Hey i want alot of people to answer this one.

Will IC + IC vs Any + Any work out? like having two ice climbers in one team?
How many of us play stepmania and need help with wobble timing?
All UK Ice Climbers leave your name here also

THANKOOO

IC's aren't that great in teams because their partner has to worry about killing Nana and they have to worry about Nana hitting their partner. Also, the IC's game is pretty grab heavy, and teammates can break their partners out of the Wobble.

true IC arent ment for teams. To mcuh trouble worrying about nana killing or being killed by your partner. since in 2v2 you dont really have to many chances to grab IC power is cut down by more then 50%

Actually, a pretty decent team is Jiggs + IC.
IC + IC never goes well but Because IC can prolong grabs with the infinite or various other methods it is possible to give Jiggs enough time to get over and rest...not to mention Jiggs is godly at rescuing poor Nana.

Well, for me it works just don´t care to much to rescue nana, and if it happens that your teammate loses his/hers stock and you end up 2vs1 they might still get some trouble^(just my own experience)"random" smashes is good..
EDIT: never tested double IC´s though..
Just test to counterpick onett, it makes IC´s day in teams^^

(off topic but...) i've always wanted to see a samus/samus team with alternating double missiles...

I have limited experiece with my IC's on team, mostly b/c of my usual partners. Some people don't like seeing that extra character. Confuses them and gets them worried about hitting the partner.

I've come across decent IC's on teams though. I think IC will do better on larger stages like final d and dk64. Gives them more room to wavedash and just space to breath. Small stages i think hurt them most. I think the inablity to mess around with desynchs hurts more than not being able to grab. Grabs are still possible, it's the grab combos that are hindered.

All in all, i'd say it's very dependent on the stage and your parnter. Not saying you need a great partner, just someone who understands what the IC's need.

And i think that jigg + IC team would be pretty effecient. Jiggs in the air, IC's on the ground. It's all covered.

Only time i pick IC's for teams anymore is when i come across a troublesome sheik. Otherwise i use sheik. >_>

there actually pretty good on teams if you have a good partner that knows what to do. They play the role of getting kills and keeping stock. The only real draw back to them is its easy for the other team to double team ur partner because you always gotta play a constant defensive role or else u get desnyched too much and its just a huge mess.

Quadruple Ice Climber team...someone should pioneer this because I think that with enough practice, the desynchs and infinites could make for an incredibly potent team.

friendly fire is on, it would be silly for it to be off. Imagine 2 falcos with desynched SHL or 2 peachs floating next to each other with n-airs or desynched d-smashes. Gross.

Or four separate IC's shooting staggered ice blocks :chuckle:

WOW Gimpyfish is a mod!!! Anyways, Chu and I did the double infinite a while back. Pure amazingness.

We also did the infinite 2 on 1 at the end of the match with just our Popos. One of us headbutts and the other is d-tilting from the other side... I was Nana :(

For a very long time I never used ICs in doubles. However it turns out that they perform very well.

Grabs are hindered, but not completely lost. You may have to end your grabs early but you will still get much more damage than playing another character. Also, this creates a trap for the other enemy: "I'd better help him out or he'll die" then BAM! N-F-Smash. Hell if you get lucky you can even continue your CG.

Desynchs are also limited, but as long as Nana stays close you shouldn't have much of a problem. However you should remember to resync before moving long distances.

Also desynched Ice Blocks/Nanapults can be a huge hazard if your opponents stay near each other. All in all, it is an effective choice, and is made even better with a partner who plays YOUR ICs a lot. They will know your habits best.

Played correctly by both teammates this is a great match.

^ Wow, that was really insightful.

Anyway, I just wanna suggest no double IC teams. Mainly because you can't have four people on a team fighting two without the four beating the living crap out of each other in the process.

I've tried the double IC team. It's okay as long as you watch out for the other Nana. It's easy to lose track of who you are out of the 4 climbers sometimes too.

I do ICs+ Peach. I know, it sounds completely dangerous and stupid, but me and my partner rarely hit each other anyways, so my partner doesn't have to worry about Nana. Since I play at my partner's house every morning before school and after school until dinner, we know each other's styles so we know not to get in the way of each other.

IC/mario(or doc) works well, mario combos them to higher damages and iceclimbers come in with a wavesmash or grab>smash...

One day me and my smash partner Nhat went to a guy called Frostbytes house for smash
It was Frozenwave (me) and Nhat (Marth) vs Frostbyte (Marth) and SliqIce (Falco) on Corneria. I immediately moved to the left to get myself a seperate playing field, Nhat ran to the right. I was up against Frostbyte and i was wobbling him. He was going to shout to Sliq 'Help ME!' when i whispered, 'Shh he cant hear you'. Sliq starts running up to me when Nhat starts CG him, in the end we had 2 chaingrabs going, one being the infinite and one being a 0-death xD

IC ROXOR!
