This is my combo-ish video I know its not the best, but I wanted your opinions. Though I don't want to see "you suck" or "you need practice" I just want your HONEST opinions. If however you opinion is that I need practice say so along with ways I can get better, or state what I did good and what I did bad.

I am Mr. Game&Watch and Link, and MooseEatsBear is Falcon and Falco:

editing looked good but needs more combos if it's souly for a combo video if you wanted some funny bits at the end/begining that's cool like being kirby and charging at someone and then duck when they f-tilt and grab XD and show it like 7 other times and you hear them swear loudly at you everytime.

Also as link you normally want or at least how I play is you wanta keep a bomb and boomrang going the whole time get bombs out first you can knock them around with them at high percents and nair and it's fun.

My opinion as a real smasher. Is that you need a lot more practice, to bad that you didnt want to hear cause thats what you need. You dont follow up very well and end combo's to early, start weighing out your options when you attack

Your choices of attacks are pretty random sometimes (or at least they seem to be random).

Just look up basic combos/follow-ups for certain matchups/percentages or watch videos of really good players (memorize what they do in a given situation and try to figure out why). Once you get down basic combos you can switch it up with different follow-ups. By then you should have already developed a "feel" (lack of a better word) for what works in a combo and what doesn't.

oh, and please stop jumping towards your opponent with neutral-b; it leaves you wide open

You don't really seem to have a good idea on what to generally do.

You Uair Falcon onto a platform and SHFFL Fair beneath the platform. That definitely won't hit. Either you messed up tech skill (no johns) or you made a bad decision (also no johns). So you need to work on your control and/or decision-making.

You also don't really seem to have an idea of how much stun your moves have. You'll Uair him above then go for a move that won't link (a ground move of some kind, maybe) opposed to jumping after him.

It's not even necessarily a terrible move to let go of a combo early if you're confident you can cover/beat their descent choice (not hard, since you're at advantage). But you don't use moves suited for that. For GaW and Link it's actually the same moves for a lot of those situations (U-tilt, Uair, etc).

A similar thing happens with your Link. Trying to combo Nair to D-tilt. There's just not enough stun for that to work (the VAST majority of the time). You could grab, U-tilt, jab, or do all sorts of things alternatively. You need to be mindful of your options and pick what will work, not necessarily what you want. This also happens when you get the projectile combo on the Falco and dash attack instead of spin attacking for the KO...

You don't really seem to know what the best options are for a given situation.

As for criticism on the video itself: More combos, please. Most of these clips are just exchanges of hits, not series of uninterrupted hits.
Use flashy clips for your video. I was really unsure about what I was supposed to be impressed by, or what was supposed to look cool. You should also use clips from more than two matches. Also one of the first clips is you getting ***** by a Falco, which isn't cool when it isn't a Falco video.

The best advice I can give you on how to make a good combo video is don't make one, unless you have enough cool clips for a montage. Don't attempt to make a combo video just because you want to make one.

Also, I forgot to mention: Stop using slow-motion effects, and don't repeat clips. It doesn't make the video look cooler or flashier, it's just annoying.

Yeah, to be honest in my crew I see more impressive combos with G&W and Link on a regular basis from pretty much everyone in it, and they're just "for fun" characters for everyone. I think you need to use utilt more with both characters, they both have good ones.
