Samus might be the only character IMO to actually have an advantage against snake.

Zair > Tilts.

Snake can't outspam Samus.

If snake ever gets off the stage, Dair and Zair to Dair set-ups are amazing.

Uncharged shots > Snakedashing.

I don't think Samus counters snake, I just think that she actually has an advantage.

No disrespect to you, but how many threads does this subforum (and most likely, ever non-snake subforum) have about snake matchups? haha. My only problem against Snake is KOing and approaching without getting punished so hard. But I can definitely hang with other Snakes..

There are plenty of characters that do well versus Snake. It's just people tend to write everyone off before taking the time to study each character. Samus can push Snake around all day and shift the crappy Snakes from the great Snakes. However, post this outside the Samus forum and get ready to be flamed.

In the end if you polish your mechanics then your character's strengths will burden your opponents. If your strengths just happen the very core of your opponent's character... All the better.

samus has an awesome air game in brawl. I only just recently began to use her and already i can control the air easily. Snakes weakness is his air game so a good samus player should hold up against any good snake player. (used to main snake, but then I realised how hacked he is).

Samus is underrated IMO, I main marth, but I can hold up just as well against any matchup with Samus nowdays.

Usually, I'm against spamming, but do certain things count as spam? Example: it's obviously spam if Falco is just standing there shooting lasers, same deal with Pit. Pikachu can spam thunder and MK can spam tornado. But, is it just as nooby to spam missiles and/or zair with Samus? It is pretty intimidating to see 4 homing missiles in the air coming towards you, but they move really slow and their tracking ability is limited.

Seriously though, Samus can't "spam" in the sense of being cheap. She only has three spam worthy moves and they probably need to be spammed in order for her to win. lol

That... doesn't make me feel any better. Then again, there's Falco and his lasers. IC's and their ice blocks. Pikachu and his everything.... Okay, it's time for spam >_>

Actually, screw missiles. Just spam her Screw Attack and Zair. You can't fail.

Homing missiles can go along really nicely with the zair against an opponent who isn't trying to spam back. Due to the homing missile's slow speed you can time the zair to hit right after the zair which keeps the opponent stunned just a tad bit longer. This can help give Sammy more time to run in for the KO (fsmash/dtilt), for example, or just keep the opponent from moving during the window between zairs.
