have gained.
At times she appears in your dreams,
and at times she is all that you see,
and when you have died, you leave her behind,
to live on earth in stead of thee.
Enjoy, criticisms welcome ^_^
Oh, and on another note... Waldo is in my heart, and always will be.
